🗡 Host was talking to a friend about this a while ago, and wanna put down our own two G about this, even if just to write it down.

We don't think there's a universe where Susie would ever replace Kris, Ralsei, anyone. There is not a single thought in that girls head that would ever lead her to abandoning anyone for someone else. She's a dragon(metaphorical or biologically), these people are her hoard. All of them are getting loved and cherished forever. The absolute worst thing we could even assume right now, is that she's excited that someone likes her just like she likes them, and is focusing on that a lot. Like everyone would for the most part!!

That said, I can also so, so easily imagine Kris taking it far worse than it actually is. If we're assuming right, this is a kid that's shut themselves off from everyone they love and care about because they're convinced that they're just going to hurt them at worst, or at best, just be in the way and holding them back. That's why we believe they drifted away from Noelle. But Kris is also someone who DOES care so, so fucking much about the people around them, look at how they, unprompted, put in theirs and Ellys name for the ballot? Calling back to them as children, probly close to a decade ago. That's not someone who doesn't care, that's someone who's desperate for a reunion.

But see their childhood friend and their best friend getting together, being so happy without them... it's easy for those thoughts to seep back in. 'They've got each other, they don't need me to do anything, they'll be happier without me dragging them down,' conveniently ignoring that BOTH Noelle and Susie want Kris around, even if Noelle is still also grappling with how much them distancing themselves hurt her.

TLD- fucking-R: Susie isn't going to abandon Kris in any way, despite Kris potentially still taking it like that's a forgone conclusion, and she's gonna beat that into them probly over the next two chapters.

Hi I have an undergrad psych degree! I also have ADHD! In my motherfucking TEXTBOOK, the authors said, “Research describes ADHD as a neurodevelopmental disorder in the same vein as Autism. We are putting the (miniscule) section on ADHD in the same chapter as ODD, though, because we believe really these disorders both boil down to ✨️ people not doing what we tell them to because they are lazy✨️”

So my actual TEXTBOOK admitted that it was biased and teaching these disorders based on opinion and not up to date research. And, as described above, the section on ODD was basically just, “these are bad kids. We will not look into why or how or what comorbidities exist and we will also not be exploring the possibility of ODD really being a manifestation of trauma/undiagnosed adhd/autism/pathological demand avoidance/persistent drive for autonomy. We will however be mostly focusing on how annoying these kids are to their parents and teachers ✨️”

It’s fucking crazy. “Yeah we know lots of people with autism struggle to follow demands. They may either ignore/not register demands or have meltdowns when demands are placed. They may engage in physical aggression, verbal aggression, and property desctruction when directed to complete tasks or be exposed to uncomfortable sensory input.
