last night I had a dream where the krew was in this steam punk horror oneshot. where, for some reason, Kremy wore a gas mask designed after a plague doctor mask, and any time Gideon flirted with a woman (or a woman flirted with gid) Kremy would activate the voice distorting features of the mask and his intimidation would increase by 10

Something I forgot to mention about the dream was that Gideon had made the mask for Kremy. He had designed, engineered, and welded the entire thing by himself. He made it to perfectly fit kremy’s face, and he knowingly added in the voice distorting features.

i wish people would stop making everything about Abigail's character about John. Her character is already so centered around that man in canon, we don't need to extand that in every aspects of her character to fanon. Obviously John is a huge part of her character, as she is to his character, but I hate when female characters gets reduced to only their status of wife and/or mother. Like... some people really can't see women outside of their values as wives and mothers. (I was thinking about that cause I saw a post headcanoning the characters' favorite music genre, and Abigail's was "whatever pisses John off" or smth like that and?? Every other had their own favorite genre of music except her. I can't argue about canon because it is the way it is, but at least let's give her grace in fanon and allow her to be her own character idk. Maybe it's not that deep but it annoys me.)

also enough with the malewife!john propaganda, there's not doubts John loves Abigail and Jack but let's not act like he's the perfect devoted husband and father, even in rdr. And no Abigail wouldn't hit John, if anything he's the abusive one

I absolutely despise the way this fandom (and many others) treat female characters as accessories. They’re either the mother, the sexual object, or the devoted extension of their husband. And if they’re not one of those three things, they’re forgotten.

Abigail, of course, is forced into the first and third option. It’s obvious even when you’re not looking closely. I mean just look at the anthropomorphic art folks make. Every character is given an anthro design that reflects their character, except the female love interest. Arthur is a stag, Charles is a bison, Javier is typically a coyote or bobcat, Sadie is a cougar, but Abigail? She’s a wolf. Why? Because John’s a wolf. The same thing happens to Mary, she’s made a doe because people only view her as Arthur’s past lover.

these women are denied personalities in favor of being props. Think about it, when’s that last time you saw a character analysis for Mary that didn’t focus on Arthur in some level or another? Or fanart of Abigail without her husband and son? Don’t get me wrong, as OP mentioned, John and Jack are obviously very important to Abigail, but she is a woman beyond them and she deserves to be treated as such.

I love this game, I really do, and in many ways I love the fandom, but I’m so tired of the casual misogyny and racism. I mean shit- don’t even get me started on how Tilly is completely swept under the rug.
