I like theater. I like that feeling of approaching the theater and standing in line before a show starts and showing my tickets to the usher and finding my seats and seeing the stage and experiencing that wonderful moment just before a show starts…that second of anticipation before the orchestra sounds the first notes and it all just comes crashing over you like a giant wave of happiness.

Hey guys I listened to The Lightning Thief soundtrack recently and think that the music is really good. Does anyone happen to have a bootleg of the original off broadway cast (preferably with george salazar in it i love him and his voice with all of my heart)? I’d like to say something

Liking the “those musicals” doesn’t make you a bad theatre nerd. If it was Hamilton, Heathers, DEH or BMC that got you into the Broadway community that’s totally okay! If those are your favourite musicals and you haven’t gotten around to listening to others ones that’s okay!

What ISN’T OKAY is thinking those are the only valid/good musicals and refusing to accept the merits of underrated musicals and expanding your horizons

It doesn’t make you cool to hate on overrated musicals, and it doesn’t make you cool to ignore underrated ones

Wicked introduced me to the world of musical theater, Hamilton was the first soundtrack i was invested in, and Dear Evan Hansen made me the theater fan I am today. I totally agree with this post. It’s perfectly fine to love “those musicals”, and if you get around to a wider range of musicals that’s great and if you only like a few shows that’s great too!! Just please be respectful of all musicals and respectful of people who are fans of all musicals and don’t trash their opinions!

BROADWAY FLEA MARKET WAS INSANE GUYS

Omg what a day. First I did the 10am autograph table and got to meet some freakin awesome people and i was especially excited to meet Barrett Wilbert Weed, George Salazar and Will Roland!!! I also bought a paper prop from both Hamilton and Anastasia, found an INDECENT PLAYBILL, and successfully made my way through the entire thing. It was so so cool and if you’re able to i totally recommend going to this yearly event this was my first time and it was so worth it!!

I don’t understand why I have to write 5 page rhetorical analysis essays on stuff thats hardly interesting to me when I could easily write at least a 10 page essay analyzing everything that happens in Dear Evan Hansen and I would prob get a better grade on that anyway
