Not tipping bartenders = Incurring the wrath of Hecate. And not in a sexy-dangerous, “Find my ring,” sort of way. I’m talking about a dangerous-dangerous, “Murder you and no one will find the body,” sort of way.

I saw the 7 PM Nov 22 performance. During the third ballroom scene, instead of lifting up Duncan the cast lifted up Austin Goodwin's Boy Witch. They appeared to be cheering for the actor not the character and several of the audience were cheering as well, something I have not seen before in this scene. I assume there was a special night for Austin, like his birthday or 100th show or maybe even his last show. Is this something the cast has done before for special occasions?

Yes, last night’s 7 pm show was Austin’s last. It is traditional that, if on their final show a cast member is playing a character who appears in the ballroom party, the group lifts them up instead of Duncan. Sometimes, they’ll also toast them at the final banquet.

Visit #11

Trip 11 was filled with some wonderful new surprises experiencing some of the new things the hotel has going on. Did not have any one on ones but it felt like I was exploring the hotel for the first time again! My night was made complete by meeting a lovely audience member both in an experience in the hotel and then running into him afterwards at the bar. He told me he was working up the courage to propose to his girlfriend that very night and had just happened to take her to Sleep No More for the first time that night to celebrate her birthday. It just felt like such a perfect way to end the night, getting to see his beautiful nervous excitement. Until next time...

My birthday box giveaway!

Okay so I’ve decided that for my birthday, I’m going to host another Magic Box Giveaway. The box is a tiny bit bigger than 3x5 inches (7.5x12.5 cm) and will either be this box below or a very similar one. Said box will be stained and made much prettier, and I’ll fill it with things relating to a theme/character of your choice.

You MUST be following me to enter. This giveaway is for my followers. I wanted to thank you for the support you have given me and my shop over the past year.

The auditions have been brilliant. Our faintly stolen and adapted version of Punchdrunk’s hide and seek has become an incredible highlight. As a result I find myself wanting the auditions to go on for at least another hour. Can’t wait for first rehearsals!
