We visited an old glass factory that was converted into a park and the photos can get very surreal.

Anyway while I'm at it wrt boycotts, one of the reasons why they can be disproportionately effective against well-chosen targets is that the stock market will lose its shit at a company simply failing to meet growth targets, let alone losing profit.
Conversely, boycotting an entity with no shareholder pressure on it is going to be a lot harder, because you need to take out a much bigger chunk of their revenue.
Vivec would never take estrogen or stop boymoding, not bc she isn't trans, but because living a falsehood brings her sick sexual pleasure
the mii facepaint thing is hard
Oh!
For people in the notes confused about the connection:
We’re living in an era of crisis. Enter lifestyle fascism: a bid to remake society by remaking the beleaguered male body.
It is no coincidence, however, that once someone has “collected them all” from a specific set of personal commitments — paranoia about seed oils; rejection of vaccines; a belief that biohacking or “data” or artificial intelligence can make humans physically immortal; a nostalgia for “traditional” foods or gender relations — we can pretty much predict which political forms they will favor. [...] Couched in the boosterish language of the online wellness guru, their projects link perfecting the physical self to building a better future for white men and those who love them. The “robust energy and biological resilience” of Liver King’s “ancestral lifestyle” is fueled by patriarchal values as much as by raw liver.
Unpasteurized milk, the carnivore diet, and other MAHA food/lifestyle choices are very much politicized, just as being anti-vaccine and anti-mask was with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. All linked to white supremacy and far-right authoritarianism.
In case you weren't aware, the goal of a boycott is to significantly impact the bottom line of a business to pressure it into stopping some specific harmful behavior.
This means that a disorganized "don't support this" with no clear timeframe, no clear demand being put forward, and no organized effort to reach the actual customers of the business... is pretty unlikely to achieve anything.
"Boycotts never achieve anything" factoid is actually a statistical error. Historically, boycotts have been an enormously successful pressure mechanism for collective action. Boycotts georg, a social media user who launches a million poorly strategized boycotts every day with no thought given to target selection or actionable demands, is an outlier adn should not have been counted.
I like to say, all these BDS supporters are performative and/or misinformed. There's zero real way to boycott 'the entirety of Israel' without harming Palestinians and/or being xenophobic. However, if you wanted, you could specifically boycott products made by Israelis in illegal West Bank settlements (few of which are shipped internationally in the first place), or advocate for divestment from specific Israeli companies who are most closely linked to the IDF (civilians cannot meaningfully boycott weapons facilities). but nahhhhh, better to start spamming barf emoji under every mention of Israel or Judaism, this will certainly help Palestine...
So the BDS movement's easily-accessible website is one of the places where I've learned the most about effective boycotting strategies, because they actually do discuss prioritizing where there's a real chance of making an impact.
The problem is individuals who drown out the organized effort, not the actual organization.
In the bathroom and cascada every time we touch just came on and the girl in the stall next to me was like oh my god this is my song and started peeing harder
