"You can call me Echo..." You trail off, not knowing what to say. "Welcome." Gaz says, eyeing you. Not in a rude way, but you're a new unknown variable, plus big cat hybrids get less common as the days go by. And there definitely was an awkward tension in the air.
"If you'll excuse me, I'm going to clean myself off." The four men watch as you exit the room, closing the door behind you. Even though it was early, it could still be considered busy.
If you remember correctly, the communal showers are four lefts from you. While walking there, you see mixes of humans and hybrids, some predator and some prey. With the humans though, they visibly move out of your way, if only a little. You're not important at all, but perhaps they see you as a threat, not wanting to get in your crosshair.
As you turn to corridor, you realize that this is most definitely not the shower rooms. Your met with two glass doors and what seems to be a cafeteria.
Ah shit, you mixed it up.
You can't go back your room to check the folder; it'd be embarrassing to go back in to only go back out. You sigh, and mutter to yourself.
Somebody exits to cafeteria, and you move to the side, not wanting to block them. The showers would most likely be somewhat near the gym, but you don't exactly have a map on you.
And unfortunately, today was PT Day and it starts right at 0600. It would not look great if you were late.
0553
This is a mix of human and hybrids for PT, led my somebody who's name you already forgot. You stand a couple people behind the 141, but you only count three of the task members there.
Somebody bumps your shoulder, and you whirl around to see Soap nudging you. It's almost like he's trying to figure you out. You back away, just a bit. "Sorry, didn't mean to make ye feel uncomfortable." He leans forwards and looks at you again.
You shift your weight to another leg. "Soo, you've been on another team, right?" He inquires. "Yes, an all human one." You answer. He frowns, maybe you said that a little more aggressive than you've liked.
You sigh. "It was an... interesting experience, to say the least." You make eye contact with him, and thankfully he decides to not push further. A firm black gloved hand squeezed his shoulder though, startling him.
"Stop annoying her." He mutters, and Soap rubs the back of his hand, face a little red from embarrassment. "Jeez LT, as scary as ever." His attention turns back to you.
"Anyways join us for PT, you're a part of the team after all." Soap cracks a smile, and he walks off, spooking Gaz from behind.
It's clear to you that Ghost is the vampire, as everybody else has distinct hybrid features, but if Ghost had any fangs, you can't see them under his balaclava that's painted with a skull. Interesting choice...
He doesn't bother to look at you, not ignoring you but not needing to say anything further, then walks back to the rest of them. You see somebody walk over, not in fitness gear with a whistle around his neck, no doubt leading PT.
After seconds of hesitation, you decide to take up on Soaps offer, and join the 141, but you distance yourself just a bit.
Soap is no doubt trying to determine what's your place in the pack, what dynamic and role you place, if you even fit. He is a werewolf after all.
This is giving you a headache.
"Tweeeeet!" You quickly stand to attention, along with the other soldiers around you. The NCOS, Non-commissioned Officer who always leads PT, takes a good look around.
"Alrighty ladies and beasts, let's get to work!" He yells out, "Extend to the left, march!" With that, you slip out to a wide spacing formation, no doubt to stretch.

You had all the supplies layed out to re-pack your bug out bag. It needed to be repacked for a while now. This was the specific room for the 141 equment and supplies, and you were in your cage in the team room cage, setting everything up.
Your vest and plates were hung up and the tall fence that reach the top. There was a shelf in the back of the wall that had even more supplies, mags, med kits, and more.
Floor was nice and cool as you sat down, checking off a mental list to make sure you have everything before you pack it. You don't feel like having take everything out and put everything back in because you forgot something.
Somebody clears their throat from behind you, and you turn around to see Gaz standing with a stack of folder, wings tucked in tight. "Cap' asked me to hand these to you." You quickly stand up, being careful so your long tail doesn't knock over items standing.
"Ah, I see. Thank you." You grab it and open it and flip through only a couple pages. "This has important past information that is useful to know now, and in the future."
"Thank you, I'll definitely look over it and memorize it." He turns away, but right before the leaves he his head turns over his shoulder to look at you. He opens his mouth, then closes it, deciding not to say whatever he was going to.
You turn back around and close the folder, it feels thick, and a headache to remember everything. You put in on a shelf that sits beside the cage door and go back to packing everything in your bug out bag.
You try it on the make sure you packed it well weight wise, which isn't too bad, so you call it a done deal and hang it on the left cage wall. You take a cold scrunchy fabric from the freezer also next to the door.
It's a fabric that actually traps freezing temps but is still flexible. It's made with the same fabric that your clothing is made out of. You wrap it around your neck, and in a couple minutes you know you'll start to feel cooler.
You sigh, and take a quick jug of water, nice and ice cold. You still have duffel bags of gear to get through and need to do your daily maintenance on your weapons, cleaning them and make sure they work smoothly.
Perhaps you should bring up the topic of them, or leave it alone? But if you brought it up, maybe it would get awkward, or is it already awkward now?
You shake your head. It's only awkward if you make it awkward. The coolness of the towel takes you back to the present, and you quickly make work of setting everything up.
