âcue jfc its only been a day since endgame pauseâ shut
i could always draft this for ACTUAL endgame but. thatll prolly get a post of its own, should there be new experiences from endgame planning and pregame rp or something
i already said this in the skype chat but like, it still doesnt feel like a year for me
sure my memory is shit but the things i remember as clear as day is how ecstatic i was seeing aiâs name on the roster list on sept. 18th and how absolutely excited i was approximately one year ago, october 23rd, when prologue was starting. i was with friends at a marketplace w/ a lil photo booth and already told them that i was excited for this thing and i was clutching my phone and everything, since uh
at the time i was still alienated at the fact that i got into doubt fucking academy, (iirc that has a twitter thread on its own on my twit lol) and like. i didnt have much confidence in my OCs. i was often quiet about them and shit and barely talked about them or really developed them thru conversation compared to my friends. so like, even the simple process of filling in an app and being in a hopeful chat was the one time i could develop and babble about my OC regardless of acceptance into a group for not
speaking of, im...really happy with my experience here
theres a few moments i can pinpoint that i liked abt doubt: ch2 was fucking lit because of the goddamn tension and just my realization as i invesâd like âOH SHIT, SOMEONES TRYNA FRAME AI!!!!! SHITâ and the drama in trial, ch5 was a fucking doozy in a whole because of the event, the motive, the MURDER CASE, TRIAL and like. merge. shit dude
also: this is the first DR game iâve ever stuck with that actually made it thru to endgame, and the first ive ever been a victim in. planning that case was really fun so shoutout to ellie noot and meg on that one
and like, i say âNO DONT LOV MY GIRL, SHES TOO RUDEâ a lot when ppl say they love ai, but like, realtalk. realtalk? im extremely relived and so so so so glad you enjoyed ai and how i played her throughout the game. im seriously really grateful for that. i dont think i can begin to count how many times i was worried on whether or not i was portraying her correctly and shit bc, and this is no exaggeration--i love everyoneâs oc. everyoneâs is so great in their own right and so well developed as a character, and i love how everyone plays their oc. from tora and parelthon--well at this point i can say telos, right
its gonna be alienating seeing this thing end in...like, two months from now right? ill be reading this and going âthis marks the end of a game i spent sophmore year with. my sophmore year was defined by many things and da6 was a fairly big one and now its.........endingâ i...idk if ill cry or not but just
I really enjoyed this game--and geez i gotta stop talking in past tense because like
I WANNA! LIKE! KEEP IN TOUCH W/ YALL? IN WHATEVER WAYS
WE END UP APPING TO THE SAME GAME? WE ADD EACH OTHER ON STEAM? DISCORD? BATTLE DOT NET? LIT, LIKE. YALL ARE FUN TO CHAT WITH!!!!!
really. seriously
thank you all for making my first BIG dr oc experience a great one
SO! Haruna is the one Praetis kid sheâs known since day one, due to them being text partners. They hit it off fairly well! Of course, Ai being Ai, she originally thought of Haruna as the stoic serious Sally, based on appearance and texting style, but she found nothing to really pick on. Hell, Haruna even used a cloud emoji or two in their texts, AND Ai gave her a nickname! âWeather Reportâ! ...which i quickly OOCly regretted as i realized jjba was a trigger, so i tried not to use it as much
That aside, they bonded with a mutual reaction of âthis gameâs bs, letâs try to surviveâ kinda deal. Plus, uh...Haruna took a pic of Ryoujiâs first death and sent it to her when the mascots arrived, so that helped set in the (virtual ;3) reality of the situation for Ai.
Come merge, and Ai gets to see just what sort of person she REALLY is, and she...definitely surprised her. With how passionate of an investigator she is, even if sheâd been wrong a few times and with how other classmates view her. Yes, Ai began to see why some didnât like her, but she personally shrugged it off a bit. And...I suppose the bond they forged through their texts, ch5 inves/trial and the trust Haruna put in her during private investigation despite Ai expecting suspicion in ch6 kinda made Haruna a sort of friend. Plus ayy theyâre ice cream parlor buddies too (even if we never threaded, we can say it happened)
She was...surprised to see Haruna almost cry as Monomi brought up her body too. Thus, seeing Weather Report spearhead the trial and pinpoint Tadashi being the culprit to Aiâs own case was a bit of a âfuck yeahâ moment for her. Even if she...felt frustrated as the others believed Bull, Mich and Dash for a while. You done good, Haruna, you done good.
