Red's Twin
Pairing: Red Hearts x Chloe Charming
Genre: fluffy
note: just a really short story with a whole lot of teasing the youngest Charming
"You're twins!" Chloe said, her brow furrowed as she looked between the two identical girls standing in front of her.
"What?" you and Red replied in unison, feigning disbelief as mischievous glances passed between you. The air seemed to crackle with playful tension, the kind only tricksters could create for their newly found friend.
"No," you declared firmly, your tone as serious as a judge delivering a verdict. Arms crossed in mock defiance, you tried to hold steady, though the corners of your mouth twitched with the laughter threatening to escape.
"Really?" Red interjected, smirking as she tugged your face closer, narrowing her eyes in mock inspection. But when she caught sight of your identical smirk, the absurdity of the moment broke her composure, and both of you erupted into laughter.
"Mum should’ve told us," you said, pretending to sound wounded at the supposed revelation.
"I feel cheated," Red added, clutching her chest with over-the-top dramatics.
"Duped!" you chimed, raising an eyebrow.
"Hoodwinked!" Red finished, and the two of you collapsed into uncontrollable giggles.
Chloe crossed her arms, a bemused smile tugging at her lips. Realization dawned quickly — these two were going to be far more trouble than she’d hoped.
The library was quiet, save for the faint crackle of candlelight and the whisper of pages turning. You leaned lazily over one of the tall shelves, watching Chloe pretend to be absorbed in a book far too heavy for her interest. You slowly descend like a leaf swaying as your body float weightlessly.
"So, baby Blue," you began, your voice breaking the silence with a mischievous lilt, "I heard a rather interesting rumour circling the school."
Chloe froze mid-turn of a page, her fingers tightening around the edge. Slowly, she glanced at you, arms folding across her chest like a shield. "What rumor?" she asked, her tone sharp but her cheeks already blooming pink.
"A little birdy told me…" You ruffled your hair, and to Chloe’s astonishment, a few very real birds burst free, fluttering toward the open window before disappearing. With a casual shake, you smoothed your hair back into its somehow-tamed style, as though nothing unusual had happened.
Chloe’s eyes widened, her lips parting in awe. "What did you hear?"
You leaned close, lowering your voice so only she could hear. "They said you fancy a certain Wonderland princess."
Chloe’s blush deepened instantly. "That’s—That’s ridiculous," she stammered, clutching the book tighter.
"There are only two princesses, last I checked," you teased with a sly giggle, conjuring a mirror with a snap of your fingers. You looked back at Chloe — but your reflection didn’t move. Instead, it smirked and spoke on its own.
"And I’m sure it’s not me, so…"
Before Chloe could react, you throw the mirror but instead of hearing glass shattering like it was suppose to, the mirror dissolved into water with a soft splash. Out of the mist, a shimmering replica of Red appeared, standing tall before the two of you.
Chloe’s breath caught. She knew instantly who it was meant to be. They may look alike, but Chloe could tell them apart without hesitation. Her blush gave her away more than any words ever could.
You grinned, circling her like a cat with its prey. "That leaves us with one answer, doesn’t it?"
"Y-you don’t know anything," Chloe muttered, her voice shaky, gaze fixed firmly on the floor.
"Oh, I know plenty," you teased, your grin wicked and knowing. "And I’ll be reminding you every chance I get."
Chloe pressed the book to her chest as if it could shield her from your grin. Her blush was spreading so fast it almost matched Red’s hair.
"You’ve got it all wrong," she mumbled, avoiding your eyes. "I don’t— I mean, Red and I— it’s nothing like that."
You tilted your head, a sly smile tugging at your lips. "Mm. You can say that, baby Blue, but your face says otherwise." You tapped her nose with a playful finger before she could swat you away.
"I’m not blushing!" she snapped, which only made her cheeks burn hotter.
You burst into laughter, the sound echoing off the high shelves. "Oh, darling, if that’s not blushing, then I’m the Queen of Hearts herself."
Chloe groaned, burying her face behind the book. "Why do you always do this?"
"Because it’s fun," you admitted without hesitation, leaning against the table beside her. "And because it’s true. You like her, don’t you?"
Chloe peeked out from behind the book, her wide blue eyes glaring at you. "No," she said firmly, though her voice wavered.
You gasped dramatically, pressing a hand to your chest. "Lies! To my face? You wound me, baby blue."