"Echo, come'er." Price says from the other side of the room. You quickly get up, and walk over to where you head his voice, which pinpoints to the table in the middle of the room.
As you walk there, you pass Ghost, Gaz, and Soap cleaning their guns together in one of their cage. You would check but decide to look unbothered.
You reach him, and there is a taped-up in front of him. You stand in front of the table, at attention. "Sir?"
He looks up at you, "No need, you can relax." After hesitating for a moment, you do, arms falling to your side. "You called me?"
He nods.
"Your old team send you something. Nice of em, seems you forgot something." He softly smiles, then pushed the box to you. What could they have sent, you feel like you packed everything?
You silently stalk over to it, unsheathing your claws to tear up the top of the box. You open it slowly, and freeze. "You, okay? What's...there..." His voice slowly starts to fade out, as you pick up a muzzle and collar from the box.
Burning pain ripples along your cheekbones. Every time you move it chafes across your skin, and it burns. A sharp, painful stinging pops around your throat.
Something strikes the back of your head, and you cry out in pain, doubling over. You go to reach your face, but touch something metal and wiry around your mouth. The movement causes throbbing inside your head, which hurts with every movement.
It's pressed so tightly against your face your mouth hurts, and you can barely open it to scream, so you bite down instead. Theres more zapping, and you cry out in pain.
Somebody grabs your hair and pulls it so you face up. Your scalp burns and it feel like it's going to be ripped off. "Does it hurt, kitty cat?" It's dark and the face of the man who said that is blurry. But you know who is already.
"Damn hybrid, talking about equal rights to us. You'll never be equal, or apart of this team. You're a damn abombanation, born from the pits of hell."
The face gets closer to you. "Echo. Echo what's wrong?" Your shoulders are shaken. "Echo snap out of it!"
You blink and see somebody with a bucket hat and huge wings in front of you. How does he know your name? You push him of you, and back away, hitting a wall. He winces and there's a tear in his shirt that leaks blood.
Your ears are pinned flat against your hand, your tail low. A tall man in a baklava with a painted skull comes out, fist clenched. "What the fuck did you do!" And two men follow behind him, one with wolf ears and one with bird wings.
You hiss, and can feel the hair on the back of your neck rise. "Calm down Ghost." The man says, Price you realize, and he stops the man from coming further to him.
You knocked something on the floor with the feet, and realize it's the muzzle and the collar, you then look back at him.
Price holds out his hand, "It's okay lad, come back to the present." He says softly, and you realize that's the rest of them are Ghost, Gaz, and Soap.
Your hands are coated with something warm, and you realize it's blood. Your captains blood.
"Cap-I..." "Fuck, what happened?" Soap asks, looking at you. "I-I... don't know. I-"
"Take a deep breath soldier. You alright? You froze and started to hypervenalate when you saw the..."
"The muzzle and collar." You whisper, finishing his sentence. Something flashes in Soaps eyes, almost like understanding. You felt yourself start to calm back down, breath becoming steady.
"That was a way of... displince, wasn't it?" Soap whispers, and you ever so slightly nod. "Oh shit." Gaz says it with disbelif.
"Sorry Captain, I-" "Don't apologize, it's all right. Just take a quick break. Get some fresh air outside. We'll deal with the muzzle and collar." You don't say anything, just back out of the room silently, and run to the roof for fresh air.
More notes: You already know I had to add some trauma in the past; it makes sense either way. AUYY I GOTT TO SECOND ONE OUT also there might be a slow update as Iβm going on vacation for a week

You won't lie to yourself; you'd much rather be in a more...colder environment. It's in the name itself, snow leopard. But alas you can't do anything, it's better to be on an all-hybrid team than an all-human team, hopefully.
Being assigned to the 141 though was a surprise to you, a dragon, falcon, vampire and wolf hybrid is an interesting mix. And now adding onto that a snow leopard hybrid.
You knock onto your new captain's door, Price. Waiting for a few seconds, a gruff "Enter" sound, and you open the door.
Price sits at his desk, whatever files he'd been looking at or papers he's been working on lay scattered all over. His office was very clean, a couch in the corner, windows behind him and two chairs in front of the desk. It was also very obvious he was the dragon, the scaly wings and tail.
You salute him, "Sir." He nods, dismissing you, and you set your duffel bag against the far-left chair, He takes a good look at you, your features, the way you carry yourself and present yourself.
He takes a longer look at your animalistic features, the fluffy rounded ears atop your head, the thick insulted furry tail that sways behind you, almost as long as tall you are. You're grey eyes, much like your feline count parts in the wild, the sharp canines hidden inside your mouth, and the claws that hide beneath your fingertips.
You taste in the air the cigar that he's smoking, and he takes a breath. "We needed a new member, and you were pretty high on the list, Laswell even recommend you."
Ah, Laswell, a CIA handler, intelligence officer and strategist for the 141. A little pride swells your chest, to be recommend by her sounds like a feat alone.
"I also understand that you came from an all-human team, so the dynamic in this team will be different." "Yes sir." You answer. He leans back against his chair.
