The dynamics would be different n i guess the siblings wont be as reliant on bruce? It could go so many ways the agnst. I mean what if the youger one starts trusting bruce first n the older feels betrayed. Oof what if the younger one calls bruce dad, n the older one is horrified n betrayed cause they were old enough to still remember their dad. So first decided will be a grp of 3 siblings. 1 older sister about 13? years old, n a pair of twin brothers about 8? years old. The twins are going to be named Castor and Pollux, after the 2 brightest star in gemini. Still not sure about the sister, considering, Vega, Altair, Rigel (foot, but its the brightest star in orion), Antares (like mars), Alcyone (Pleiades sisters), Mira (wonderful, astonishing), Saiph (sword of the gaint), Zaniah. This is tough. I think m leaning towards Vega, it has the meaning of "falling vulture", or Altair meaning "the flying eagle" kinda keeps in the bird names haha. Mira kinda too cos i imagine their parents were so happy when she was born, along that line anyways. Hmmm for now i think i'll call her Altair and see if i like it.
Alright so back story time.
Basically their parents died in a car crash about 2 years before. They kinda move over from japan when the twins were 3 for work. Their parents were loving and all. And were scientist working in wayne engineering. Their hobby was stargazing cos in japan they lived in a ruraler area and thats how they met and bonded. So yea why the kids name are after stars. So while in gotham they were relatively well to do (not rich but comfortable average), but they made ends met u know, there was always food on the table, and it was always bright n happy in their home. But one day when they were traveling home from work they got caught up in one of the rouges crime and crashed, died on impact. Just a case of wrong place wrong time. So cause Altair was only 11 and the twins 6 they were put into the system, also they din hav any family in the states nor really in japan. But like 3 young kids at once is hard to get a foster family for and Altair absolutely refused to be seperated from her brothers so they ended up in the orphanage for a few months. They were finally assigned a foster home but ran away when Altair caught the parents beating her brothers for aa small accident till they were crying really badly. They were found but yea back to the ophanage. So this happened a few times. And Altair also became more rough and rebellous yea losing trust with adults. Anyway a bout a year and a half since their parents death, she overheard the adults talking about splitting them up to make it easier to get fostered, and Altair just bolted that night with her brothers cos no way were they being seperated.
So yep living on the streets was tough but they were together. N they figure out ways of guilting ppl to give them food. Or tricking ppl by making use of the identicalness of the twins. N they figure out a pretty good sleeping arrangement. So the public pool actually had a season pass. N kids below 6 was free. And it was safe, there were many people around, there were showers, there were water coolers, there were lounge chairs to sleep on, n lockers to store their stuff. N if they swipe a couple of clothes, no one would really notice. So they ended up going to the pool everyday to sleep in the aftnn and got food from ppl in the evenings and morning. In the night they kinda jus hide on the rooftops and stay alert, i mean its gotham night is when u hav to watch ur back. Also the rooftops were the closest they could get to the night sky. So yea they had a pretty good system going. Altair jus has to get a little taller, with the right clothes she was pretty sure she could fake being 16 and get a job. So that was their plan. Jus a little longer
Then they met batman somehow idk how yet. Maybe on the roofs, idk. At this point thou i want Altair to be roughen up by the streets and 0 trust of adults, but superbly overprotective of her brothers, they basically nv left each other sides. But she tried to make sure they knew how dangerous it was and how to fend for themselves a little, she needs them to be safe when she finally gets a job. The twins are very mischevious but untrusting of new situations and adults. They nv leave each other sides, cos together they are stronger. N they have a tendency to finish each other sentences. They try to act tough, as tough as any 8yo can be but yea still tend to hide behind Altair if things get weird. They like making Altair laugh, its getting harder to do thou, but they aint giving up. Plus all 3 of em are super smart in different ways. Altair is the leader the planner the one who makes the ideas reality. Castor is the ideas guy, he memorises stuff like its nothing and sees patterns everywhere, he knows what needs to happen to get what he wants. Pollux is the actor, he knows exactly how to tilt his face jus so to get the adults to do what he wants, he sees the intentions of people, the environment, how to manupuliate them to get what he wants. And yea together they are really scary, its how they get food and occasionally money to keep. How they stay safe. Like their parents used to tell them, together they were brighter than any star in the sky.
