Full Flower Moon
“The full Moon arrives this month on May 4, 2015. This full Moon is often called the “Full Flower Moon” since the flowers are near full bloom in many parts of the northern hemisphere. It’s also called the “Corn Planting Moon” since the agricultural cycle begins this month for many farmers. Mercury Visible in the Western Sky
“The speedy planet Mercury remains visible above the western horizon after sunset through mid-May 2015. Slooh Members Help Rosetta Monitor Comet 67P
“The European Space Agency’s historic Rosetta spacecraft is now getting a close-up view of Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko as it nears the Sun and comes to life over the next few months. To supplement its in-flight observations, the Rosetta mission has also requested ground-based observers to monitor the comet’s brightness and behavior. So Slooh members have recently created a program to collaborate with professional astronomers to study Comet 67P using our robotic telescopes in Chile and the Canary Islands.“-- Full article here: http://bit.ly/1zEUAiS

Noctilucent Clouds
“Some fascinating sights in the night sky lie close to home. Meteors, aurorae, and skyglow, for example, are all captivating phenomena visible just at the edge of space.