Chloe rolled her eyes and tried to walk past you, but you darted in front of her, blocking her path with a smirk.
"Come on," you whispered, leaning just close enough for her to squirm. "It’s written all over you. The way you look at her, the way you go soft when she laughs—oh, it’s adorable."
"Stop it!" Chloe hissed, shoving you lightly, her ears bright red now.
You only grinned wider, delighted. "Never. Not when it’s this much fun. I’ll tease you until the day you admit it out loud."
Chloe groaned again, muttering under her breath, but you caught the smallest, shyest smile tugging at her lips. No matter how much she denied it, you both knew the truth — and you had no intention of letting her forget it.
Thinking of an outing with certain criteria:
Y/n: what can we do that’s fun?
Kate: what can we do that’s different?
Peter: what can we do that’s free?
Yelena: what can we do that’s legal?
I love you, Evangeline
Pairing: Evie x Fem!reader

note: OC Belle and Beast daughter, Bellla
Summary: Prince Triston, Tiana's son, serenades his partner with a song that once ignited his parents' love during a dance practice for Auradon's royal ball. Evie is drawn into an unexpected dance with Bella as the music fills the ballroom.
Even before the kingdoms united under, the stories of each kingdom is known far and wide. The heart excitement of how their stories start, the adventure, the struggles, with villains and challenges they face but in the end conquered. And most of all, the love that blossom in the story, and each time a sang is sang to further emphasise the forming connection between two lovers, two partners, two souls.
There were love stories — grand, sweeping, and eternal. Tales sung to children as lullabies, whispered in palace corridors, written in the stars themselves. Love that once defied curses, broke spells, and crossed impossible barriers.
Everyone knew the stories.
Beauty and the Beast, Barely even friends, then somebody bends — unexpectedly.” Their love didn’t come from first sight. It came from quiet dinners, from reading side by side, from the moment she bandaged his wounds and he gave her space to be herself. He bent. She softened. And somewhere between snowball fights and shared books, they were no longer captor and captive — but something closer.
Snow White and her Prince, “Some day my prince will come…” she sang it alone, not knowing if anyone heard. He heard. And even when she lay cursed in silence, it was that memory — her voice, that hope — that led him through the woods. He didn’t know if it would work. He didn’t know if he was enough. But love bloomed the moment his lips touched hers… and the world opened its eyes again.
Cinderella and her Prince Charming, “So this is love… so this is what makes life divine.” they spoke only with their eyes that night — no titles, no histories, no worries about tomorrow. He wasn’t looking for a princess. She wasn’t expecting a prince. But love bloomed in the music — in the stillness between twirls. And when the clock struck midnight, he didn’t chase a name or a crown. He chased the feeling of being seen.
Aurora and Prince Philip, “I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream.” before they met, they dreamed of each other. Familiar, yet new. Their love bloomed like a memory returned — like coming home to someone they never knew they were missing. When he fought through thorns and fire, he didn’t do it just to awaken her. He did it because she had always lived in his dreams… and now, he wanted her in his days.
Rapunzel and Eugene, “And at last I see the light, and it’s like the fog has lifted.” she had only ever seen the world from a window. He had only ever run from it. But when they looked at each other beneath the lanterns, it wasn’t just wonder — it was clarity. Love bloomed in the realization that neither needed to be alone anymore. They were no longer just escaping something. They were running toward each other.
Jasmin and Aladdin, “Unbelievable sights, indescribable feelings…” she wasn’t impressed by gold or jewels. She wanted freedom — honesty. He tried to be someone else to win her. But love only bloomed when he stopped pretending. When he reached for her hand, not as Prince Ali, but as Aladdin — scared, hopeful, real — she saw him. And chose him.
And now they have the new generation.
Auradon Grand Ballroom — Afternoon
The golden chandeliers shimmered above the grand Auradon ballroom, each crystal catching the mellow light and scattering fragments like stardust across the polished marble. Gossamer drapes framed towering arched windows, letting in a soft breeze that rippled through the velvet banners of each united kingdom. The scent of freshly polished wood mingled faintly with blooming lilacs from the courtyard, drifting on the spring air.
Students of Auradon Prep filled the hall, their laughter and chatter echoing brightly under the vaulted ceilings as they rehearsed for the Royal Ball — the anniversary celebration of Auradon's founding and the uniting of all kingdoms.
