Genuinely, tell me who haunts the narrative better than Rose Tyler, the Bad Wolf? Who spread her name out into the universe, a beacon to call herself into a specific moment, to save the life of the man she loved. She looked into his past and saw the hurt, the unbearable heartbreak and said, "let me help you heal". She became The Moment to guide him even before he knew her, to give him comfort in his lowest moment. Even now, the Time Lord has lived either thousands or billions of years since he last saw her (he doesn't even know anymore), and at the mere mention of her name, he spirals. Donna's daughter chose the name "Rose" based on inherited memories she couldn't understand of a woman who inspired her, who saved her mother once and helped set her on the path she needed. The Doctor looks for her on every street, in every alleyway, and on every planet. In the Memory TARDIS, the memory of her is her missing persons flyer, because the memory of her haunts him. She is missing, torn away from her own universe and left behind in another. She is missing, but never gone, leaving her indelible fingerprints on the narrative of the Last of the Time Lord's life. She carved a future for him, wove together the fabric of time to try and save him from himself. She will be haunting the narrative until the universe ends, and the Doctor with it.