Yep so havent figured out how they come into contact with batman. Hmmm maybe one of em gets injurd in an attack. N batman force them to go to the hospital? Or he brings them back to the cave?? Idk hmmm. Oooo if Altair is the one injured then can have the twins beimg super defensive n protective n not letting them come near n like but their hands n knees are shaking. Ahhh it be cute n awwww. Bruce jus meeting them would work too thou. Hmm maybe it was a pool day n he kinda notice them sleeping the whole time n leaving by themselves n got curious n came by a few more times same thing. So yea. Hmmm i think finding them as bruce is better. Then they can figure out that he is batman.
But how is he going to convince them to stay cos they dont trust adults n it jus dosent make ense why bruce freaking wayne would foster them. So yea sth to think about. Being injurd and sent to the hospital n then having the social worker come in n bruce sees the opportunity to make a few calls to foster them. That could work too.
Ohoh new idea, in a kind a 5+1 format whereby 5 times the batfam finds them n 1 time they find the batfam. So the 5 times would b each member (i think excluding bruce) finds them on patrol on the rooftop or running, but it becomes their rooftop, n helps them or talk to them. The 1 time they find the batfam is when maybe they got caught by the police for being not in sch on a weekday, or while stealing some food, n pollux got caught but altair fights and sacrafice herself and tells her brothers to run. The brothers run n hides n round back to try to follow them. Altair gets taken to the police stn, its dark alr n the bros r panicking then castor suggest to get the viglintes i mean they did say to call them if we ever need help. So they run off to their rooftops n leave a msg at eachbone asking for help n go back to the police stn. But while they were gone altair got released to a social worker n left but they din noe. So dan dan dan all 5 batfam appear n they r like u noe them!!! Then they scout out n distract but couldnt find altair so now the bros are really panicking. The others r calling orcle to find, n they kinda stopping bruce from knowing cause of some reason i havent think of. But yea half the team goes to diatract bruce n the other is tracking down altair with the twins. Eventually they do find altair n bust her out. N while the batfam is discussing wat to do with em, the sibs kinda jus slip away.
But u can bet they r planning to run the moment they get the chance to. Just why is there so MANY CAMERAS EVERYWHERE OUTSIDE?!?
So i think at this pt m gonna say dick is being a social worker in gotham, civil talking terms with bruce whenever necessary(ie never) hes about 25 hes staying in an apartment but he drops by often for damian. Ooo maybe dick is the one who finds them. Jason nv comes back anymore but he occasionaly helps out at night but not with batman. M going to say hes 22. Tim is in collage, he choose a further one to get away from. Hmmmm u noe wat i dun like this too much sadness if everyone is away and angry with bruce. Damm should i hav a bruce thats alr good dad or a bruce that is trying but failing to be good dad?!???? Ahhhhhh damm. Also i want damain n cass to be in this too. Steph comes over often enough n barbs is oracle n in a wheelchair. Hmmm should i hav damian be 10 or 13? I think tim can be about snr high so 17? Cass can be 2 yrs older so 19? Or maybe i should push down their ages a litle bit?? Idk. Steph will be same age as tim n barbs will be a year older then dick. The only reason m not including any other batkids is cos i dun hav a good enough gasp on their stories or characters even from jus fanon stuff. So yea.
Hmmm so how should bruce be already a gd dad? I need to decide that so the others will naturally fit accordingly. Also jason is not going to die. I dun want him to die. Makes stuff complicated for not enough good feels. I think. Idk see how.
But yea anyways oh so much more to say man this would jus be the beginning of the story. I want them refusing to go to sch, trying to run away, getting freak out when they see the other batkids hav injury and suspect bruce n crap crap we gotta escape before its us. N keeping to themselves, all sleeping in 1 bed. Oh a little agnst i want the twins to not say when they are hungry cos they realised Altair gets sad when they say that, n the adults get irratated. Altair on the other hand eats very little n also nv says when she is hungry, her food goes to her brothers. Also that they are all basically night owls. Making it harder for the bats to sneak out at night for patrol. They nv all 3 sleep at once, one is always on the look out. Also they kinda sneak to the rooftops to see the stars, bruce freaking out cos thats dangerous, nvm what i do everynight!!!!! Sharing stargazing stories. Playing pranks as part of one of their plans to escape, for bruce to return them n having a less supervised place to be able to escape easier from. It doesnt work thou i guess they break down when they get caught or finalky given up, or bruce reasuring them. Idk. I want them to fight with the other batkids too. And stay away from them. Or fake smile at them to get them to lower their guard, n try to stir the pot so they can say its a bad place n get the social worker to remove them. Hmmm i guess i nd bruce to be at least closer to the alr gd dad side. But i think not all the way. So that the others can develop too n this trick can work.