King Ben, young but thoughtful, had generously invited everyone from Auradon prep along with their parents, and the children would perform a dance to commemorate the celebration for the anniversary of the United States of Auradon.
Now, during a brief break, the air hummed with anticipation. Someone — no one was sure who — had slipped to the speaker system and queued up a melody. It floated gently into the space: lilting, nostalgic, unmistakably familiar.
Prince Triston straightened from where he lounged, a distant expression softening his sharp features. His lips curved into a smile touched with something tender. "My uncle Luis said this was the song uncle Ray sang when my Dad realize his feelings for my Mom"
"Look how she lights up the sky"
Prince Triston sang the first line, he rose smoothly to his feet and turned to the princess seated nearby, bowing slightly with an offered hand. His partner blinked in surprise but smiled shyly, slipping her hand into his. Triston guided her up gently, steadying her waist with a practiced ease. Then he sang, clear and velvety.
"My Belle, Evangeline"
His voice reverberated softly across the marble, drawing eyes toward them like a slow ripple in a pond.
A hush began to spread through the room. Even a grumbling student muttering "Oh, please" was swiftly elbowed into silence. Couples glanced at one another, then gradually rose, compelled by the sweet familiarity of the tune.
Evie sat on a cushioned settee near the ballroom's edge, absentmindedly smoothing the rich navy fabric of her skirt. Beside her, Bella sat poised but relaxed, their shoulders brushing ever so lightly. Evie noticed, but couldn't bring herself to shift away.
"So far above me yet I . . ."
Triston's gaze on his partner was unguarded — full of quiet wonder. His steps flowed easily, but his smile betrayed how lost he was in the girl before him.
". . . know her heart belongs to only me"
At the far end, a student slid onto the piano bench, starting to play the well known song, fingers ghosting over the keys before picking up the melody, weaving it deeper into the atmosphere.
"Je t'adore,"
Bella's breath hitched — almost imperceptible. Under her breath, she murmured, "I adore you" She thought no one heard her but her blueberry heard her loud and clear.
Evie turned slightly, curiosity pricked. Surely Bella was just translating, as she often did — her playful habit of slipping between languages. But when she turned fully to face her, the air seemed to tighten.
"Je t'aime"
Bella's green eyes met hers unwaveringly. Open, clear, deeper than Evie had ever dared to look before as she says the line. "I love you" Bella breathed, her voice low and steady, her gaze never left her blueberry, you could here the genuine statement as if she was actually saying those words to Evie.
Caught of guard by her stare, Evie blushed and averted her eyes from the princess. For a heartbeat, Evie forgot to breathe. Her heart gave a disorienting lurch. The colour rose hot and swift to her cheeks, and she quickly glanced away, fingers fluttering nervously against her skirt. She can't mean it like that... can she?
"Evangeline"
The prince continues to dance and sing with his partner. Their dance contagious that other's started to dance along with their partner.
"You're my queen of the night"
Around them, more couples had taken to the floor. The music swelled gently, weaving like silk through the air.
"So still"
The strawberry blonde princess rose gracefully, extending a hand to the blueberry. Her expression was serene, but her smile carried something unspoken — an invitation and a promise all at once.
Evie's hesitation melted almost instantly. She slid her hand into the princess'. Her pulse jumped when their fingers interlaced naturally.
Bella tugged her gently to her feet, arms slipping easily around her waist as Evie's arms looped instinctively over Bella's shoulders.
"So bright"
Their movements, unsure at first, quickly found rhythm.
Triston sang as he spun his partner, the other couples mimicking with laughter and ease.
"That someone as beautiful as she"
Bella's eyes had not shifted once. Even as they twirled, her gaze remained locked on Evie's.
The weight of it made Evie's heart skip, her breath shallow and fluttering. Why is she looking at me like that? Like I'm... precious? No one's ever looked at me like that before...
"Could love someone like me"
This line of the song made Evie think how they seem like two couples helplessly inlove with each other because of how Bella's eyes look at her. Her chest tightened, warmth blooming like a secret she hadn't realized she'd been keeping. Could a princess like her would ever love a villain kid like me?
The simple song turned into a sweet dance cotillion of the students.
The words wrapped around Evie's thoughts, making her throat tighten. She wanted to say something — anything — but her lips parted uselessly.
Mid-turn, her shoe caught Bella's toe. Bella winced softly.
