I finished "Laika Aged Through Blood" today and holy moly, that game hits hard.

From the beautiful graphics, to the fantastic story, to the enchanting soundtrack, to the challenging yet rewarding controls, to the endearing characters

I can not recommend the game enough

It tackles heavy themes beautifully and respectfully. The gameplay is challenging to get the hang of, but oh so rewarding when you do. The art style between the gameplay and the small cutscenes is stunning and fluid. The ending is impactful and genuinely made me tear up. I haven't played a game in a long time that actually impacted me in the way that this one did.

It has such obvious care and thought put into every little detail, and it makes it so much more rewarding to play.

If you like metroidvanias, and can handle heavy topics like war and suicide, then I highly recommend buying the game
