Arctic foxes hearing their prey under the snow-pack, leap, pounce, break through the layer of snow and get their food.
...Maybe she’ll stay up here. Where there’s less snow. She’s sure if she hopped off now, she’d vanish into the pile of powder that had gathered beneath the shrine.

So… which fox is best fox?
Hopefully you all made it to the shrine to welcome the new year.
And left lots of donations.
So fun fact about foxes! They reproduce once a year, and they usually have their litters sometime in the spring! So its completely possible that the fox had her litter of kits just as the protagonist arrived in Inaba!
Did you also know that foxes are largely monogamous? [Though evidence of polygyny exists] That’s right kiddos! Foxes mate for life.
Ever notice how when you complete the social link and say goodbye, the fox brings her kits, but her mate is absent?
…..it’s probably really hard to see where you’re driving in the fog. Especially when something that’s barely a foot tall is darting across the road in the middle of the night.