"Love always finds a way it's true"
Evie's face crumpled into immediate guilt. "Oh no — I'm so sorry! I've never danced with a partner before, I didn't mean to—" She made to pull away, but Bella tightened her hold just enough to anchor her. Her smirk curved knowingly.
"Where do you think you're going? You know it's rude to abandon your partner mid-dance," she teased gently. Before Evie could stammer another apology, Bella guided her seamlessly back into step.
"And I love you Evangeline"
Evie dropped her gaze again, self-conscious. But Bella's fingers found her chin, tilting her face up until their eyes met once more.
"Don't look down. Just look at me." Her voice was soft, sure.
"Love is beautiful"
Evie swallowed thickly and nodded. Okay... okay. Just her. She let herself sink into Bella's gaze and let go of her overthinking. She really is so beautiful.
"Love is wonderful"
Their steps smoothed, gliding effortlessly now. The piano lifted, Prince Triston's voice swelling brighter:
"Love is everything. Do you agree?"
"Mais oui!" Bella answered smiling, before then dipped Evie gently as the song slowly comes into an end.
The final notes shimmered gently.
"Look how she lights up the sky"
Above them, the chandelier scattered gold and crystal light, catching in Evie's deep, glistening eyes. Bella's breath caught visibly — her smile softened into something awestruck.
Belle felt awe at the sight.
"I love you, Evangeline"
Triston's voice faded with the last chord. The ballroom fell into a reverent hush. Around them, pairs slowly stilled, but it was Evie and Bella who held the room's breath.
From the dais, King Ben exchanged a knowing glance with Fairy Godmother, who smiled softly, hands clasped. Even Doug, standing nearby, nudged Jay with a grin, whispering something that made Jay snort under his breath.
Evie blinked slowly, chest rising and falling faster now. Bella's hands remained warm and steady on her waist.
Say something, Evie's mind begged. Say anything—
Bella's smile quirked, playful but fond. "You dance well for someone who swore she couldn't." Her thumb brushed the edge of Evie's waist gently, reassuring.
Evie's lips trembled, then parted in a soft laugh. "Maybe I just needed the right partner."
Bella's grin grew wider, teeth flashing. "Ah, flattery now? Careful, princesse— I could get used to that."
Before either of them could say more, Fairy Godmother's clear voice rang through the hall. "That was beautiful everyone. Let's take five, then return to formation for the final rehearsal." Her eyes twinkled subtly as they flicked to the two girls.
Blushing deeply, Evie tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, still not stepping away from Bella.
Across the room, Ben chuckled softly to his girlfriend, Mal. "Looks like the ball is working even better than I hoped," Mal nodded, smiling at her tow friends, before turning back to her notes.
And as Bella twirled Evie one last time — slower now, just for the two of them — the golden light of the ballroom wrapped around them like a promise yet to be spoken.

Red couldn't stand silence. It wasn't just a mild discomfort—it was a suffocating, gnawing dread. Silence in Wonderland was not natural. It was a land that thrived on chaos, where every second was filled with sound. The distant ticking of the White Rabbit's ever-late pocket watch, the constant murmuring of the flowers in the meadow, or the rhythmic, almost hypnotic march of the playing card soldiers.
As a child, Red had grown accustomed to this symphony of Wonderland's noise. It was what comforted her, what reassured her that everything was as it should be. Even the loudest sounds—the Mad Hatter's cackling laughter or the Queen's bellowing orders—had a strange consistency to them. They meant life was continuing as usual. Silence, however, was an omen.
The only time Wonderland had ever been quiet was when disaster was looming. Red remembered the first time it had happened, the eerie hush that fell over the kingdom the day before the great chessboard war. She had wandered the castle halls as a child, her footsteps echoing too loudly in the stillness. The card soldiers had stood at attention, not a single shuffle of their paper-thin feet or the clinking of their armour to be heard.
"What's happening?" Red had whispered to Cherise.
"Quiet means something's coming," she had replied, her usual playfulness replaced with a somber tone.
That night, the war began, and Red learned that silence was not to be trusted.
Even after she left Wonderland, the absence of sound never stopped haunting her. She carried that unease with her, like an invisible shadow, and though her life had changed in so many ways, her relationship with silence remained the same.
When she moved into Auradon with Chloe to start her school year, it should have felt like a haven. A place to start fresh. But the dorms' thick stone walls muted everything—no birds chirping, no distant chatter from townsfolk.
