Arcade Crisis || Closed for Mizuki
Mizuki took a moment to scan the arcade, placing both hands on his hips and making a slight humming noise as he thought. Video games weren’t exactly his thing, he played them occasionally, but he sure couldn’t name one off by heart.
“Oh!” There was an idea, and he opened and closed in hands in front of him like he was trying to grab it before it got away.
“Do they have one of the rhythm games? Y’know the ones with the taiko drums?”
He made a motion with his hands like he was holding drumsticks.
Even if video games weren’t his best skill, rhythm was a pretty universal concept so if he had any chance of beating her this was probably it.
Mako pursed her lips and stiffened slightly. She raised her hands stiffly and mirrored his movements. Awkward gamer pretending to hit a drum, slight smile on her face. She’s seemed to have calmed down immensely since he showed up in the arcade. Things were good.
She rolled a little on her heels and looked around the arcade, still miming the drumming motions. When she finds the machine fit for two players, she jumps up in place and gives a small squeal.
“I-I found it!”
Mako shuffles away to pat the drums and give Mizuki a timid wave to approach.
“Hey..! Taiko no Tatsujin! P-Perfect..! This is the game, right..? I used to play this at release parties... Have you played before?”
Now that she was now aware of what was happening, her guard fell and she was acting much more calmly, albeit awkwardly.
