Today’s the #InternationalDayofWomenandGirlsinScience Let’s celebrate!
Defense attorney co sign.
You make your attorneys job harder when you speak to the cops.
So, credit where due, this is a screen grab from the Twitter account @BeattyLaw, an actual defense attorney, so it’s doubly attorney-endorsed.
(Link to the original tweet)
He also has a few more (I will not speak for @yourbigsisnissi and can’t say whether she also endorses these:

I don’t know this guy, I just follow him on Twitter, but I’ll encourage you, if you’re on Twitter, maybe go and hit that retweet on these too - folks there need this advice as much as we do here.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!
This is good advice. However, you cannot simply remain silent. You have to tell the police that you are invoking your right to remain silent.
happy Valentine’s Day to me, i love my bitch ass 🔪
this whole thing is way too good to be giffed you need to expirience it

Schizophrenic people are 14 times more likely to be victims of a violent crime than commit one.
“(Schizophrenic) Individuals in this sample were at least 14 times more likely to be victims of a violent crime than to be arrested for one. In general, the risk associated with being in the community was higher than the risk these individuals posed to the community”
This means that neurotypicals are a much bigger threat to schizophrenic people than schizophrenic people are to neurotypicals.
You can now shove all your “psycho killer” stereotypes up your ass.
I’d really appreciate if non schizophrenic people reblogged this cause the misconception that schizophrenic people are dangerous is so widespread and I really want people to see this post so that they won’t react with fear and apprehension when they meet a schizophrenic person.
Saying that a disabled child or adult “will never live independently” is such a slap in the face. I think it’s unacceptable and I think it’s lazy. No one will ever live independently! No one is living independent of medical care, emotional support, and goods/services provided by others. Humans are a deeply interdependent species. Disabled people are sometimes rendered ~dependent~ specifically on a state or family apparatus in a way that makes them vulnerable to abuse or exploitation, but this isn’t the only way to experience “”dependency.”“
Some people are just told that they are “independent” because their lives and needs are normalized to such an extent that the enormous amount of support they receive is invisible.
a hero
If your straight guy friend says that he supports gays, tell him that you thought he was gay when you first met him. See how fast he gets upset and insecure & starts asking you why you thought that.
My gay guy friend tried this to our straight friend and the response he got was “thought? More like hoped” and then he winked. That’s a real ally right there.
He really just scalped your poor gay friend on the spot didn’t he lmfao
I tried this on a straight friend and he turned bright red and mumbled something about how he might be bisexual actually? so I introduced him to some of the other queer folks I know and flash forward 4 months he’s definitely bi and out to all of our friends and dating a guy on his intramural kickball team.
Loving all of this
I think I’m in love, and it feels really fine.
NEVERMIND, IT’S FUCKING AWFUL AND I WANT TO DIE
me: *walks into hospital* id like to return myself nurse: u cant- me: i have the receipt *hands them my birth certificate* nurse: no problem come right this way

*camera pans to nearby cat, looking deeply unamused*