It was a stark contrast to the bustling mornings when students filled the halls, the lively laughter echoed in the cafeteria, the grunting and shouting of players and cheering of cheerleaders in the field and teacher's voice is heard in each classroom. But At night, the stillness pressed down on her like a heavy weight. It wrapped around her throat, tightening with every passing second until her heart raced and her mind buzzed with imagined catastrophes.
Red finally sat up from her bed as she the first rays of sunlight peeked over the horizon. Another sleepless night. Not bothering to even try to sleep, she got up and get ready for the day.
"Red you okay?" A student asked, concern for the Red head noticing the dark circles under the girl's eyes.
"Fine" Red grumbled under her breath. Not wanting to sound irritated she tried to fight the tired feeling as she tries to pay attention to class as much as her abilities but unfortunately failing miserably.
It was like this through out the day, she had already fallen asleep in two of her classes. Luckily the teacher were understanding, seeing how exhausted the girl, thinking she was still adjusting to her school life in Auradon. It must be different from what she was used to.
"You having troubles sleeping?" Another classmate, brave enough to asked.
Red could only groan in response, her lack of sleep is taking a toll on her already. When the dismissal bell rang through the school, the loud sound making her jerk up from her seat as students exited the room.
"Here" the student hand a small device in-front of the princess.
Confused, she looked at the person for further explanation as to what the clocks it was.
"It's a sound machine. It helped me fall asleep when I had troubles in my first week. Maybe it'll work with you" the student said cheerfully before leaving for her next class.
Red shot her a thank you before taking the small machine back to her room.
"It's supposed to mimic natural sounds," Red explained as she unboxed it in their shared bedroom. "Like rain or waves or... I don't know, a forest or something. Just enough noise to keep me sane."
Chloe raised an eyebrow but said nothing, watching as Red fiddled with the buttons until the soft hum of ocean waves filled the room. She was aware of her room mates predicament and tries to be supportive and helpful to make her comfortable to Auradon or the very least help the redhead get some good night sleep.
The first night, Red finally slept. Chloe, on the other hand, tossed and turned, glaring at the glowing machine as if it were a personal affront. From the sound of ocean waves, the playlist suddenly change into what they called white noise. The machine blared the sound of static hissed like an army of restless snakes, constant and suffocating. It pressed on your ears like a heavy fog, relentless and cold. Beneath it, faint crackles and whispers teased at something unseen, leaving an eerie sense of unease.
Chloe didn't know how Red could sleep to such a sound while she was about to cry in frustration.
By morning, the bluenette's patience had run thin. "Red," Cloe groaned for what probably the 6 or 7th time already, "That thing is awful. It sounds like static mixed with seagulls having an existential crisis. How do you sleep to that?"
"I don't have a choice," Red said with a shrug. "If it's not that, it's silence. And I can't . . ." She trailed off, her voice unusually small. "I just can't."
Chloe softened but still frowned. "There's gotta be another way. We'll figure something out."
The next two weeks were a trial-and-error nightmare. Earplugs for Red? Too uncomfortable. Headphones for Chloe? They kept tangling in her hair. Sleeping in separate rooms? not possible. Chloe even started singing her with a lullaby, it worked at first but the moment she stops, Red would start turning in her bed. The princess hated waking up without Red's sarcastic morning grumbles, and Red's nightmares returned in full force without any background noise to lull her to sleep.
Tensions ran high as exhaustion took its toll. Chloe snapped at Red for leaving a wet towel on the floor; Red barked back that she never refilled the kettle. Every little thing became a bigger problem and all the frustration from the lack of sleep just keeps adding up to it.
It wasn't until a random Thursday night that they stumbled upon the solution—completely by accident.
"Maybe we should take a break" Chloe suggested, lifting her head from her desk to look at her roommate who remain sprawl in her bed.
"Yeah that's probably a good idea" Red sat up and face the bluenette. "All this brain storming is exhausting"
They were curled up on the couch watching an old movie, something lighthearted and silly to distract them from their shared misery. Chloe had her laptop balanced on her knees, and Red lay beside her. At one point during the movie the redhead had unconsciously sprawled across Chloe's chest. Her head nestled against Chloe's collarbone but she paid no kind to it and continue watching. They weren't paying much attention to the movie—she kept cracking jokes about the terrible acting, and Red snorted every time.
But halfway through, Chloe noticed Red had gone quiet. You glanced down to see the princess fast asleep, her face slack and peaceful in a way you rarely saw.
