“Seems like a good deal to make.” Theresa held her hand out. “You have the word of an Irishman. Not sure it’s worth much.”

Daisy grimaced, not really wanting to know what that would even do to her given her heightened hearing for sounds at that frequency. As Theresa started to describe her abilities, Daisy’s eyebrows raised as she started to wonder something. “I wonder how our abilities would work together. If we could get over the whole loud noise thing.”
Theresa had worked with her father, but she had never considered pairing up with someone like Daisy. “Sounds like it would be a real interestin’ time, that’s for sure.” The redhead nodded. “Best ‘ta try it in an empty field.”

“I hope so,” Cindy frowned, not liking the sound of all of that. She nodded as Theresa sympathized with Pleasant Hill and groaned. “They messed up reality up pretty badly at this point. I’ve heard there’s already mutants that have been messed with too.”
“Lorna’s a good friend. I know she was sufferin’ from it. There have been some others but I’ve been doin’ okay. They say it’ll be over soon.”

Felicia just shrugged her shoulders, half expecting Theresa not to follow through with it as she crossed her arms. But then she was saying to cover her ears and Felicia quickly held her hands up to the side of her head and grimaced as the scream ripped through the hallway they were standing in and completely demolished the glass. Ears ringing, Felicia winced as she made a face and spoke loudly. “Holy shit.”
A little glass had gotten in her hair, and Theresa carefully removed it from the red locks. “That was me bein’ controlled, just so ya know. I didn’t want ‘ta blow out ya eardrums over some potato crisps.”

“For sure. Sorry that people keep giving you a rough time. I’m sure it’s beyond irritating.”
“--’m a second generation mutant. I grew up around this mess. I should be used ‘ta it. We can chalk it up to tryin’ times.”

“intolerant or stupid people, mostly. that or when we lose the futbol cup.”

“Trust me, that’s the last thing I want. Like I said, you’d probably shatter my eardrums or something. No thanks.”
“take out the probably. i would if i wasn’t careful.” thank god she was. theresa had been at this for too long to make a mistake like that. “i don’ want you shatterin’ my bones either.”

“I come in peace,” Heather held her hands up as she chuckled softly and shook her head. “I just wanted to ask if you noticed anything unusual with any mutants. My wife and I are here to help with the aftermath of Pleasant Hill and a lot of people haven’t been themselves.”
“peace is a good t’ing to come in.” theresa reasoned. “’m not the right person ‘ta ask. i wasn’t around much durin’ the whole pleasant hill mess. try marvel girl or the professor.”

“What happens when you scream?”
“screamin’ is my mutation. a lotta things happen and most a them aren’t pleasant.”

“it’s 'ta stupid comments. they get ‘ta ya after a while.”

“Huh. Yeah, you guys would probably make me pass out or something if you both did it at once.” Daisy joked, chuckling softly as she tilted her head at the girl. “So what all can you do with your powers?”
“at 140 decibels i think we can do more than you pass out.” the redhead quipped. “more than i should get into standin’ here. i can thank my pa for all of these vocal abilities.” her hand briefly passed over her throat before she listed the abilities. “and the fecker morrigan for the rest.”

“Well now you have me curious.”
theresa gave the woman a second glance, one brow raising slightly. “ya want me to scream at the machine? truly?” she rolled her shoulders back. “plug your ears, beour.” when her mouth opened the controlled sonic scream ripped through the air before the glass shattered. theresa cleared her throat. “and there’s that.”

“It is okay. My appearance has scared quite a few people before.” Mantis reached up and touched one of the antennae. “They do. I think they have something to do with my abilities.”
“i’m the daughter of a mutant. i grew up seein’ things that were different.” theresa reassured her. “and what may those be?”