FINAL THOUGHTS: Haruna is a cool girl in her book, mayhaps even a good friend...and you bet your ass Ai cheered as she whacked Yuji straight in the face. You go, Weather Report. You go.
this wonât be under a readmore since itâs fairly short
To be totally honest, Ai literally had no strong opinion of Tadashi until he went up and killed her. Yes, she related to the times in trial when he was done with the class and also related to his, uh...special dynamic with Monobear, but otherwise she just was kinda like âah yes, heâs a guy that exists and is tired. reliable in trials i guess, good job on kazukoâs caseâ
Then, yâknow, murder happened and her opinion flipped. She thinks heâs a lying little asshole. If anything there was a reason Ai is pissed at Tadashi--she was killed for no reason. At least, she thinks she was killed for no reason--hell, if she had heard Ebull and Dashâs personal motive for this murder, sheâd have...still been pissed, but at least sheâd be a LITTLE like âok I can see the merit it in, somehow, so whateverâ
But she didnât. Nor did she know why she was targeted--she was drawn out of a murder lottery at random, and even with Eisuke having a huge bias in the lottery, her name was drawn. So. Rip Ai and her shit luck.
FINAL THOUGHTS: Aiâs honestly gonna take the piss if she sees him again, and if not, heâll forever be known as the asshole who killed her for no reason but at least did a damn good job hiding it âtil Haruna called him out. Itâs kiinda like how she sorta feels about Senji but stronger since there was no motive and outta nowhere, and he actually succeeded in killing her--directly, even.Â
And yes, to this day sheâs at least glad she got a hit on him with her axe.
[ai voice] âsorry, i didnt choose to fucking die
no literally apparently i just had shit luck, what the fu--â
Ai originally didnât think much of him. âWeird titleâ, sure, but not much else. In fact, Masashi initially came off as BORING to her, if I remember correctly. Of course, besides the time he took a punch to protect Holly. And his, uh...apathy from the second trial. Ai took his warning as a vague threat.
From that point onwards, since Holly eventually grew on Ai, she was like...yknow how some people are friends because they share a friend? Sorta like that except just more distant. Still has a bad taste in her mouth from remembering his apathy from before, despite her finding it...understandable? In retrospect? Yeah.
Then. Chapter 4. Fucking...chapter 4, man. Ai would rather forget that trial due to succumbing to the fever at body drop and remained sick during trial, but...she found Masashiâs new attitude interesting. In fact, she kinda saw herself in the way he acted while he was sick. Not in a bad way, either (or well, perhaps THEN it was in a bad way, the way SHE had acted during trial after all), but like...âwow, so this is me, huh. And this is Masashiâs opposite... Neato.â
Chapter 5 caused Ai to harbor distaste for Masashi as he opened up the Hee-haw during a tense moment, which she surprisingly didnât welcome, in retrospect. I dunno, I guess, uh...Ch5 happenings, getting a suspect wrong and having Sarara being on heat just made her more tense. Chapter 5 was a shitshow, really, Ai seriously needed a break and Masashi didnât help.
Eventually she got used to the Hee-haw and...didnât have much of a strong opinion about him from then on until her trial, I suppose. She liked him calling out Tadashi and letting out those quips. She wished she was there too, Masashi, she wished she was there too.
FINAL THOUGHTS: im tired i might go back to this post to edit tomorrow but for now Ai thinks heâs cool, if not more apathetic than sheâd prefer, but still cool in her book. Yet, heâs still the Hee-haw man in her eyes just as Jamie is Twelveâs BF. haÂ
as for ai, well (not putting under readmore since its fairly short, might build up on it later but for now, here)
To be quite honest, Ai doesnât have much of a strong opinion of Jamie, but I hope he knows his status as âTwelveâs goth BFâ is still pretty stuck in Aiâs mind. ...er, maybe not as much anymore considering Aiâs status with, uh...Monomi.