"Seriously?" Chloe muttered, rolling her eyes. She were about to wake up her and tell her to sleep on her own bed but you watch the girl's sleeping figure
But instead of waking Red, she carefully reached over to close the laptop, plunging the room into darkness.
Chloe had planned to move, but something stopped her. The soft rise and fall of Red's breathing, the way her fingers twitched slightly against her ribs—it was endearing. And then there was the strange realization that Red's head was directly over your heart.
The bluenette stayed still, listening to the steady rhythm of her own heartbeat and wondering if Red could hear it too.
By morning, the answer was clear.
"That was the best sleep I've had in weeks," Red admitted as she stretched, her hair a mess but her face unusually bright.
Chloe arched an eyebrow. "You passed out on me like a cat."
Red grinned, but there was a hint of something more—gratitude, maybe. Or relief.
The next night, Chloe offered to let Red fall asleep on her chest again. It became their new routine. She would crawl into bed first, propping up the pillows, and Red would follow, curling into her side until her ear rested over her heart. The rhythmic thrum was just enough sound to chase away the silence, while you were spared the horrors of the sound machine.
It wasn't perfect—Chloe still teased Red about her occasional snoring, and Red grumbled about her bony shoulder—but they wouldn't have it any other way.
In the quiet of the school, Chloe's heartbeat became Red's Wonderland. A constant, reassuring melody that promised safety, comfort, and love, the Sound of her Heart.
Chloe: Hey are you free?

It was a well-known fact around Merlin Academy of how close Chesirae and Bridget are. The two wonderlandian are always seen together and they know that the cheshire cat wasn't one to mingle with others unless necessary. They would often find the magical cat either floating lazily around the school—sometimes above Bridget's head or sometimes curled up in the princess' arms.
Chesirae wasn’t one to socialize unless absolutely necessary. As a Cheshire Cat, she lived by her own rules—appearing and disappearing as she pleased, often causing more confusion than clarity with her cryptic words and playful antics. A handful of students found her unsettling, especially when she’d float by with nothing but her head visible, her signature grin gleaming against the air, some find her adorable especially in her cat form despite her unique colours of her fur. As for Bridget, she was nothing short of a beloved companion.
The Princess of Wonderland never really mind and would sometimes even anticipate it. Whenever she sees Chesirae approaching—floating towards them—she would empty whatever is in her lap or arms and let the cat crawl and lay herself comfortably, she does this in her cat form of course.
Bridget never minded Chesirae’s oddities—in fact, she cherished them. Whenever she saw the cat-like girl approaching, whether gliding lazily through the air or padding quietly along in her cat form, Bridget would immediately make space. She’d empty her lap, clear her arms, and welcome Chesirae with open hands. It had become a familiar, comforting routine—Bridget would sit down somewhere, and within minutes, Chesirae would appear, as if called by an invisible thread that bound them together.
And Chesirae would let her caress her fur as much as the princess like, which is all the time.
It truly is no secret that the Bridget adores the cheshire cat. And she secretly took pride of how whenever other students tried to touch Chesirae she would just flash them her trademark cheshire grin which would often scare them. And if that doesn't work, she would evaporate, away from their touch, and would only return if they leave or when Bridget calls for her.
Today was no different. The two sat together in the academy’s sprawling courtyard, surrounded by the hum of other students enjoying their lunch break. The golden afternoon light bathed the grounds, and the ivy-covered towers of the academy loomed overhead, casting long shadows over the students below. While Bridget balanced her lunch in one hand and a quill in the other, trying to finish her homework, Chesirae had already finished eating and now lounged in her favorite spot—Bridget’s lap, curled up in her small, sleek cat form.
Bridget absentmindedly stroked Chesirae‘s fur, the rhythmic motion helping her concentrate on the complex equations in front of her. Every so often, Chesirae‘s tail would flick, and her purring would grow louder, vibrating softly against Bridget’s legs.
While Bridget focused on her work, Chesirae kept a lazy eye open, always alert to her surroundings despite her relaxed appearance. She noticed the way the VKs—Villain Kids—kept their distance whenever she was around. Bridget, for her part, never questioned why they stayed away. She assumed it was coincidence or luck. But the cat knew better. It was her presence, her reputation, and her terrifying cheshire grin that kept them at bay.
