Blue! Tomorrow I’ll choose to be a different color but for today I’m just a bit blue. ⭐️We've come full circle. I had started this page in 2017 with ink doodles for inktober and hence the name. 😬 and then somehow picked up watercolors for the #the100dayproject which I did manage to finish but not in 100 days 🤭🤪. But guess what, I have been making custom illustrations/doodles for friends/family/acquaintances. Hi guys, painted this one differently. Made a small sketch first to understand the tonal values from the picture I was referring to and then painted on bigger paper. One of the things I have struggled the most is painting from photographs with watercolors. I have realised that the more I tried to replicate what's in the picture the less satisfied I was with the final outcome and the entire joy of freely painting was getting lost. One trick that has worked well for me so far is squinting the eye when I look at a picture. This allows to simplify the overall picture and and makes you focus less on too many details.😊. .