Maybe they do homeschooling for a bit since they refuse to go to sch. N maybe their level is super skewed to a subject but completly hopeless in another. Lesson hav to be in the same room.
Major thing the twins are super identical. Only Altair can tell them apart from any angle or voice. They make full use of it too to do all sorts of stuff for mischief n others. N like a climatic pt would b when bruce is finally able to tell them apart.
When they plot, Altair n Pollux are usually the one up front talking to the target, while Castor stays back and keeps a watch out on the surrounding area. Sometimes altair the one that stays back. When some of their ploy require them to make use of the indeticallness of them n switch place. They call the character Gen, or Gin? Short for Gemini, n a bit more jap.
Another plot pt i want is like maybe one of them starts trusting the batfam more n kinda wants the other 2 to stop trying to run. N like internal conflict u noe. But outside the others cant really tell. But sort of feel the tension. N idk how it would be resolved but yea.
Also attempts to run away while on an outing. And everyone freaking out. N guess where they went? The roofs :) n the batfam didnt tot of that cos its broad daylight!!!
Also maybe at the end of it one of them is missing for real, n the joke is no longer a joke, they r missing for real. N the other 2 siblings panic. Maybe they get kidnapped maybe they jus fell into a ditch or sth idk yet. But either bruce shows he really is dependable or batman kinda showup n they figure it out. Idk yet.
Ooo i kinda wanna see what happens when Altair get her first period. Cos i mean she stopped going to sch properly at around 11 so might hav missed that particular sex ed class. N u know them thinking shes dying, maybe they find one of the batkids they trust the most for help, not bruce yet. Idk i think it takes a lot of trust n they r kinda helpless. Oooo and also when like her breast start growing. Like why is my chest swelling?? Tbh when i was young i always thought boobs only happen when become an adult like big u noe not 12?!??? yea shocker lol.
Hmmm idk if i wanna streach their age gap abit cos i was thinking that the age diff will cos problems in trying to stay together. Maybe 9 n 15. Like in fostering/adopting n like when they run away and tru the shelters. They dont hav a shared room for families. The kids n teens are assigned seperate rooms, n jus nope not letting ourselves be seperated. Also u noe altair might feel a bit of guilt cos without her the twins would hav a higher chance of being adopted, they would get to sleep on a bed with a roof over their heads. But she dosent want to be alone either, she dosent think she is strong or big enough to make that decision and follow thru. If she was older i think it will be harder to gain her trust n she will be even more overprotective of the twins n also more prepared like having run aways back stash around the manor or sth along that lines. Tim n steph coulds become her friends n damian for the twins.

Also they speak jap, especially when is jus them or they dun want others to hear. They get really annoyed and horrified when they realised bruce can understand them. Quickly switching to learn another language like chinese or morse code jus to not be understood by others. Hahah i want them to be dissing one of them/ or warning that they should run in the other language but smiling like everything is fine.
So Altair jap name is アルタイル, Aru-chan for short. Castor is キャスター, Ki-kun for short. Pollux is ポルックス, Ru-kun for short. I'll find kanji with meaning but same sound for them later. Since they were born in japan their jap name should b more authentic even if its inspired by english words. Hmm have to think of a family name for them too. Maybe Hoshizora, 星空, starry sky. Keeping with the star theme hahaha.