The VKs weren’t the only ones intimidated by Chesirae. Even some of the regular students of Merlin Academy found her eerie. But that didn’t stop them from being curious, especially about her relationship with Bridget.
A group of students approached their table, their footsteps cautious but eager. Chesirae’s ears twitched at the sound, but she didn’t move. She knew what was coming—they always asked the same thing.
"Hey Bridget?" a group of students approached them.
Bridget looked up, pulling her attention away from her homework. “Yes?”
"Can we asked you something?" The student shuffled their feet awkwardly, as if unsure how to phrase their question.
Bridget smiled warmly, always happy to talk with others. "Of course, anything"
“Well,” the student began, glancing down at Chesirae, who appeared to be asleep in Bridget’s lap, “how come you’re the only one who can hold Chesirae? She never lets anyone else near her, but with you, she’s… well… like this.” They gestured toward the cat, their voice tinged with envy.
The others in the group nodded in agreement, clearly just as baffled by the phenomenon. “Yeah, she never lets us pet her, but she’s always with you,” one added. Their tone was light, but the underlying jealousy was unmistakable.
Bridget blinked in surprise. She knows she's not the only one who founds the Cheshire cat adorable, both in human and cat form. A handful of students like Cherise but none of them were ever blessed with her attention. Only Bridget has that privilege which just adds more jealousy.
She looked down at Chesirae, whose chest rose and fell gently with each breath. "Oh" she said, her voice soft as she stroked the cat’s fur. "I don't really know what you mean. Maybe she's just shy?" she said sounding unsure herself. She could never guest that the feline on her lap likes her. More or else how Chesirae doesn't know Bridget likes her too.
Even as she said it, Bridget couldn’t help but wonder if there was more to it. Chesirae wasn’t shy—far from it. She was confident, mischievous, and often a little too bold for her own good. But with Bridget, there was a softness, a willingness to be vulnerable that the cat rarely showed to anyone else.
There are also times when Chesirae would joke around and messed with the princess, stealing her new bake treats first and sometimes even clothes and never gives them back or homework to copy but those, she still returns of course. But no matter how much the cheshire cat denies it, deep down she likes the princess just as much as she does her.
The students weren’t satisfied with Bridget’s answer, but they didn’t push. "Can I?" without even waiting for a reply, the student tried to reach out to what they thought the cat was 'asleep' and clueless of their presence, unbeknownst to them that she was aware of them the moment they started walking towards them.
Bridget's eyes widen, wanting to protest since she didn't want anyone to disturb her sleep but then she recalls how she knows her more than anyone else. And just like how she predicted before the student was about an inch away from her, Chesirae’s body evaporated, disappearing into thin air, leaving nothing but a trail of blue mist and, of course, her infamous grin. The grin hovered in the air for a moment longer, wide and sharp, before it too faded into nothingness.
The group groaned in frustration, but they weren’t surprised. They had seen this trick before. With a resigned sigh, they waved goodbye to Bridget and walked away, still muttering about how 'unfair' it was that Chesirae only let Bridget hold her.
Bridget chuckled softly, shaking her head. She loved how Cherise always knew exactly when to vanish. Once the students were out of sight, she leaned back in her seat. “You can come back now,” she called, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
And indeed, Chesirae reappear almost instanty, this time in her human form. She stood behind Bridget, her lithe body pressed lightly against the princess’s back. Without saying a word, Cherise draped her arms around Bridget’s shoulders, resting her chin on her shoulder.
Bridget's smile never falter, in fact it grew wider at the thought that Chesirae won't let anyone hold her but her. A sigh of relief escape her lips at the warmth the cat-like girl brings from the hug.
"Are you finish yet? I want cookies" Chesirae whined. She made an excuse for them to return back to the princess' dorm since it was staring to get a little chilly and it worries her that Bridget might catch a cold from it.
Bridget giggled “Alright, alright,” she said before closing her notes and stood up, not knowing the hidden meaning from the cat's excuse. Chesirae levitated from the ground and floats above the princess as she follows her. she said. “Let’s head back to my dorm. We can bake something before it gets too late.”
Chesirae’s lips curved into a small smile, though she remained quiet. She had her own reasons for wanting to head inside. The air had grown colder as the afternoon wore on, and though Bridget hadn’t noticed, Chesirae did. The cat-girl didn’t want her princess catching a cold, so cookies made the perfect excuse to usher her indoors.
