Hugely inspired by this post (thank you @amellderiva for making it and @w0lfh00d for sharing it with me ^^ 🫂)

In case you didn’t see “The Expanse” TV-series villain Marco Inaros (played by Keon Mohajeri) looks more Illario than “Illario” (I mean Leonardo Santaiti)) XD

You might have seen posts about fancasting Inaros for Illario’s father/other siblings (from @paxvoik2 and @corinnesin for example)) and such but that is not my point here.

My point is I’ve been always drawing Illario with straight hairs. Because in the game they look like ones, and Lucanis has straight hairs (and they are cousins) and dark hairs usually have more collagen in them so that makes them more thick and strong - less curvy hence…

But what if Illario has curls actually?! And that is why he makes his bun so tight?))) Oh, my Rook would be fascinated 😆 (I won’t change his design in my story, of course, and I don’t take this idea seriously… but wouldn’t that be hillarious?! 😆)

Probably the most out-of-place post I'll ever make, but I'm currently watching The Expanse (it's sooooo good, omg), and one of the characters suddenly starts wearing a man bun, and ever since then, my brain has been physically incapable of not going, "OMG, ILLARIO DELLAMORTE????" every time he's on screen.

Something about the bastardization of the story time and time again proves that nobody in power really cares about the people who would resonate with King’s Carrie White. A girl so ugly and repulsive she’s been removed from her own story. The societal need for women and girls to be constantly perceived as attractive is what fuels a fair amount of her torment in the book, but that person isn’t even allowed to exist on the screen. We cannot empathize with her; it isn’t allowed. It’s fascinating to me.
