Aelin awoke with a smile on her face. She couldn’t help it. She felt, well, perfect. Last night was everything she could have possibly hoped for and more. She remembered their giggles transforming into sloppy kisses and back again as Rowan had entered her again. 

They’d had sex. Like, really, truly had sex. She almost couldn’t believe it.

Almost.

Aelin grinned wider, fighting the urge to clap her hands over her face, as a surge of joy overtook her as she remembered the feeling of them coming together, faces flushed and skin against skin, unable to stop touching. She felt as if something had been unleashed in her, freed, and she wanted to stay in this bed for the rest of her life, never doing anything else. Her eyes flicked to the clock on the bedside table, expecting to see an early hour, but she was shocked to see it was already after ten.

And god help you if she doesn't because, if she was a hurricane, he was a tsunami, that would take you down no matter how high you are.

Sweet 16? My foot................

Well 16 is a damned number.

Percy had to make a life changing decision at 16.

Harry learned about horcruxes at 16 and Dumbledore died when Harry was 16.

Celeana was the youngest and most feared assassin at 16.

Katniss was sent to the Capitol when she was 16.

Clary learned about the shadow world at 16.

I for a second forgot how much Rick Riordan hates us.

Every five chapters, a new twist, and don't even ask how I knew the betrayal was coming.

And I still can't decide whether it's a cliffhanger or no.

When is the sequel being released?

Yes, I'm talking about Daughter of the Deep.

I finished the book in a day, concerned about my mental well being but, the book was awesome.

I'd be in Sharks if I went to HP. Harding-Pencroft. How I remember that only god can answer.

That one time I think of my classmates as humans

We were in language class, writing words for a dictation. She was having us revise for the upcoming exam.

She (our teacher) told us to raise our hands everytime we finish writing a word so she can move on to the next one.

I finished writing the first word and raised my hand. My pen placed under my middle finger and the finger supporting my pen with the rest of my fist closed.

Five of us were doing this and laughing. Mufled laughter filled the room.

And this guy from the back was saying "nice one Shrads. Come on."

That led to more laughter.

And when she looked up from the laptop and let out a startled "What happened. Why are you guys laughing." It was legit worth it.

My class in filled with legends.

I never said that. Nope I dont know who said it

"You can walk away right now. And no one would blame you. You could finally live the life you deserve. So walk away sister. And don't look back."

She shook her head at her brother. Utter disbelief evident on her face, "I won't."

"Why?" He scoffed. Unable to believe she wasn't gonna leave.

"Because family doesn't walk away and I'd rather make my life hell protecting them. Protecting you, than walk away and live somewhere knowing I could have made a difference here."

"At what cost?" He asked her. Hope seeping through in thick tendrils.

"My life."

She grabbed the bag at her feet and instead of walking to the car waiting for her. She walked back in to the place where she was born and brought up, knowing she was entering her own personal hell.

But the thing was. She had companions who would support her through thick and thin even in hell.