But yes, Jamie came off as a flirt--useless would be too strong a word here, but at first Ai rolled her eyes at Jamieâs demeanor in the beginning of the game. Yâknow. At the very least, he was more calm about the whole murder situation compared to everyone else, and didnât freak out like a good chunk of the class.
As the game went on and worn on the others, Ai kinda...began to go âsameâ with Jamie whenever he showed signs of being just done with the game and their classâs bullshit. Temporarily felt bad when she had Jamie accused at one point in Ch5 trial but that didnât last long, ai just wants to. move on
In the end, Ai sorta entrusted Jamie of all people to grab the notebook so they could finally pinpoint the mastermind and bring an end to this mess, so thereâs that too!
FINAL THOUGHTS: heâs a flirt but at least heâs reliable. thanks jamie
zed dont do this to me, i love this boy and thinking about how he dies hurtsâŠ
âŠJUST LIKE IT DOES FOR AI! :D
So, disclosure for those who dont know and are reading, YES! Andrew and Ai have TECHNICALLY known each other pre-game AND pre-acceptance! Sorta. They both have seen each others works on pixiv, so Iâll start there.
Ai isnât the type to fully enjoy lovey-dovey shoujo, but found Kokamoneâs works to be objectively pretty fuckinâ sweet in terms of what the art was visually. Having to keep a mysterious air, however, she couldnât, nor did she really find an intense need to anyway, really talk with him much--especially not as a fellow teen visual artist.
NOW! IN THE GAME! Ai was already pretty spooked by the fact that, of all the times and chances to meet a fan in person, itâs someone who tried to get her killed by framing--a WELL DONE frame, at that! (dw senji i still lov you) So, at merge, upon realizing Andrew was a fan as well, she...didnât take it well. Especially not the autograph. She unfortunately took to trying to stay wary of the dude, but also trying not to let him down too hard, since she did indeed respect him as a fellow teen artist. Plus, itâs not like he did anything wrong--heâs just as stuck as she is.
...well that sure went into the shitter by chapter 5, when Andrew got her secret. As soon as Andrew showed open distaste, her trust went in the garbage. Sorry bby. Now that he clearly showed that he found her gross as a person (rightly so), she couldnât expect what he could do.
Then...Ryan texts her that chapter about Andrew. And...her trust falls even lower. She had spilled details about the secret related to Shouko to someone that...ACTUALLY experienced something that Shouko was rumoured for. Honestly her instant reaction was â...shit.â Honestly, it was a right mess. She felt more distrustful than disgusted at herself about her insensitivity.
As Andrew got louder and more cuss-happy, Ai then started to see him as some kind of loud little brat. While outlash is something sheâs interested in seeing, Andrew is a prime example of what she doesnât like in outlashes.
oh dont worry, andrewâs death that very chapter changed that around. His sudden change from absolute rage to suicidal despair...fucked her up. Especially his execution and the...part that showcased his dating. Ai felt like shit, yup. Seeing how he got bullied and all that...hit Ai close to home and made her realize just how shitty she was to him. At that moment, she...kinda wished he had gotten better. He didnât deserve that.
FINAL THOUGHTS: [peridot voice] âIT COULDVE BEEN GREAT!â but nah. Ai STILL feels shitty about Andrew. Perhaps now she can apologize, though...?
ANYWAYS UHHH honestly lemme start these out with this: at first, ai was...a shut in. and interacted very little, or at least not very indepth with other people IRL, so her views on other people began very âjudging the book by their coverâ sorta deal. and that slowly changed depending on person. also itll b hard because ya dumbass mun here didnt archive per chapter relations so shell probs have to backtrack by memory or by actual blog to see what ai would think of them throughout the game so. here we go
realtalk ill prolly edit small bits of this in the morning but like. for now: full disclosure
Honestly, at first look (and perhaps first sniff) Ai saw a pink shut-in, but not to the likes of herself, mind you. Yuka was more openly and constant self-loathing of people while Ai thought of herself as self-loathing but in the âlol who caresâ sense. ...and yuka tried to get her to tuch tha bug too so that added to her initial distaste for yuka
Eventually, as the game went on though, Aiâs distaste began to lessen as saw that she started to put her foot in the ground more on surviving this killing game and...maybe it was also her reveal of being part of the fucking YAKUZA that got her thinking âwell damn, thereâs more to bug girl than I first thoughtâ, and so Ai silently and internally began to dub her something along the lines of âMiss Detectiveâ. ...in retrospect, bug detective wouldve been better wouldnt it
also she genuinely thought yuka borrowing her pens for the bug book was cute in the dorky sense
Yes, she felt Yukaâs scream of anguish when Genta died. Yes, she did get a tad salty as Yuka laughed over Kanon being edgy (despite agreeing)...and yeah. She still regrets jinxing her death.
