No thoughts, just some random funny OC introduction/development exercises I’d like to see done: People with OC’s should write an “AITA” Reddit post that their character would write. I swear people can be so creative with plots and can already imagine how unhinged some of them would be out of context.

Here’s some titles I wrote for some OC’s I have in my story.

“AITA for asking a foreign Queen for a job after she just heard that her son would probably die from a prophecy in order to get out of becoming a prince?”(MC)

“AITA for telling my best friend that he can’t protect me because I’m literally a demigod?”(MC’s Love Interest)

“AITA for telling my fiancee to suck some dick because he clearly has shots for his best friend?”(LI’s “Fiancee”)

(“Fiancee” is in question marks because it’s complicated)

“AITA for being super affectionate with my best friend to spite a guy who has a crush on him?”(MC’s other best friend)

“AITA for beating up my sister for creating my ideal type, only to kill him years later after marrying him?”(Some God in the Background)

OC Help

After creating a samurai and cowboy OC, I realized just how much story potential I have. Problem? They have no story and so far their story is that with the power of God(me) they meet, fall in love, and get into dumb adventures together.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can have them existing in a cohesive story? I don't want the setting to be 1800's because my knowledge of history is crap and I don't want to mess anything up, so maybe have it take place in an alternate universe or in some weird fantasy setting where they could potentially exist?

I’ve actually never really considered a Keith x Geordo relationship(mostly bc I’ve mainly seen Nicol x Keith and GeoKata ships) but now that you’ve written this, I can lowkey see this? Like if neither of them had their sights on Katarina and instead were protective of her because of their distrust towards anyone that isn’t Katarina and due to them being romantically interested in her, I’d ship them. They kind of give bickering old married couple vibes, like I wouldn’t be surprised if in universe there’s a small collection of maids who ship the two after seeing them bickering.

Out of curiosity though, why do you think Geordo would be the first to apologize between him and Keith? I could maybe see it, but depending on the situation, I’d say that Keith ***might*** apologize first because he’s typically sensitive towards other people’s emotions.

I do think that in-universe, there's a whole fan club of Geordo/Keith people 🤭

I always thought that they bicker a little too much for it to be true, real animosity. I'm fairly convinced that they're just extremely tsundere towards each other 😁. They fit "rivals to lovers" too well for me to be able to ignore it.

In terms of who would be the first to apologize, I think it would be Geordos because I think he would be the first one to say something stupid and then regret it. I also think that he enjoys teasing Keith to the point of making the other loose his cool, so he would be the one apologizing more often. But depending on the circumstances, it could also be Keith who apologizes first.

Honestly, I usually ship canon ships(MariKata possibly being the exception since I have a feeling it’ll never be canon and GeoKata will be endgame) so maybe that’s why I never really shipped any male characters with each other since they’re all interested in Katarina. HOWEVER, you Dulcito have opened my queer eyes to the possibilities, especially with GeoKeith being a pretty good template for a classic enemies to bickering childhood friends to lovers! Come to think of it, they’re kinda like Merlin and Arthur from BBC’s Merlin show!(I recommend watching the series if you’re into magic, a sweet but sassy MC, and comedy/adventure)

What is your opinion on a piece of media(show, book, manga, anime, movie, etc.) where the main characters get development and represent a deeper theme while the bad guy is just an evil little shit that woke up and decided to be a problem for society? Do they just double fall in love, cancel out because they’re already in love, or do they have no filter when they show their love? What would be the logical aftermath of this?

I'm a big fan of "no filter" as a consequence of it.

Like, they realize they drank a love potion so they go 1000% ALL in in terms of flirting and whatnot because, in their head, "the potion made them do it"...

When in reality, it's more like "the love potion became a placebo and the drinker lost all inhibitions/restraint in the process."

Actually that makes sense, since love potions typically have the consumer showing their love unrestrained so I guess it shouldn’t matter whether or not they were in love with the first person they saw prior to drinking it.

Ooh bonus points if the person remembers what they did while under the influence of the love potion. It’d be very interesting to read their reactions.

Possible Unpopular Opinion?

In the past, I’ve been recommended to read Who Made me a Princess and at a first glance, I could see why this manhwa was recommended to me.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but a good chunk of the fandom of this manhwa seem to glamorize Claude as a character. Sure he’s a hot guy with a shitty backstory, but this man is a TERRIBLE father. From what little info I’ve gathered, he pretty much blames Anastasia for the death of Ruby, even though Ruby insisted on giving birth to Anastasia despite her fragile condition. When she dies giving birth to her, he blames it on Anastasia and has no love for her.(again, please correct me if I’m wrong I haven’t read the manhwa and only saw some spoilers)

The premise of the story sounded interesting, but for me, seeing a child(even a transmigrated one) have to work hard to gain even a fragment of their biological parent’s love just rubs me the wrong way. I’m sure the novel is good and that they don’t excuse Claude’s behavior, but I can’t look at Claude without feeling disgusted.

The answer to this little thought I had was probably answered in the light novels, but I never read the light novels and only read the manga and watched the first season of the anime, so if anyone knows the answer to this, feel free to correct me on this.

In the manga, when Sirius puts Katarina to sleep using dark magic, who found Katarina unconscious on the campus grounds? What did they do when they found her? What exactly happened between the time Katarina was put to sleep with dark magic and the time we see her in her bedroom surrounded by her friends?

It was Geordo. We find out in LN2, at the very last chapter. It's all in his POV, he narrates the scene where he goes to warn her about the existence of dark magic, then we get this:
