they believe the way the gods created humanity permanently tarred the mer with mortality and the mortal realm

I barely even registered the fact that she sold me out. I feel like I must have been so hard to trust even though I was doing all these great things for them, since I was such a new addition to them and because I was the Listener, a position she was not convinced needed to exist. Because the Night Mother latched onto me, her doubts about the Night Mother were conferred upon me. Anyway, I was far too beast to be defeated by the Penitus Oculatus anyway and she probably even knew that. I just proved myself to her again by surviving. None of that had any effect on the sadness I felt seeing her lie in her own Black Sacrament circle, proving how much she cares about her Brotherhood and how she finally gave into the Night Mother's traditions by sacrificing herself to protect them. She was such a badass.

Ulfric failed to convince me he actually gave a shit about the people of Skyrim. He went on about honor and all that rhetoric, and some of his supporters seemed more committed to the cause than he did. I ultimately sided with the Empire because Tullius and Rikke seemed far more concerned about a fair relationship between Skyrim and the Empire than they did about conquering anything. I also think that peace with Skyrim would help them deal with their Thalmor problem, because it’s clear they only signed the White-Gold Concordat because the Thalmor would destroy them if they didn’t. They don’t like the genocidally-racist Altmer any more then Skyrim does.…

oh god fighting with Rikke and the imperial legionnaires was so hard because my usual tactic is pick off as many enemies as i can with my bow and then run in with my enchanted sword and Spellbreaker and hack and bash my way to victory

and i accidentally killed one legionnaire and felt really bad :(