RIP Bug Girl
FINAL THOUGHTS:Â Yuka wasnât as bad as Ai first thought, but even after deadblog happenings, she still feels a little bad for jinxing it. For now, Yukaâs a pretty cool bug girl in her book. you go yakuza girl
Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with?
Nope! She has no siblings and her motherâs gone up and left when she was young, so the closest sheâs with is her father, whom of which she regrets not cherishing him enough before getting trapped in VR hell, so whoops! Sucks for you, Ai! (EDIT: I MISREAD THIS SLIGHTLY SO YOU GET EXTRA INFO ON AIâS THOUGHTS ABT HER DAD LOL) Speaking of momâŠ
What is/was your characterâs relationship with their mother like?
Uhh not too well NOWADAYS, considering she left when Ai was young, but they spent time together watching TVs dramas and comedies and playing with Aiâs toys together and such, as Naoko (her mumâs name) was a stay-at-home mom. Nowadays Ai wonders how she is (in a bit of a more spiteful sense butâŠmaybe itâs in a different sense now.) since she KNOWS her dadâs pretty lonely and a bit distraught for being left with her daughter (that resembles her a little too well, down to appearance, acrid tongue and drama love). âŠperhaps sheâs forgotten about Ai and Yosuke by now. Speaking of THAAATâŠ
What is/was your characterâs relationship with their father like?
Well, pretty distant and a bit one-sided, unfortunately. They were like any other cute father-daughter pair up until Naoko left, then Yosuke (dadâs name) became a bit distraught with being left a single dad. (He works as a nurse at a hospital!) Still, he took care of her nonethelessâthen Ai started to become distant by middle school. Her working on her drawings and getting bullied and developing a bit of a sleazy, drama-loving personality and allâit REALLY started to hit by high school. Even if Ai was raking in cash with her manga and giving a portion of it to dad to help financially, she basically kept cooped up in her room and their interactions were mere greetings. Heck, she mostly ate meals in her room! A shame, really.
Edit: Regret. SheâŠshe feels regret.
Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?
THIS was a toughie. Perhaps one major thing was seeing Shoko Yazawa, the girl she indirectly gossiped about being a compensated dater, commit social suicide and basically disappear from Kameoka. She justâŠdoesnât feel comfy thinking about how she might actually be dead and how something that might have not even been true at ALL possibly cost her her social life. She may like drama, but she feels lies makes itâŠcomplicated? I canât find the right word. Everythingâs more authentic when itâs true and real, Ai feels.
EDIT: Codyâs deletion. It gave her the feeling that they very well may just be erased off the face of the Earth without feeling anything, in the blink of an eye. Mostly because, spoiler spoiler, Ai glitched out in the hospital space just like Cody but got spawned in a different area rather than deleted. So. Yeah. Scary.
EDIT 2: I GUESS DYING AND WHAT FOLLOWED AFTERWARD WAS AN EYE OPENER
On an average day, what can be found in your characterâs pockets?
Out of game: strawberry gum/various candies, her phone, a spare pen/pencil or two just in case~! Not like sheâd need to carry stuff in her pocketsâsheâs mostly a shut-in anyway!
In Telos Hell: Her ID, andâŠer, thatâdâŠprobably be it. I didnât think this very through. In the case of what she often CARRIES (like, in her hands) itâd be snacks like pudding or candy and her sketchbook, I suppose.
Does your character have recurring themes in their dreams?
ErmâŠthis took a while to answer since I never thought that Ai would have dreamsâI lowkey imagined her to be one of those dreamless sleepers. Yâknow, granted she doesnât get much shut-eye in the first place? But I suppose her dreams often involve her being a shadow or a ghost of some sorts in a bit of a beat-up town, just watching the town go on (robberies, theft, murder, or justâŠregular things like a couple arguing or girls gossiping) as no one notices her.
