Mr. Collins would be such a fan of ai. He would love it. He would have it write scripts for him to use for complimenting people. He'd ask it what to do in social situations and then when someone would tell him "I think that's a bad idea" he'd be like "my dear madam it's so good of you to be concerned but I think the highly esteemed Grok knows a little more about this than a lady like yourself" and then he'd go humiliate himself publicly.

It was everything I hoped for <3

I like to think that one of the ways Kanej starts to be physically intimate is through cuddling

Think about it; both of them have a lot of trauma around skin to skin contact. Snuggling or cuddles would let them lay together and be close, but there’s no expectation of taking off a lot of clothes. Maybe Kaz would loose his suit jacket or vest, and Inej might lose an over layer, but they could both stay with most of their skin covered; though I imagine Kaz would want to slowly work up to losing his gloves.

I think Inej would be the big spoon, because that way she’s on the outside, and wouldn’t feel trapped in the way she was at the Menagerie, and could move away quickly if she needed to— I think she’d also be closer to a window or door. Kaz would get to be held and remember she was there, I think he’d leave his head over her chest so he could hear her heart, or maybe he’d have a hand on her pulse, something to help him remember she’s alive

Basically: cuddling could be a really good stepping stone, that would allow Kanej to get physically closer time(once they were ready) without it being sexual or having a lot of skin to skin contact

Pinterest Kotlc (and it’s flaws)

pinterest kotlc gives me whiplash every time I go on there because as someone who spends most of my kotlc time on tumblr the worlds are just. so drastically different.

pinterest kotlc has a few main points that make up most of the posts. it includes: sokeefe being some monumental, life-changing, beautiful ship that is just absolutely heart-shattering every time someone thinks about it. even tho it’s literally just. flirty bad boy x oblivious girl who is a little feisty towards him

meanwhile most tumblr posts are pretty normal abt sokeefe or are casual enjoyers of the ship

(such as this post)

another: aggressive fitz hatred. they act like he is so terrible to the point where you would think that he would’ve tried to kill sophie. like. bffr. they act like the mc’s ex-boyfriend (who she is on pretty good terms with now) is just the biggest villain of the whole story. it makes me very mad. it also comes with the hatred of sofitz and i just think that’s uncalled for. sofitz was a good ship and so is sokeefe. just because one didn’t work out does not mean the other is inherently so much awesomer and better than the dogshit one that just didn’t work out in the end.

also, most people on kotlc pinterest just blatantly ignore the canon things that are happening in the story (most recently stellarlune) to hate on fitz!! like, at this point you are hating the pinterest fanon character but take it out on the canon fitz!

but yeah.

kotlc pinterest is basically just discourse on the fitz/keefe thing and most are leaning towards sokeefe.

I could also talk about the millennial humor, the poorly made memes, disregard to potential queer or poc representation, the mischaracterization of things like anger issues or poor communication… yeah.

other than those things, once you get past those layers you find some pretty funny and good posts. like these!

I can't tell you how much I agree with this. I've got to admit that, yes, I ship Sokeefe to a fault and relate to most memes about it, but some things I have never understood are 1. the Fitz hate and 2. the all-encompassing ship focus. Again, I must admit that I am a person who perhaps gets a little too caught up in shipping, but to this extent I just find it out of control. Fitz is a perfectly great character, and his issues actually make him more dimensional than he otherwise would have been, in my opinion. Just because he was a long-standing obstacle for the coveted Sokeefe endgame does not make him worthy of being pushed off of a cliff (and that's not even the most violent example of Fitz hate I've seen). Sure, he isn't my favorite, but he's not all that bad, and that kind of blind hatred is just shallow. Second, I like a little ship-warring. But don't forget that there are also 9 and a half books' worth of plot and other content to enjoy! I feel like much of this behavior is excusable, since KotLC also reaches a younger demographic, and kids will act the way they do. It's still pretty annoying, though.
