"You wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised me"
The asylum they raised me in:
if there’s one thing i got from this book, it’d be emotional damage lol but in all seriousness this has to be one of the most noteworthy choices books for me. i’m an enthusiast for tragic romances like this and ever since it’s still a VIP book, i’ve looked forward to playing it (luckily it got on their free lineup otherwise my broke ass would’ve never been able to play this) I was and am still utterly devastated over this book. The writing was beautiful and reading through the story, it just all felt... raw and humane. there were even times when i’d forget this was from choices because of how exemplary it is. the story, the characters and the dynamics are everything i could ever ask for. it’s been hours since i finished reading it and yet my heart still feels heavy. i don’t think i’ll ever recover from this book.
and of course, dakota makes a sweet and kind-hearted love interest. i’d miss him (in my case) so much and he’ll forever be the dearest one in my heart. wherever he is, i hope he’s happy and healthy :’(
Re-edited the cover to include my Liam and MC and fixed the rest of the gang’s faces.
Art.
The definition of a forced male LI: a male character everyone assumes your MC likes or that you are in a relationship with them even if you repeatedly say you do not like him (happened with Chris in The Freshman book 1)
NOT the definition of a forced male LI: a male character very important to the story (Adrian, Logan); a male character who has a crush on the MC (Adam, Aubrey); a broody, sarcastic male character (Jake, Beckett); a normal male LI (Elliot, Parker).
You keep using that phrase to describe every male LI that interacts with you to the point that it has lost all meaning. The next time a book makes you marry a male love interest you don’t even like you will be allowed to say it.
NOTE: Liam is NOT and was never a forced male LI because the MC is attracted to him (at least at the beginning), so don’t say that he is one.
Based on @ardentlovelace‘s post on the matter
To be fair, don't both Aubrey and Jaime have crush on MC? Aubrey isn't as forced as a certain white male doctor, but he's definitely favored by PB. I played through Wishful Thinking only by choosing free romance options without buying any diamond scenes to spend with the LIs, and it's Aubrey who came to MC in the end even though I liked Jaime more. So yeah, Aubrey definitely got more free +Romance options than the other two LIs (also I think I kinda counted the options too lol).

anyone else feel like pb is actually, actually on its last legs?? by its own doing? like they seem to be be actively slowing things down, putting next to no effort into stories anymore, ruining and shutting down current (once good) series, cancelling sequels, putting out zero new content, giving barely any updates or new info regarding future books…. not to mention, as a result, a good portion of the fandom has been over it for a while…. the tags are dead and so is our enthusiasm…..
like i honestly wouldn’t be surprised if on the five year anniversary this year they just went, “well, it’s been a good run, but we have made the choice (heh) to close down our operations, but the app will remain up for another six months for replay/money-making purposes” like idk?? i’ve just gotten this vibe lately :/
GUYS WHO DO YOU THINK ARE THE MOST FORCED LIs IN CHOICES UNIVERSE AND WHY?
Okay, we all know that some (if not most LOL) books on Choices just don’t give decent amount of screen time for some LIs. But I’m doing a tiny bit of research and I need your help - I want to know who you guys think are the LIs that are forced down our throat the most. And I’d love to hear your opinion about that too!
Thanks in advance! Let the discussion begin!
(Also, if you would reblog this so others may see it, I’d truly appreciate it. 💖)
FA x TRM crossover ish?
will your
forbidden romance
be the downfall of your kingdom?
and who will be by your side and who against?
OMG PB should make an AU where FA characters live in the past!!!
okay i have a genuine question. what was the last choices book/series you *actually* enjoyed? i mean, you liked the characters, storyline, and weren’t disappointed by the ending.
if u only liked (1) book from a series i want to know that too. i.e. you liked OH1 but not 2 and 3.
BOLAS for me. That one is BOMB.
Here’s the thing: I think Tatum has a sweeter romance, but Blaine has that forbidden romance angle that I just love
So how the hell and I supposed to pick?
I'm only on chapter 2 but I'm already confused 😳
Experiencing burnout in an area you love doesn’t mean you are no longer passionate about that thing, or are any less good at it. It’s often an indication that there are other parts of your life that need your care. A garden looks most beautiful when every flower is watered, and you deserve to nourish yourself in the same way. You will flourish again.
Okay I've just finished Wishful Thinking and here's what I'm thinking
The book is actually decent and fun! Quite light, but also entertaining and sends an important message about the honesty in journalism. I admit the progress is a bit slow at first, but halfway through it, it gets very interesting!
MC has a good character development. She goes from a behind-the-curtains writer to a full-on detective & brave reporter! It takes a lot of courage to expose the truth especially in a scary political climate.
I initially don't really like the way PB portrays Ellen? It feels forced, like pitting an amazing woman vs another amazing woman. PB sounds like Alec lmaooo. But Ellen is written much better towards the end and I love it.
And now onto LIs. I'm sorry but as much as I love all three of them, Aubrey is the one who's constantly forced down our throat. 😩 I didn't take any diamond scene to romance any of the LIs, but I think Aubrey gets the most chance of having romance points with MC compared to the other two LIs. All I wanted was to kiss Jaime at the end but it's Audrey who came. 😔
OH CAN I ALSO ADD THAT ANNA KOISHI IS SO FREAKING GORGEOUS
and jinx, the sassy princess. i felt rOBBED WHEN I BOUGHT THAT DIAMOND. I WANTED MORE SCENE WITH JINX BUT ALL I GOT WAS JUST OCCASIONAL APPEARANCES.
AND THE EMUS. THEY DON'T GET ENOUGH SCREEN TIME EITHER. Especially since they're the ones who appear on the cover. 😤 #JusticeForEmus
Where are y'all sitting: LI edition

I'm considering to start reading The Heist: Monaco and I'm confused whether I should be a male or female MC???? What are y'all playing as and which one is more fun???
Choices books that deserved so much better
PB it would be great if you would stop pandering to the Facebook Moms and writing trash books, and actually write the epic books we know you're capable of creating 🙄😒
Warning: Long Post
So I'm currently on chapter 13 of Baby Bump, but boy...
Honestly I'm reading BaBu 2 only as a diamond-mine lol. I feel that it's a bit unrealistic how MC gets so much influence and everyone asks her for things when they can just do the things themselves. And MC has just lived in Gracetown less than a year! The story revolves so much around MC, as if MC is a goddess who could (or even should) solve every political and personal problem in Gracetown. The spotlight for pregnancy I understand, but the level of social influence she has doesn't really make sense to me. And Dixon is supposed to be THE Mayor!
I also found it weird how everyone is always there for MC, like, won't Dixon and Clint have bigger things to do? Like..... an actual job??? Dixon needs to run the town?? Clint has a business??? And then there's Gavin & Joel, and Joel has his own family, yet they both decided to show up in MC's birthing class?? And there's Jebediah too, who's unnecessarily rude to MC but then thanks her for turning him into a soft grandpa. Idk I feel like Jebediah could've been written better than just as character who needs to be sacrificed only to make MC look like an extremely kind-hearted person. All characters could've been written better tbh.
And lastly I'm not much of a big fan of MC herself. She kinda feels Mary-Sue? I can't really find anything she lacks of that could possibly make her character more believable, except all the (unnecessary) drama she has to go through.
Sorry for the long post lmao, but that's how I feel about BaBu. I'm excited about the chapter where we finally get to meet the twins, though. And I'd love to hear your perspective of this book too!