Does your character have recurring themes in their nightmares?
This goes just as above, but Iâll list it out anyway: I feel something along the lines of all eyes and blinding lights always being on her wherever she tries to run, and all mouths (her classmates, her fans, her patrons her dad, her mom, Shoko) always speaking of her, revealing her gross nature in contrast to the mysterious but ladylike (??? I guess?) mangaka alias she pretends to be online. Maybe hands would be holding her down so she canât run and has to face all the lights and all the people.
I figure she doesnât have nightmares often, since, again, she doesnât get much shuteye, butâŠha
EDIT: Glitchy erasure has probably haunted her a few times nowadays.
Has your character ever fired a gun? If so, what was their first target?
Nope.
Is your characterâs current socioeconomic status different than it was when they were growing up?
Pretty much! She didnât grow up POOR but things were probably pretty tight at one point in her life, considering Yosuke soon became a single working dad in the middle of Aiâs childhood. As soon as she started raking in that Sweet Sweet Manga Cash, however, she was happy to set out a portion of her money for her dad, so they ended up okay and a little well off! (Not rich but u get what i mean, hopefully)
Does your character feel more comfortable with more clothing, or with less clothing?
More clothingâshe just feels better that way.
In what situation was your character the most afraid theyâve ever been?
Hoo-wee. ItâsâŠa liiittle hard to say.
Tora chapter 2 was a doozy, but she wasnât as scared then as she was, say...witnessing Cody getting erased, or glitching out HERSELF way back in ch7 when she was in the hospital space. She just felt...terrified, feeling like sheâd suddenly disappear without another word, AND without feeling anything.
In what situation was your character the most calm theyâve ever been?
Whenever sheâs in her room, not disturbed by anyone, just browsing through social media idly with snacks on standby. Or asleep, considering ⊠help this girl
Is your character bothered by the sight of blood? If so, in what way?
She really isnâtâŠat least, she thought she wasnât. Sheâs gotten pretty used to the sight of blood as a kid, when sheâd gotten the occasional bloody nose from bullying back in her school days, and ofc with her job revolving around illustrating violence and sometimes GORE, you get immune to it!
At least, you think you do. As quoted from what I put on that FE AU spreadsheet a longass while ago âGore looks muchâŠmushier than on paper.â
Ryoujiâs dead corpse was a nice âol REVELATION for Ai. Since the closest thing to shit like that was descriptions of shit from the hospital (thanks nurse dad) and anatomy charts and guro art sheâs browsed, seeing a REAL corpse in such a situation wasâŠa game changer.
At this point, Aiâs a bit immune to it lol. So many bodies, yanno? Sheâs nowâŠscarily used to it. Of course, the nature and customization of the executions areâŠunnerving to her, sometimes. Iâm talking to you, Ryouji, lmao (Sheâll probably still be pretty unnerved if sheâŠeverâŠwants to go back to drawing manga thoâŠI donât think she will. Sheâll take a longass break.)
Does your character remember names or faces easier?
Depends, I would think. Ingame: faces, but out of game, since she doesnât really care for her classmates and real people and shit, she remembers names more. The internet is a far more vast place, after all.
Is your character preoccupied with money or material possession? Why or why not?
This is hard because I donât think about this often myself
I guess she IS? She enjoys having things like snacks and desserts and tech around her, but sheâs mostly just preoccupied with drama, relationships, fights andâŠpeople, I guess. I donât have a good answer for this.
Which does your character idealize most: happiness or success?
I was about to say neither and point at âenjoymentâ, but I guessâŠthat couldâŠsort of align with happiness? You canât be a mangaka forever, and WHAT ELSE is she good for? Ha. Sheâd rather sit back and simply be able to enjoy a show rather than idealize shit like that. Lifeâs a show you canât waste a minute to wake in!
âŠmm.
What was your characterâs favorite toy as a child?
Dolls, probably. Yâknow, erâŠthe equivalent of Barbie dolls, I guess? I canât go too into depth since I havenât fleshed out her childhood all too much, butâŠdolls seem accurate for her. Sheâd like dressing them up, decorating the houses (if that was a thingâŠ?) and sometimes even playing pretend with them, Iâd imagineâand Naoko would honestly play along with her, Iâd think!
Is your character more likely to admire wisdom, or ambition in others?
She admires the pettiness ambition of people around her, really. JustâŠseeing the lengths people would go for their goals, good or bad.
What is your characterâs biggest relationship flaw? Has this flaw destroyed relationships for them before?
Like I said, she was literally alienated at the concept of people caring about her and her wellbeing.
Said alienation, initial refusal to accept praise of her, AND general nasty/careless/joking attitude, as well as her constant self-deprecation is a pretty fuckinâ big downer in relationships. Hell, part of her attitude already drives people away, she knowsâmight as well show sheâs self-aware of it right?
âŠitâs definitely cost her potential friendships. Lots of âem.
In what ways does your character compare themselves to others? Do they do this for the sake of self-validation, or self-criticism?
Depends. âŠmostly the latter though. She knows sheâs a piece of shit but occasionally she sees some people and goes âok at least Iâm not them tho lolâ. Sorry Senji, Ryouji, some others I probably forgot to mention here. I still love you.
If something tragic or negative happens to your character, do they believe they may have caused or deserved it, or are they quick to blame others?
Oh hell yeah she thinks she deserves it. Karma, baby! Gotta love it.
What does your character like in other people?
Pettiness, wittiness, cunning, the ability to take a joke and make a jokeâpeople who are laidback and careless enough to not be easily brought down. ok look masashi âhee-hawâ oichi is a special case here, she thinks hee-haw is annoying but ill be damned if she doesnt eventually get used to it and admires masashiâs directness
What does your character dislike in other people?
Pettiness done WRONG to look like absolute immaturityâŠand on that note, people acting like loud immature brats in general, people who hold huge grudges over small and/or past events, haughtiness, tryhards (ok yes she can be a tad hypocritical but sheâll swear thereâs a difference), people who (in her words, probs) have âsticks up their assesââŠyou surely get the gist.
How quick is your character to trust someone else?
LMAO NOT QUICK @ ALL (especially in a game like this) she can drop trust pretty quickly tho ;0
âŠonce you do end up gaining her trust, though, itâs strong with just a liiitle bit of doubt. As soon as you break it tho, her trust in you AND others plummet down the fucking toilet so lol
EDIT: ok so iâll be honest now that itâs endgame, the reason she seems more willing to believe lies in others than she probs should is that she believes in predictability and also me myself, the mun, am Fucking Dumbass and fall for the lies myself, so if i canât see past them even if Ai in-characterly Can, then im sorry my dudes im Fucking Dumb :âO
How quick is your character to suspect someone else? Does this change if they are close with that person?
Pretty quick, but she wonât necessarily voice it until she has a good opportunity. If theyâre close to her, and she trusts them, she wonât suspect them unless shit seriously starts pointing to them, then it starts getting đđđ
How does your character behave around children?
[ai voice] i think the fuck not, goodbye
She doesnâtâŠhandle children well.
How does your character normally deal with confrontation?
hahaâŠâŠâŠâŠâŠ..she doesnât (usually)
She literally watches drama from afar, you think she wanna get involved in shit?
âŠwhen she does deal with it, she replies as bluntly and honestly as possible so she can get it over with. confrontation? no thanks lol
âŠmaybe sheâll add some sass when she finds a good opportunity if she wants to make the confronter feel like a dumbass or smth, or if it starts to piss her off.
How quick or slow is your character to resort to physical violence in a confrontation?
AiâŠknows that violence in a losing battle for her. Sheâs weak. (âŠ.listen ryouji was already down in that one trial, ok) If a punch is thrown, sheâll either dodge and run, or take it and scuttle, tbh.
What did your character dream of being or doing as a child? Did that dream come true?
She didnât really have those types of dreams as a kid, really?? But maybe her drawings as she grew up started to make her think of being an artist. AndâŠwell, it DID come true, right? âŠwith, yâknow, the cost of tons of potential friendships. And other shit. ha
What does your character find repulsive or disgusting?
Well, ONE thing is wasted opportunity, which is why, as you saw, Ai was PISSED at Ryouji when he was the chapter 6 culprit.
