I think Vi doodled and graffitied her name as the Roman numerals all the time as a kid. Why else would Vander in the s2,ep7 AU have the tattoo for her in the same style?

I just realized: Vi didn't used to know how to pick locks. Mylo specifically says he's the only one who can pick locks. Which means Vi learned that after he died. What if it's something she learned to keep his memory alive? A way to honor him. And that knowledge she took from honoring Mylo helped her best Ambessa in the camp.
In a way, Mylo protected Vi even in death.
with that fucking military propaganda song surfacing tiktok atm, i’m now seeing edits of people suggesting vi fell for enforcer propaganda. i’m so fucking tired dude 😭😭
I took part in the CaitVi Big Bang this year and got paired up on a fantastic fic by @tuskmammoth and buddying artist @holixx
Check out the fic!
Just finished reading this. So good! Highly recommend! Deserves more love.

If you say something on a public forum, you open yourself up for conversation about the content of that post.
If you use specific tags for that, you leave yourself open for anyone who frequents those tags to come in and talk about it.
If in that post, in those tags, you give a "hot take," you open yourself up for criticism and debate.
SO LET ME BE CLEAR: If you come into my favorite tags, talking about my favorite show, and you give a take that I find problematic and potentially harmful, I'm going to shame you. I'm going to criticize you and if I have to, I'll make an entire essay on how you are wrong.
BUT if when met by this challenge, you block me instead of defending yourself, your intentions are now suspect.
If you can't back up your "hot takes" with facts, you are an unreliable narrator, and your statements are null.
Edit: I'm talking about people who come into the tags with buzz topics to get attention and use it as a way to verbally abuse people who disagree with them instead of participating in constructive conversation. That is what I want to shame. Trolling and bullying under the guise of being woke.
I believe this behavior is harmful not only to us as a community but also as a society.
Something we do not talk about nearly enough is this moment right before Vi kisses Caitlyn. The last member of her family just walked away from her after they both lost their adopted father figure for the second time, and she thinks that because she hesitated to strike the final blow against Jinx before, it cost her Caitlyn, too. She thinks she doesn't have anyone; she literally says so. Then Caitlyn struts right up to her and says "I made it so there was nothing between you and your sister, I chose to let go of my hatred for her, you don't have to choose between us" and you can visibly see the hope that lights up Vi's eyes. The super quick glance down to her lips because her girl is back even after all that time apart.
She realizes all that and then looks up to see this expression looking back at her. I would've immediately jumped her bones too.
And the thing is, this wasn't even a "let's get back together" grand gesture, calling it a "you don't have to choose between us" isn't even fully correct, either. This was Caitlyn saying "I want you to be happy, and if that means choosing your sister over me, then do it." For all she knew, Vi and Jinx would leave Piltover/Zaun to start over again somewhere where they had less baggage. When Vi kisses her, she's so stunned her eyes are still open and she doesn't kiss her back for a good few seconds.
But when she does, she wraps her arms around Vi and pulls them as close together as they can possibly get. She's glad her girl is back, too.

Sooo who wants a caitvi's actor AU?!?. You are welcome!
+++
Summary:
“I’m always amazed at how you’re not kidnapped or dead in a ditch. Your luck is almost annoying.”
“What can I say?” Vi grinned with that casual leaning shrug. “God is a woman, and She thinks I’m hot.”
Vi and Cait are coworkers on the second season of their hit show. Their characters onscreen have great chemistry and are popular with fans, but the actors themselves? Barely get along.
Until they have to.

Analysis - Vi and Caitlyn: Trauma, Attachment, and Emotional Healing in Arcane
So I was watching Arcane again and I pick some new interesting pieces.
Please don't kill me. I just do this for fun or rather is like hobby.
I will try to explain for you the whole patters ,the best I can.
The relationship between Vi and Caitlyn in Arcane Season 2 is more than partnership—it is a psychological interplay between trauma, attachment, and emotional growth.
Understanding their inner worlds explains why their bond resonates so powerfully:
Vi brings trauma-shaped defense mechanisms, and Caitlyn brings secure attachment and emotional stability.
Together, they navigate danger, guilt, and intimacy in ways that foster healing and growth for both.
1. Vi’s Trauma and Defensive Patterns
Vi’s psychology in Season 2 is heavily shaped by:
* Hyper-responsibility: She assumes the burden of everyone’s safety, often at the expense of her own health.
* Avoidant vulnerability: She hides emotional pain behind sarcasm, aggression, and action.
