Finally Came Out Publicly

Wow, that was nerve wracking.  My friends have been very supportive of me, and for that I am grateful.  My mom’s side of the family is iffy about it, but supportive except for my Aunt who welcomed me completely.  My dad’s side has basically disowned me, but I was prepared for it, and I think I have enough support to be okay despite that.  I am so, so happy and excited to get going with this life and express myself openly how I’ve always felt.

Last thing today; if you are trans and you’ve spent this TDOV still closeted and still hiding and seeing all the selfies and the visibility and such - know that you are still valid, you are still you, and its absolutely more than okay to wait. You should never feel pressured by anyone to come-out, and noone will or can take away from you who you really and truly are.