The line "you cant call him that, only i get to call him that!!!" or the batfam messing up their nickname when trying to mimic Altair. Also m sad now no one ever is gonna call Altair Aru-chan again T^T her bros would call her Onee-chan n the batfam n anyone else calls he Altair. Oof and "YOU DONT GET TO CALL ME THAT!!! ONLY MY PARENTS CAN AND YOU ARE NOT THEM!!!" (angry, confused, with tears)
Also the idea that its one of the batkids that finds them n bring them in makes me happy, not sure if ita their civilian or vigilante identity that finds them thou. I imagine like maybe damain finds them n kinda cant convince them to come with him to get help cos no adults n so he decides the next best thing is he can bring food n check in on them whenever hea in the area. So he kinda keeps sneaking away or asking to go solo for a bit to get away from batman n check on them. Eventually batman or the others catch on. Lol it will be funny if it was actually the siblings plan n they kinda do it to all the batkids. So they have food at night too lol. Ok is kinda sound like a feeding a stray animal situation lol. Imagine the batkids surprise when they find the new kids bruce brougt back were them n they were getting played the whole time hahaha. Ooo n like the siblings requesting to go to random rooftops. Cos they want to leave a note to let the batkids they were tricking noe they were safe n where they were since the batkids did promise to check on them n they din want them to worry if they couldnt find them for so many days. Of cos they dont know the batkids are rite there next to em. N the batkids are jus like awwwww.
Oh wat if jason has a storage lot that he fills with food water n clothes for kids. Like if he find a kid on the streets he'll let em know to go to this storagr unit pw to get supplies. He tells the sibs too of cos. But they kinda dont trust him. I mean its too good to be true. N what if its a trap. Or kid trafficking ring. But they kinda want to hav it as a backup so they stake out the unit for a week before they finally creep to the door. After they saw mutiple kids when in and out with no problems, after they see red hood bring in boxes of food twice, n their stamoch growl. After they were completely sure it was not a trap. They were still skittish but they took as much as they needed n could carry easily before carefulky locking up.
Ok so jus cos i full of jason feels rn aft reading fanfic, i want red hood to be their fav, the one they trust most, the one that sits n talks with them n really make sure they are ok. N like it makes me all warm n fluffy inside if maybe jason creates rhe situation for them to be fostered by bruce. N cos he still concern about them, he comes back to the manor more n more often to check on them, giving him the chance to talk n slowly work out their problems with the rest of the batfamily.
Also like m thinking the lib is another of their safe handouts, theres place to hide, shelter from the rain, kids are all over, n if they were to scream for help it would be easy enough to get someone attention. So at night they kinda read books they borrowed to pass time n Altair wants to make sure the twins gets as much of an education as they can for when they go back to sch, which is step 3 of her plan aft getting a job n a permernant roof over their heads. So they usually hav thick text books on hand to read and also as a weapon cos those babies are heavy.
Also what if one of them actually needs glasses but nv really realise it before, like they thought it was normal blurriness the world was. I think it should b altair. Cos i dont really want such an easy way to tell the twins apart yet. Unless u noe like the one insist on getting a blank pair too so they would be the same. Thats kinda cute and sad too.
Oh and maybe bruce, dick or jason teaching Altair to drive on some old roads. For absolute emegency only since they keep insist om running away. They make them promise that until she gets her license to only ever ever drive a car for absolute emergencies n only if its the only way. N dont still cars please. Altair agrees but her brothers have to be in the back seat. She dosent trust thrn to not be a ploy to seperate them. Altair serious but shaking, n her voice jus get louder n more panicky in the first few lessons. But the adult resasuures them n keep calm throughout. The twins looking at each other in horror from the backseat aft a praticular rough emergency brake. Or them asking a million qns about how this work how that work can i press that button why not. N the adult jus trying to concentra on so many things at once. Eventually they pull another adult to sit with the twins to answer their qns so they can concentrate on Altair. Oh also jokes on them cos somewhere later in the story they absolutly steal a lorry instead, cos no is not a car, u said car, n yes it was indeed absolutely positively an emergency.
