sometimes I think of the fandom as all of Artemis' relatives and everyone takes turns keeping him on the weekends. That's all.

Something I find very amusing is that Artemis understands the fact that when he's received as some young upstart by older business contacts, those individuals are not perceiving the long game. That is to say: although this isn't the case at the moment, there will be a time in the future when Artemis is at the head of the Fowl Empire. Artemis understands this, and yet he is so dismissive of his peers who are roughly his age -- which again, is not perceiving the long game, as soon his peers will be the ones with whom he is doing business directly!

thus: a 25-year-old Artemis has Myles go in his stead to a business negotiation. The reason? Fowl Industries is attempting to reach out to an Italian luxury goods company heir -- and Artemis mayyyyy have forgotten to text that fellow after a series of forgettable dates back when they'd been classmates at St. Bart's. Oops! Though, in his defense, Opal had been causing significant mischief around the unfortunate (and unintentional, which is almost more embarrassing) ghosting incident.

a while ago i picked up The Fowl Twins. i was SO freaking excited to read it, but once i read that artemis was LITERALLY NOT EVEN ON THE PLANET ANYMORE i just had to put the book down. fast forward nearly 3 years and i haven’t been able to finish it. BRING OUR BOY BACK FROM SPACE EOIN I BEG

i like to imagine that artemis is always hilariously late to trends. like he’d randomly dab out of nowhere trying to impress everyone, showing he’s NOT boring and one of the twins (heavily embarrassed of course) would be like “ARTEMIS NO YOURE 6 YEARS LATE PLS STOP”
