I love this description from Milton Glaser's official website: The swan, superimposed on an enigmatic profile suggests some aspect of making music.

Vintage Parfume Bottles: 1900s - 1970s
(You know, there was a time, not so very long ago, when parfume & cologne bottles were absolutely the business. Each little flacon looked as though it had stepped straight off a designer’s sketchbook: sculpted, whimsical, daring… proper objets d’art you’d be thrilled to leave out on your dressing table instead of shoving into a drawer.
These days, far too many of them feel a bit samey, as though they’ve all been run through the same factory mould & given a quick polish for show. It’s all rather tame, really… & a touch dreary for something meant to feel glamorous & personal.
One can’t help wishing the big houses would get their groove back & start dreaming up bottles with real character again… clever shapes, chic colours, playful details, the sort of thing that makes you feel you’re owning a tiny treasure, not merely another spritz in the crowd)