* Survivor’s guilt: Her failure to protect Powder/Jinx leaves her emotionally haunted, making closeness terrifying.
These patterns make Vi impulsive, fiercely protective, and emotionally guarded. Her attachment style is closer to dismissive-avoidant, where she craves connection but fears intimacy, seeing vulnerability as dangerous.
2. Caitlyn’s Secure Attachment and Moral Stability
Caitlyn’s psychology contrasts with Vi’s:
* Secure attachment style: She is consistent, emotionally available, and patient.
* Moral and emotional courage: She balances her ethical obligations with empathy for those in need.
* Conflict management: Caitlyn can navigate danger and risk while maintaining emotional regulation.
Caitlyn provides the stability and safe space Vi lacks, allowing Vi to confront feelings she has long suppressed.
3. Attachment Interplay: Corrective Experiences and Mutual Growth
The core of their relationship lies in attachment-based dynamics:
* Vi experiences a corrective attachment: Caitlyn demonstrates that love and care do not automatically lead to loss. Vi begins to trust someone outside her trauma cycles.
* Caitlyn experiences emotional expansion: Vi challenges her to feel fear, passion, and urgency more intensely, teaching Caitlyn to act beyond social rules.
This mutual influence exemplifies trauma-informed relational healing: one partner provides safety and consistency, while the other catalyses emotional depth and courage.
4. Conflict as Psychological Catalyst
Season 2 illustrates that their conflicts are not failures—they are growth opportunities:
* Vi’s protectiveness and impulsivity create tension with Caitlyn’s cautious planning.
* Caitlyn’s responsibility to Piltover sometimes clashes with Vi’s moral independence.
These challenges force both to:
* articulate feelings,
* navigate vulnerability,
* negotiate trust and dependence,
* recognise interdependence without losing autonomy.
Psychologically, their conflicts mirror real-world trauma–relationship dynamics: trust is built not in comfort, but in how partners navigate risk together.
5. Moments of Emotional Breakthrough
Key moments in Season 2 highlight the psychological growth in their bond:
* Physical closeness after danger: Vi allows Caitlyn to support her physically and emotionally, a departure from her habitual self-reliance.
* Verbal acknowledgment of feelings: Both admit care and fear, breaking down barriers that trauma imposed.
* Shared responsibility for moral choices: Both negotiate how to act in morally complex situations, deepening mutual respect and trust.
These interactions show that their romantic and emotional connection is inseparable from their psychological development.
6. Psychological Summary
* Vi’s arc: Learning that vulnerability does not equal danger; understanding that being loved does not mean repeating past losses.
* Caitlyn’s arc: Learning that love can coexist with duty and that emotional risk is necessary for authentic connection.
Together, they form a trauma-informed attachment pair:
* Vi gains safety, trust, and a model for healthy emotional connection.
* Caitlyn gains emotional depth, courage, and a willingness to embrace uncertainty.
* Their bond becomes a conduit for mutual healing, illustrating how relationships can transform trauma into resilience.
Conclusion
In Arcane Season 2, Vi and Caitlyn’s relationship is a study in psychological interplay:
* Trauma meets secure attachment.
* Fear meets trust.
* Isolation meets emotional safety.
* Their bond is not just romantic—it is therapeutic, formative, and transformative.
Through each other, Vi and Caitlyn learn that surviving is not enough; thriving requires letting someone in, taking emotional risks, and trusting that love can endure—even in the most dangerous world.
Well If it's not true love, I don't know what it is.
Let me know what you think.
I keep seeing this point come up, and hey, everyone’s allowed their take. So here’s mine below!
Yes Arcane was rushed in some ways, and there are definitely choices I might not have made myself (though I’m aware that’s also because I personally favor CaitVi as a dynamic over others). And yes, we’re all viewing it through our own lens. That part is important.
But even with all of that… I genuinely believe what we did get was exceptionally well crafted. It’s just that Arcane isn’t always loud about its storytelling, it’s subtle, layered, and heavily reliant on symbolism, character mirroring and non verbal cues. A lot of it is happening in the silences rather than in spelled-out dialogue, and that’s why some people don’t see it unless they really lean in.
Cait and Vi’s screen time together is limited, that part is objectively true. But what they built in that short window is dense with meaning. Their connection is presented less as “we spent time together” and more as:
“You see me. I am really seen maybe for the first time.”
