The Mystery Theme Revealed

Are they still reading? I tried to warn them. Okay, my mystery theme from yesterday was this. I answered 52 questions. The first 26 started with A through Z in alphabetically order. Questions 27-52 then did it again.

Please let me know what you thought of having a mystery theme that you had to figure out without me telling you it was happening.

This really just shows you how many questions Mark gets. He was able to go through twice without any of his answers sounding forced. Even for X he was able to answer questions about Xenagos and Xenograph. Good work, Mr. Rosewater.

Blogatog's Choice

I’m curious. If you could choose one, which would you choose:

A) We do Return to Kamigawa

Or

B) I use R&D’s time machine to remove Delver of Secrets from existence

Please explain your reasons.

Probably A, and this is coming from a person not adamant about return to Kamigawa. I really don’t have much of a problem with delver. If it was such a big issue, if would be banned. Removing it from existence would just weaken/remove one popular archetype from Modern. At least with RTK, I would be interested to see what you would do with it. I guess I don’t really want either, but A would be interesting while B would be a waste of a perfectly good time machine.

Do you think it's a drawback to the mana system that in multiplayer games with 4-5+ players, the odds are much greater that at least one player will experience mana problems and not get to see their deck do its thing?

In multiplayer games, you also have politics which can help a player behind catch up.

Sometimes in multiplayer, I pretend to be mana screwed by purposefully missing land drops, so no one will attack me, but holding ramp and a winning combo in hand. Then once I am in the final two, I cast my spells and win. Politics!
