Please stay home if you can. The best thing we can do right now is to slow the spread of this virus, so that our medical systems arenât overwhelmed. (This is a smart and easy read.)
Flatten the curve!

The early trickle of new coronavirus infections has turned into a steady current. By creating simple simulations, we can see how to slow it
I saw the future. There were so few bees left that they cross-bred beekeepers with them so they could better connect with them.
I was taking a test to identify plants (I won because some dude thought pineapples were berries) and after that I met a beekeeper who worked inside of a giant glass beehive and had little antennas and a dope ass beard.
Everyone was commenting on this post, saying that pineapples ARE berries, and even I was like, huh, thatâs not right, so I looked it up, and
Bananas, tomatoes, watermelons, coffee, cocoa, pomegranates and pumpkins are also berries.
W-what????????â
WHAT DO YOU MEAN POMEGRANATES ARE BERRIES????
You know what isnât a berry? Strawberries. Fuck fruit scientists.
hey is everyone ignoring the part of the dream where bees and beekeepers fucked

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Video Game: Draco gives Harry his wand
âŚWe had this scene. In this scene where [Draco] throws Harry a wand, which is a big deal â a hugely different ending. Itâs not a different ending, itâs a different moment. And we thought, âOh my god, is that too much of a turnaround for Malfoy?â So Malfoy suddenly becomes a good guy â so thatâs what Steve [Kloves, screenwriter] wrote. Actually it felt really uplifting and you went, âOh cool.â But when we put it all together, I think [producers] David Heyman â and David Barron in particular â were concerned about it because they didnât feel it was most effective for the character, where Steve and I were quite keen because we thought, âThatâs a really uplifting moment.â But we cut it out eventually and it worked really well. So thatâs the alternative ending. -  David Yates [x]Â
Hey, I donât acknowledge a lot of things on this blog Ik, but this is truly important and something which not many people will hear about cause my country is fucked up. So, hear me out
Iâm Mexican and I live in in the state where most feminicides (people killing women just because they are women) occur. Mexico City which is couple kilometres from here is the second one and so on. Mexicoâs feminicide rate is worrying to a point you might think authorities are doing something, right? Well, no.
Let me tell you about some atrocious feminicides:
Minerva, she was one of the first victims, if not, the first of this year. She visited some family to celebrate New Year with a guy named Fernando. When they returned to her house late at night, she was stabbed by Fernando, killing her and leaving her on the floor. She was 42
MarĂa del Pilar, she lived in Guanajuato (one of the many states we have) with her boyfriend; they had gone out to buy some groceries. She had received threats from her ex boyfriend. She was buying bread and milk when one guy on a motorcycle came and started shooting at the air. She ran and hid in a store but the guy found her and when she tried to escape, he shot her in the face and ran away.
Isabel Cabanillas de la Torre, she was 26, had a four years old kid, she was an entrepreneur and an artist. She was part of a campaign which focused on defending womenâs rights and the fight against feminicides. Her friends and family shared on social media she was missing and two days later, she was found dead in the center of Ciudad Juarez, in some place known as âEl corredor seguro para mujeresâ. She was shot dead in the chest various times.
Ingrid Escamilla, she was 25 and after fighting with her boyfriend, he decided that the best thing to do was killing her. He stabbed her and skinned her from the head to the knees, he removed several organs and threw them in the toilet and the sewer. The media not having any empathy, published the photos of what had happened, you could literally see Ingridâs skinned body on first page everywhere.
10 women are murdered in Mexico every day. We want to live, we want to laugh, we want to be safe and the people we should trust, the government is doing nothing!
Our president is...I donât have words to describe him. But things he has done? 0. Women had told him the situation Mexico is going through, they had asked for help and he has minimised the problem saying we make a big deal out of whatâs actually happening. Mexico is a big joke to the rest of the world right now because heâs selling the presidential plane...Wait, but heâs not, the planeâs on lottery tickets. Yeah, you could win the fucking plane if you had the luck.
So, we as women decided that no one but us were going to do something. Since yesterday weâve been doing stuff.
On March 7, women across the country did a human chain, protesting against what has happened.
Today, weâre gonna march for kilometres protesting about all the women we lost along the way. The one that have disappeared, the ones we didnât know anything of. For the ones weâre still waiting to come home. For the ones we know are dead but not gone nor forgotten. But guess what? There has been threats, people wanting to hurt women with acid and some awful things.
And on March 9, weâre disappearing. Weâre not going out, weâre staying home pretending weâre gone. This movement is called âUn dĂa sin mujeresâ (A day without women). So people can see the impact it would have if all of us just disappear.