• Their dynamic is intentionally quiet compared to the chaos around them. Vi slows down around Caitlyn, literally. Watch her body language. She stops posturing, listens more, controls her temper. Caitlyn drops her façade, lets go of control, becomes more emotionally present. These are huge character shifts expressed without exposition.
• The scene where Caitlyn gently places her hand over Vi’s as she’s wounded? Zero dialogue. But Caitlyn chooses tenderness when Vi only expects judgment or fear. That’s recognition, not romance fanservice.
• Same with Vi’s “You’re hot” line, often misunderstood as flirty banter, but narratively it’s her testing if Caitlyn will respond like everyone else or if she’ll actually hear her. Caitlyn doesn’t fluster or laugh it off. She meets it. It’s mutual acknowledgement. Subtle, but intentional.
• The bridge scene: Caitlyn worries about Vi’s safety long before she processes the situation strategically. She sees Vi the person, not Vi the asset. In a show about power and utility, that’s deliberate.
People say “there wasn’t enough time,” and while that’s true structurally (the creators did say it was originally meant to span more seasons), I’d argue that what we got wasn’t “incomplete,” it was compressed. And instead of rushing character development through forced exposition, they placed trust in the audience to connect the dots.
Also, for me, what makes CaitVi so strong narratively is when it happens. They find each other in the middle of absolute collapse. The city is breaking, loyalties are fracturing, every belief they ever held is being challenged… and they still choose to move toward each other. That’s not halfway writing, that’s precision.
Would I love to actually see how they grow after Season 2? Absolutely. And it’s a shame the canon route won’t give us that closure directly. But that’s also why post-canon fic has become so meaningful to many of us, not because the canon failed, but because it was powerful enough that we want more.
To me, that’s not bad execution. That’s good writing curtailed by production constraints. There’s a difference between “they didn’t care to write it” and “they didn’t get the space to expand it.” Arcane still chose the kind of storytelling that respects intelligence over gratification.
So yes, their relationship could’ve been deeper if given more screen time. But I don’t see a tarnished ship. I see one that, even in limited scenes, showed two people recognizing and remembering each other in a way that breaks their worlds open. And honestly? That sticks with me more than any extended romance arc would have.
Because sometimes the most beautiful connections in storytelling aren’t loud or fully explained. They’re the ones that feel like they continue after the camera cuts away.
And for Cait and Vi… that’s exactly what Season 2 leaves us with. Not an end. A starting point we aren’t allowed to witness, but one we can feel.
They will heal together.
arcane: the symbolism of magic as mutilation
forced change, body horror, decimation of the mind. it’s a drug, an invention, or spell that enhances the part of us that fights by destroying the parts that make us human.
figures like silco, singed, and (initially) viktor viewed magical mutilation as medicinal — but for mel, jayce, jinx, and later viktor, the choice was nonconsensual, yet permanent.
hextech; a handheld magic. a non-permanent disease of the mind. magic is power, power always corrupts. it targets the human will & skews morals by falsifying the illusion of control.
it has the potential to mutilate minds, morals, ego. owners of this magic will never be the same again.
magic isn’t inherently evil, but power is mankinds greatest weakness. vi is the only figure in arcane to be exposed to three magical systems (shimmer, hextech, and the arcane) without any permanent corruption. a good heart goes a long way!
honorable mention: zaun is notorious for chemtech enhancements, prosthetics and revolutionary technology. they’re a hotspot of black markets and global travelers. their bodily engineering, while can seen to be an alternative for healthcare due to the toxic sumps, can also be used as recreational means of limb enhancements and style.
^^^ Personally, I think your obsession with demonizing Amanda Overton is fundamentally more creepy.
“Cait makes no move to repair the trust she broke.”
I mean, that’s just willful ignorance and lying on your part. List of things Caitlyn does to repair her relationship with Vi.
1. LISTENS to Vi. Frequently she just LISTENS and lets Vi talk. She doesn’t talk over her, cut her off, or dismiss anything Vi says.
2. She works with Vi to betray Ambessa to free Vander/Warwick.
3. She lets Vi free Jinx. Reminder: Jinx is a wanted criminal/terrorist in the eyes of Piltover. And Caitlyn just let her GO BACK INTO ZAUN. Can you imagine if a politician did that today?
4. She helps heal Vi after Vi takes beating from Ambessa’s men.
5. She provides Vi with a safe space to live peacefully.
I could go on but this is just the tip of the iceberg here. I genuinely don’t understand how you people can’t see the things Caitlyn does to try and repair their rift. Caitlyn does SO MUCH for Vi.
Can you guys just STOP LYING?