Ok i know exactly how i want this part to play out. So the sibs ran away again n is night alr. So the whole batfam is panicking and all hands on deck running around the city trying to find them. Jus so happen one of the rouges were excuting their plans n the sibs are caught in the middle of it. Jus when they are about to get hit, batman swoops in and takes the hit instead. Or batman beats up all the bad guys. Then he jus looks at em and goes "thank goodness you all are safe" and then jus collapse right there n then. The sibs are jus high key panicking cos like wat do we do what do we do is he ded omg we cant leave him he save us ahhhhhh. And then they spot a lorry with its door hanging open n they jus boom idea. So they drag batman onto the bed of the lorry, somehow (show off their resourcefullness) or maybe bats alr jus collapse there. Then Altair is takig charge, Castor go hotwire the lorry (i know u know how), Pollux ride in the bed search his belt for communicator or phone or sth. Altair does a quick check of the lorry (like bruce taught her) n climbs into the cab. Shes pep talking herself psyching herself to drive it. Shit shit is bigger than i thought. So after a bit of a bumpy start they are off with Castor navigating from memory. Meanwhile Pollux is in the back desperately going tru batman belt (so many pockets n not one fking phone??!!??) batman is kinda dillusional at this pt. When he starts mumbling stuff, Pollux goes to his head n like please please wake up , stay awake, we going to the hospital jus a bit more and for the love of bats where is your phone, can u alert your batkids!!!! Then batman says sth only bruce would say like maybe his name, and pollox jus frezzes, halfway ranting. Batman losses conciousness then and pollux kinda dont dare to move his cowl. Hes still kinda stunt. So this can tie in with the pt where bruce finally manages to tell them apart. At this pt they reach the hospital. N the staff are rushing around to get batman in. "we need to remove his mask" snaps pollox out of his daze and NO! Everyone pause to look at him hes stunt too. Awarkly he tried to explain that like batman needs to keep his identity hes done so much for the city we can afford him that. I wanna show off his people skill kicking in. Altair and Castor are looking at him weird but ok. The medical staff agree and wheel him in Pollux sticking close behind, Altair n Castor follow behind. At this pt finally one or two of the batkids reaches. They followed bruce with his gps aft he was non reponseive. They too are like what are you three doing here, thank god you are safe wheres batman? They kinda dumbly point to where the staff are wheeling batman away. One of the batkids rushes over and take over guarding bruce identity n trying to convince the staff that they can take him back to the cave but they just nope, he needs to be treated now. The other batkid guide the sibs to sit down n calls for Tim to change n Alfred to pick them up. The sibs r jus kinda in a stunt daze rn adredeline wearing off. Lol could have an awark scene of Tim thanking the batkid for taking care of them blah blah blah for concealing their identity sake. The sibs fall asleep on the way back to the manor.
Next day, Pollux is still acting weird n Altair n Castor confront him. Pollux tells them that he thinks batman is bruce. Altair kinda jus swears n be like i had a feeling dammit, all the weird injuries, no one around at night. N Castor is jus stunt but then his brain kinda jus connects the dots, n like shit if Bruce is batman, the wayne kids are the batkids!!?!?? N the other two are like holy shit. N each kinda jus die a little inside thinking about their past interactions. Praising n standing up for the batkids to the wayne kids n badmouthing the wayne kids to the batkids. N they are jus like omg. But they decide not to say anything first till they really confirmed it. Imagine their surprise when they enter the kitchen to find bruce there jus drinking coffee n reading the newspaper like any other morning. The sibs kinda jus inch away n sit at the furtheest corner as usual but keep eyeing bruce up and down. Eventually Altair asked "are u ok?" n bruce is jus like yep? As good as ever??? All confused like cos they dont hes batman. The sibs r kinda squinty eyes at him, like surreeee. Castor n pollux walks over n kinda pretend to ask for a hug while squezzing bruce a bit too tight at different spots n delibratily squirming a bit while Altair watches bruce face like a hawk. Cue bruce internally grunting in pain trying to keep his expression neutral but yet surprise n happy they trust him enough to seek comfort from him. The sibs are kinda surprise but decide to lay low and contunue observing. Eventually they kinda manage to confirm it, n their attitude changea a little. For one they decided since the batkids can be trusted n since the batkids are the wayne kids they can be trusted n since they work with batman, batman should b somewhat ok n therefor bruce too? N also they felt kinda guilty since bruce did take a bad hit while protecting them. So they will stay at least until they are sure bruce was alright. The bats slowly notice the changes but couldnt sreally figure why or when it started happening. N are completley shocked when one of the sibs jus offhand remark something related to their vigillentes life. Lol also need the conversation after where by bruce is like so u drove a truck, altair: yep. Bruce: without a license. Altair: yep. Bruce: despite us explicitly agreeing not to unless its an absolute emergency. Altair: yep. Bruce: ... Altair: to be fair, it was absolutley an emergency, u were dying, we save ur life, wheres the thanks? Bruce: *shaking head like why* for the record i was not dying i jus fainted. Altair: n how were we suppose to know that huh? N dont u dare deny it we got video of how out of it u were. Dont make us share it *threatening* bruce: *stunt sigh, realised they really were scared shitless* ....thank you.

