Incoming Sharon Carter Rant

I dislike MCU Sharon Carter because the writers did her so dirty compared to the comics. She’s literally one of my favorite comic characters, and her character has so much depth in the comics. Plus, her and Steve are such a power couple in the comics (stevesharon will always be my favorite ship), but the MCU for some reason decided to focus so much on Peggy? Why were there barely any interactions between Sharon and Steve or Sharon and Fury? I will always think Sharon should’ve been what Natasha was in CATWS, and that the Cap trio should’ve been Sam, Steve, and Sharon.

Also, the MCU didn’t know what to do with Sharon’s character, because wdym she wasn’t mentioned at all after her post-credits scene in TFATWS? She should’ve been in CABNW instead of that random Widow (I have so much to say on how the MCU messed up the Red Room and Black Widow lore, but that’s for later). However, if we forget about the comics when talking about the character (because the MCU loves to do that), I don’t dislike MCU Sharon. I feel that a lot of the hate she gets from MCU fans is unjustified because why are people hating Sharon more than ZEMO and other villains???

Additionally, the Blip would’ve been the PERFECT time for Steve and Sharon to interact and possibly become a couple, but NO the writers had to forget about her. Sharon literally stuck her neck out for Steve in CATWS and CACW, but of course, ooc writing for Steve makes him forget about her being a fugitive after the events of Civil War. Because knowing Steve’s character and Sharon’s importance to him (since she’s a Carter and the MCU repeatedly establishes that Peggy is important to Steve), he should’ve tried to reach out to her during the Blip.

Also, people saying Sharon was trying to get with Bucky??? Where tf did they even come from? She barely interacted with him. The first time they met was in CACW when Bucky was the WS and tried to kill her. And the other times they interacted was in TFATWS. In the Madripoor episode, she wasn’t even flirting with him?? Her ‘Cap’s best friend’ and other comments to Bucky seemed like small digs at him. But I can’t blame her, because I would be a little peeved if helped the person who tried to kill me during our first interaction.

Compared to the comics, MCU Sharon is such a downgrade (this is NOT Emily VanCamp’s fault, it’s the fault of writers not knowing what to do with her character).

Anyways, Sharon Carter slander will not be allowed.
