Okay I prefer not to get political but this is actually so fucking ghoulish, for people from other countries if your child's attendance drops below a certain percent you could be fined massive amounts of money or even put in prison, for example a couple were given a fine of around a hundred thousand pounds because their autistic child refused to go to school for about a year and a half and obviously they weren't gonna force him through the door

In my personal experience my school litterally will not let you leave unless you are throwing up, you're banned from using your phone to talk to your parents, I had to go in the day after my great grandma's funeral because otherwise my mum would've had to pay loads of money, this rule is stupid and basically just causes misery for children and their parents aswell as causing financial problems for parents of children with disabilities who might need more time of,but hey anything except taxing the rich more I guess