Another milestone is when they finally trust batfam n Altair breaks down, they tell her is ok for her let go now n be a kid, they'll be their adult now. N she jus breaks down n cry cos its been so so tiring n stressfull n worrying n constant state of not knowing what to do n how to protect her brothers n being aleart all the time n being strong for them n n jus cries. While brucr comforts her, the twins kinda stare in horror and start bawling too cos their sister is sad n its all their fault and and if only we were bigger we can help can protect. N damain kinda draws them in and hugs them with bruce n altair. N it becomes a big cry pile n hug pile. Eventually they cry themselves to sleep.
Want a scene that like they walking under the stars or some big attraction or sth then altair jus subconciosuly reach out her hand and pinch bruce shirt so she wont bump into stuff but can admire the attraction. Her bros usually do that to her while they ar ekeepimg watch on the sides. Also the completly fluffy image of them doing it to red hood or black bat, red hood n bruce complete befundlement of wtf is gg on, bb glancing down n almost attacking tense, n then jus smiling. Got the trust of a child a tiny child to lead the way ahighly defensive child subconciously trust them. Could alsp work in a large crowd. Lol maybe this is how the batfam one by one realise the stae kids trust them. Awwww can imagine the twins grabing damien jacket then jus acting dumb, n damien cant shake em off without hurting n is like secreatly proud n being all tsundere. Lol suddenly hav the image of all the bat kids jus doing it in a long train behind bruce. So cute hahhaha
Idk how long i want the story to go but a good stopping point would be when they finally trust bruce n decide to stay n get adopted. N bruce is good dad n the other batkids are together n the manor is happier now.
Next storys could be about them slowly becoming seperate growing into their own little ppl now that it is safe to do so. Going to sch. N also if they want to become vigilantes? Revenge for parents death? Idk is it too long alr? They dont hav that much of a revenge need?
If they become vigilantes they would be a strike team or undercover ops really. But idk if i want them to cos like i dont see altair willing to let her bros get hurt. The only way maybe is that they really really see batfam as their family n want to protect them that they will go out into the field. But i kinda wanna make use of the abilities n natural talents they have. Hmm this is tough
I am thinking that maybe the siblings take after 3 of the batkids fighting styles. Altair could one day go up to damain and ask him to trained her in using the katana, she was praticing kenjitsu before, when they still lived in japan. N damian is flatter but dosent show it and agrees. He trains her a little unorthodox n pretty fiercely but still always practical pointers n corrects her mistakes patiently. And more defensive, self defense manuaveurs. Not sure who the twins would ask yet. This could b part of the main story before they figure out their identities. Jus them wanting to learn to defend themselves on the street cos they r still planning on running. Awww it will cute if they each came to the conclusion themselves and ask to be secreatly trained so they could take care of their siblings.
Ok i think i want pollux to ask dick n cass, not to fight exactly but to read people and control the conversation to fine tune his people skills to defuse a situation and keep out of trouble n his sibs safe. Castor i think would go for Tim, to use the bo staff, ever practical, no shortage of sticks, long pole like objects in the streets to use as a weapon.
Ok maybe Altair dosent want to be a vigilente, but one or both of the twins wants, not for revenge, but to protect. And maybe is cos they look up to altair and also maybe dami or tim. Sth happends to inspire them. But altair is super against it. Tension grows. N then snap. Maybe the twins sneak out. Then altair gets mad n scared n finds them. N agnst shouting n finally the admitsion is cos of her they want to protect. Tears n crying. I think i want to drag it out a bit. I dun want her to give in jus like tat. N eventually altair ends up joining but only so she can look aft her bros , "cos we r a team rite? Forever and always as long as there are stars in the sky".
Also theres the panel of bruce talking to dami i kinda want that or similiar in the story, check #writing ref
Yea whew i think i got everything out now maybe i can concentrate on the stuff i actually nd to do. Holy shit i took like 2 hrs to type this oh boy.