âŠokay, thatâs very exaggerated for being listed and something ârepulsiveâ to her, butâŠdisgusting? ye.
Describe a scenario in which your character feels most comfortable.
Same spiel as the calm one, if you scroll up: in her room back at Kameoka, no one bothering her, the sound of rain and muffled thunder rumbles outside as she scrolls through the internet, snacks at her side while feeling cozy af in warm clothing/probably a blanket over her.
Describe a scenario in which your character feels most uncomfortable.
I can list a few, actually! A certain text conversation between Andrew and Ai during Chapter 6, CHPT4 MONOTHEATER IN TORA AND CHPT5 MONOTHEATER? IN TELOS I BELIEVE? Because there was a very down, depressed vibe goinâ onâmostly the reaction of the deaths and all that, and the feeling thatâŠeveryoneâs in despair. And tense. Itâs infectious, unfortunately.
âŠand also, er, tora chpt2 trial. You Know,
EDIT: Codyâs erasure lol
In the face of criticism, is your character defensive, self-deprecating, or willing to improve?
SELF-DEPRECATION, BABY ;0
Nowadays, thanks to the magic of Character Development, sheâs starting to see that she can improve. So she does the third one more, now.
Is your character more likely to keep trying a solution/method that didnât work the first time, or immediately move on to a different solution/method?
Sheâs definitely the type to keep trying a certain method a few times before moving on in frustration.
How does your character behave around people they like?
Laidback, and more open, with banter all around! If youâre someone she likes who hasâŠmade an impact on her (like Holly acting like a big sis for her, thanks holly ily) then sheâll still make jokes but not be as biting! Sheâll try to be more lightheartedly jokey rather than have each joke be a diss.
How does your character behave around people they dislike?
Prepare for disses, eye rolls and snappy attitudesâŠor, er, just straight up disrespect and igonring.
Is your character more concerned with defending their honor, or protecting their status?
Protecting their status, most likely. SheâŠhas no honor, really.
Is your character more likely to remove a problem/threat, or remove themselves from a problem/threat?
*ahem*
abscond
Has your character ever been bitten by an animal? How were they affected (or unaffected)?
Nope! Never been bitten, and she certainly doesnât plan to!
How does your character treat people in service jobs?
General respect and decency whenever she DOES go out for, say, groceries at 7/11 or something. Sheâd generally like to leave asap when she goes out though, so she does sometimes ask to, like, quicken the pace. What did the service job people ever do to her, anyhow, besides like, possibly make her wait? No disses here, thank god
Does your character feel that they deserve to have what they want, whether it be material or abstract, or do they feel they must earn it first?
Ai feels she doesnâtâŠdeserve a lot of things she has, and definitely thinks that a lot of kids in Telos donât deserve the shit they get thrown at them either (but, yes, there are some who she thinks do get whatâs coming for them, but not many), so itâd be the latter, I suppose.
Has your character ever had a parental figure who was not related to them?
Nope. Easy answer.
Has your character ever had a dependent figure who was not related to them?
âŠnot dependent, butâŠthereâs one person who does a pretty good job trying to be one for her. (Spoiler alert itâs Holly, god bless this water polo player I love her so much get better soon athena ur great ily)
How easy or difficult is it for your character to say âI love you?â Can they say it without meaning it?
Pretty goddamn difficult. She thinks of it as a bit of a hard thing to say herself, but agrees itâs something thrown around way too much nowadaysâwhich is, in part, why itâs hard for her to say. (Also sheâs never really gotten it from anyone except her parents ha) Ai doesnât and wouldnât say it in general (unless itâs joking with friends but even THEN its rare bc Got Damn canât have too much hypocricy) since itâs a bit overused in society and seems like a throwaway term w/o meaning. When she DOES wanna say it MEANINGFULLY, sheâd really want to MEAN it, which is hard withâŠthe kind of mindset she has on the word.
What does your character believe will happen to them after they die? Does this belief scare them?
She doesnât know!
Which is exactly what scares her.
Not like she thinks about it often, though! (erâŠwellâŠmaybe she does now.)
Nor does she want to. :)
EDIT: this still goes unchanged but it goes to show, uh...what she mightâve thought when she was âdyingâ at the time.