We have manifested before, maybe you saw the pictures of monuments which were âvandalisedâ.
But all of that happened after women went to the police and only received harassment. All of that happened when our voices were not heard. And peace stopped being the right way to manifest.
Cause maybe you have seen Mexico after protests, because those are the only pictures anyone has. But, have you seen the ones where there is no âviolenceâ against monuments?
The first photo was taken in Mexico City, the fountain known as âDiana Cazadoraâ (Huntress Diana) surprised everyone with red waters.
The second one is known as Minerva. A fountain in Jalisco where of course, many women are killed and disappeared everyday.
They water turned red for all the blood which has been shed. And few hours later, they were âfixedâ
Or, let me show you an altar made also in Mexico City.
I was there and not even one reporter took photos. It was an altar for some of the women. And the second one? It is one of the most emblematic monuments in the city. âĂngel de la independenciaâ (Independence Angel). The altar was there and why is it like that? Since one of the protest itâs been like that under âreparationsâ truth be told, itâs the governmentâs way to tell us that we canât do anything to monuments for they are covered and protected.
Yup, our government protects monuments way more than the citizens.
Please, take a moment to read this.
One of New York Centralâs âMercuryâ engines in Chicago, 1936.
Where did these go, because I desperately want them back.
You do NOT want them back.
They look neat but thereâs a reason these beasts were retired. The Mercury Streamliners, as they was known, got off to a good start. They improved the quality of travel and attracted many tourists to the rail service, which in the 1930s was already growing less popular as a result of the flourishing air travel industry.
But it was not to last. In 1938, a Mercury Engine plowed into a cow named Bessie in upstate New York and, lacking a cow catcher, the collision tore off part of the sleek streamlined veneer that covered the engine underneath. This is what a Mercury Streamliner Engine looks like under its slick armor:
Clearly visible are the three toothy skulls with phallic lobed craniums and bladed jaws. The public was horrified.
To explain, the Mercury Engine was designed by Hans Richard Giger, father of future âAlienâ creature designer Hans Rudolf Giger. Like his son, Hans Richard was known in the art world for his dark and disturbing designs. Having won the design contest for the Mercury Engine based on its exterior, the manufacturers were willing to ignore the unseen undercarriageâs necessary skeletal and demonic fashions.
Once seen however, the jig was up. The public demanded the engines be taken offline, and it didnât happen a day too soon. It seems the Swiss architect had designed his trains with much the same mentality with which Ivo Shandor designed 55 Central Park West- As a doomsday device.
Had the Engines been online only ten days longer, theyâd have seen The Day of The Awakening of the Unholy Star, a Neokhlystic holiday on which the world was mourned in preparation for the end of all time. As designed, Gigerâs trains wouldâve come to live, devouring and digesting their patrons in a blood sacrifice to the Satanic Lord of Carnage, Beelciftan. Had the sacrifice been accepted, the apocalypse wouldâve swept from New York across the globe. So said the legend.
Hereâs the thing- Legend or not if the Mercury trains had remained online a week after they were revealed as demonic devices, their owner, Bill Gruss von Krampus wouldâve had the funds he intended to send to the Nazi Regime in Germany in 1938, which wouldâve allowed them to start their nuclear program two years earlier. This wouldâve given them the Bomb in 1943, two years before the United States completed its Manhattan Project.
So the demonic plot may well have come true in reality had the unsettling underskeletons of these beasts been revealed. There is now a monument to the Cow of Albany that died to reveal the truth.
Thank you Bessie, for without you the world would be a different place, if it still existed at all.

This was made by the great man himself
I know people have probably already said this, but I love that she also included a black man being smushed and uncomfortable as the white man takes up all the space on the subway. Women and minorities are constantly just expected to make space to accommodate rich white men. Itâs a misconception that sexism, and toxic male privilege benefit all men in the same way, in reality itâs white cis het men who benefit most from the status quo not changing. Like women, men of color are often not welcomed or supported in spaces dominated by mostly white men. And I just feel like many well intended feminist statements miss that.
jfbdudjffj I canât believe people donât understand this video. it isnât that sheâs necessarily vilifying the BEHAVIOR as much as the PERCEPTION of the behavior. men can walk down the hallway and get praised for breathing. women canât. men can take up as much physical space as they want to in the world. women canât. men can do the bare minimum to contribute to their family and be seen as life-changing. women canât. men can fuck whoever they want and sneak out with no recourse. women canât. men can deliver a mediocre performance and lose and throw a tantrum about the results. women canât. that is what this video is trying to show.
needs no caption.
