my personal headcanon is that loooong, long down the line, patia & ludinus's families share cultural/maybe blood ties, whenever elves began. both have similar linguistic last names we dont see in any other elves (por'co, da'leth) and both have incredibly similar hair & skin tones. it's hard not to think of one when the other is evoked at times.

The concept of Astrid and Eadwulf calling Essek slurs and lowkey hazing his ass in the lab only for him to get pseudo married to their ex third (that of course they’re still in love with) and live in a little cottage with him and adopt a few cats WHILE said third is actively their coworker at the very school they trauma bonded and fell in love in decades ago. AND THEN he shows up at Astrid’s side gig book store job and embarrasses the shit out of her with his interns, specifically being like “my partner, your ex, says hi. :).” Insane play by Essek Thelyss, king of being petty and never letting go of anything ever.

love watching c2 and whenever the nein don't know something, there's always a pattern that follows. first, they turn to the nerds (caleb and beau) and ask if they know it. then the nerds look at each other and wrack their heads to see if they do. if on the odd the chance they don't, the nerds make a trip to the nearest library and plan to barricade themselves in until they fill that gap in their knowledge. then they turn to the clerics (jester and cad) who then ask their gods. one talks to the wind and the other talks to a weasel. the guy talking to the wind is more successful at times. then they spend five more hours planning until fjord just decides to slam the red button. cinema.

there's something very interesting about john putting alecto into a body explicitly inspired by a white, blonde barbie and she thinks it's hideous. and then in the process of waking up she gets zonked into harrow's darker skinned, three-apples-tall, stick-thin body and experiences more love and care in six months than she ever received as alecto and thinks that she's gorgeous.

Alecto wraping herself in a blanket when upset because she remembers Cam doing the same to Nona.

Alecto emerging from the darkness of the ninth's catacombs, terrifying and otherwordly, only to offer her hand and say "do you want my lunch?"

The death of god scrathing the chin of her favorite dog, a dog who might not recognise her yet but Alecto loves it too much to care.

Alecto carrying and cradling Harrow's body because Alecto remembers being Nona, Alecto remembers love, she is full of it. She knows how kindess feels and she finally has a Body to share it.

Having Nona's crush on Pash who was previously annoyed and now is terrified by the Body's affection.

The Barbie of death reconciling with her old friend, uncaring for how many bullets Hot Sauce will sink into her flesh because Nona learned that she is scared, Alecto patiently waits for her turn to make ammends.

Honestly, the funniest possible perspective on all this love triangle business is Wake. You go to these dire lengths to make a key to the locked tomb in order to release a monster to kill the emperor (in order to protect kids like your niece) and get kicked out of an airlock by one of his saints (also a paramour of yours, sharing a body with another paramour of yours). In the end the key only goes through with it because she's in love with the lock, and your surviving paramour is dating a random 20-year-old/one-week-old, and the monster has a huge crush on your fucking niece.

It will be David Attenborough narrating Alecto eating sand and throwing John against walls repeatedly like a tennis ball. It will not be a casual narration either: he has picked sides as John is repeatedly referred to as the "pest" and both Harrow and Pash get referred to as "potential mates"