Price slides a brown folder towards you. "This currently has all the useful information you need. Who to contact what for, what hybrid accommodations and treatments are available. "
"The living space is a space with a kitchen, and rooms spread throughout, one of which that is yours. In there is our daily schedule, which starts at 08:00."
You nod again, taking the folder. "Thank you, sir. I won't forget." He takes another breath of his cigar, blowing it to the side so it's not in your face.
"The boys are out currently; they'll return sometime soon. Meanwhile, although it's late, feel free to walk around the base or stay in the living quarters."
"Thank you, sir, I appreacte it. I'll have to take up the offer to walk around another time." You can feel your muscles ache from the long flight here.
Just then, a phone rings to the right of him. From the looks of it, it looks like a work phone. "Well, your dismissed Sergeant [L/N]"
With that you make your way towards your assigned living quarters.
Captain Price seems like an honest, good man. You've just opened the door, and immediately you feel a rush of cooler air. A rocky wall curved along left side of the room, and when you walked around you saw a floor bed, it being covered by what seems to be almost like a rocky wall.
You crack a small smile. The human team didn't do this for you. Indulge in your natural instinct to be in a den. On the other side, it cleared to a simple desk, and drawers for clothing, along other usal bedroom items.
You place your duffel beside the drawer chest, sit down at the desk, and full out the folder. When you open it, a green paper with handwriting sticks out to you.
It reads,
Welcome to the team! Feel free to indulge yourself in the ingredients in the kitchen, or any snacks. Anything in the fridge that has somebody's name on it is off limits, whether it's leftovers or an ingredient.
-------- From, Soap
"That's nice of him." You mutter and move the note to the side. The rest of the papers have what seems to be the usual schedule, other than if any mission arrives unexpeectly.
The other papers have a lot of things, "rules" about what you can do as a hybrid, like no animal shifting randomly in the halls, simple stuff like that it's almost embarrassing to read it. You all are grown adults anyways.
Though the paper that intrigues you is one with resources. It has stuff like what medics available and or closest to your species to help you.
It also has stuff for when heat/rut cycles happen, what to do, and what to not do. That's the most important thing in your mind, so you put the paper in the front and put the folder way.
Then, you start to unpack your bags. The material is thin and smooth, speciafly made for cool environment hybrids. The material transfers the heat and turns it cool to the touch fabric.
You finish packing up, and are so exhausted after the long day you've had. Normally, you would now go make yourself something to eat, shower, and go to bed. But after today, you were exhausted.
Quickly changing into bed clothing, you make your way into the sheets, nice and cold, your tail curling around you. With that, you dozed off.
...
You naturally awake early, sometime at 5:00. It has to be on the best best sleep you've gotten in a while. Your ear's perk to the sounds coming outside your door, people talking.
The shower rooms are some corridors away, a simple walk. You get up, and quickly change into simple jogging clothes, not wanting to "soil" your casual uniform.
Then you pack a simple mesh shower bag with everything you need and sling it over your shoulder. Better than waiting to shower the whole day.
You get close to your door, hand stopped mid reach to the handle. How will they react to your presence? Will you have to wear a muzzle again, like some rabid dog? You've heard that close hybrid teams have a pack dynamic, and the 141 is defiantly a close team.
Being a solitary hybrid doesn't help. You open the door, and in front is a man in a mohawk, with short facial hair and somewhat thick eyebrows. Grey wolf ears protrude from the top of his head, along with a tail that sways behind him.
He looks caught off guard. His hand is raised like he was going to knock on the door. He rubs the back of his head.
"Aye, didn't expect you up so early. Was hoping to help you get an early start." He looks at you up and down, taking in your features. Your door is off to the of the whole room, away from the kitchen and living space.
He has a very prominent Scottish accent.
You can hear the conversation in the other room has stopped, no doubt because you've exited your room. "You can call me Echo." You say back.
"Well, let me intro'duce yer to the team." He then nods his head in the direction where the rest must be sitting, and you silently follow after him.
You immerge into the next room, captain price, and two other males sit in the conversation pit. The first thing that comes to your mind, is that you're the only female. But that though quickly passes as Soap turns back to you.
"The one with the very obviously wings are Gaz, and the broody one is Ghost." The two men look at you, nodding their heads. The one called Ghost narrow's his eyes at you, taking in your presence. His jaw ticks, and very slightly Captain Price nudges him with his wings, giving him a warning look.
You take a small whiff of the air and have to keep your compurse. You didn't notice any of these scents last night. They all smell like each other. It's deeper what a pack usally smells like, you know this becuase you've been on joint missons with all hybrid teams.
The scent screams at you, and you can already dichper it. They're all close, romantically. All of them together, not two separate couples, all four of them together.
And you just got in between it.

Itβs hard having ocd and doing anything. At first my ocd was if I walking through a door, for example, and it didnβt feel right, I get an itchy feeling and discomfort all my whole body, so need to give back and do it right again. Then it was I canβt walk on cracks becuase then it feels like that tingly feeling, the feeling of discomfort and thatβs something wrong,
Does anybody else have that? And now when something does make me feel that way, I get an uncomfortable tingly-discomfort-ish zap through my body that makes me jerk my head or body and I look like a weirdo .