As they made their way across the courtyard, Chesirae floated beside Bridget, occasionally drifting just above the ground. Her presence was as light as a feather, yet her affection for the princess was undeniable.
It wasn't long until Bridget and Ella became friends., much to Chesirae’s initial dismay. Ella, a soft-spoken girl with a sharp wit, had become fast friends with Bridget after an encounter during Potions class. Though Chesirae had been skeptical at first—sharing Bridget’s attention wasn’t something she enjoyed—she quickly realized that Ella meant no harm. In fact, Ella made Bridget happy, and that was enough for Chesirae to tolerate her presence.
Ella, at first, wasn't sure about Chesirae but she truly like Bridget, she's not like other royals in the school, and she happy to be friends with her. It took a little getting use to with the girl floating around and turning into a cat that could grin but after seeing how she interacts with Bridget. It did took a while for the cat to warm up to the blue-haired girl, and soon enough, the three of them became a small but close-knit group. She slowly became comfortable with her, to the point where others could see Ella and Chesirae together as they wait for Bridget.
On one particularly crisp autumn afternoon, Bridget and Ella were walking out of their last class of the day. They were planning on going to the library to finish up homework early so that Ella could help Bridget with her next bake goods she was planning on making for tomorrow.
"I'm thinking of making gingerbread man this time" Bridget said, her eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Would this be a normal gingerbread man or . . . " Ella grinned.
Bridget giggled. "Of course not. I'm using a few ingredients from wonderland" she stated happily.
Ella just shook her head, chuckling at how bubbly her best friend is. Baking with her is actually fun, every new creation was a mystery especially after Bridget started using ingredients from wonderland. Bridget’s Wonderland ingredients often led to unpredictable—but delicious—results.
As they walked, they were interrupted by the sight of a familiar striped tail dangling lazily in front of them. Looking up, they saw Chesirae in her cat form, floating mid-air as if resting on an invisible branch. She was, as usual, fast asleep, her body swaying gently in the breeze.
With a sleepy stretch, Chesirae floated down toward them, drifting like a falling leaf. Without even opening her eyes, she landed directly in Ella’s arms, much to the girl’s surprise.
"Hey Cherise, still sleepy as always." Ella said, laughing as she cradled the cat.
Ever since Bridget introduce the blue-haired girl to her as her friend. Chesirae had come to terms and tolerate the girl. And now she would sometimes accompany her whenever Bridget asked her.
But right now, the sight of the cheshire cat in the arms of another made Bridget pout. She stuffed all of her things in her bag before grabbing the cat out of Ella's arms and cradling the feline in hers.
The action startled the blue-haired girl but Chesirae didn't even woke from her sleep, unbothered by what happen, just letting Bridget handle her.
Ella raise a brow at her friend and smirked. "Possessive much B?" She asked in a teasing voice.
"No I'm not." Bridget denied but the blush on her face betrayed her.
Ella just laughed at her as the princess buried her face on Cherise' fluffy body.
Chesirae on the other hand was thankful that she was in her cat form or else she would have exposed herself as well, as she felt her cheeks heat up from what she just heard.

Summary: Bridget finds herself lost in the woods after the vks were chasing her and had gotten hurt. As she tries to find her way back to the academy, she had cross pass to a past friend
"Come out Bridget" Uliana called sweetly. "We were just having a little fun right" she said followed by a cackling laugh along with her followers; Harry and Morgie as they continue looking for the princess who's hiding somewhere.
They were at it again, bullying poor Bridget when all she wanted was to be friends. And like always, in exchange for her kindness, she gets tormented by the vks but that still doesn't stop her from befriending them and it seems like she won't stop until she does but for now she must hide.
Bridget then notice they were getting closer on her hiding place and the only escape is the window with no other hiding place unless she makes a run for it through the forest.
With no other choice, she opened the window and bolted towards the woods. Just as she hide behind the safety of the trees she saw the vks passed her previous hiding place before looking somewhere else to find her.
Knowing she wasn't safe yet, Bridget decided to walk further into the forest just to let the vks cool down and eventually forget about her.
"They won't look for me in the forest right?" She said to herslef.
But as time passed, little did she notice how unfamiliar her surroundings has started to be. She doesn't know where she is, everything looks the same and it's no help that the sun was nearing to set.
"Oh where am I?" Bridget asked herself, looking left and right.
At first she didn't thought too much of it since she can still see the academy but she went a further into the forest and now she's lost. And now, the sun is almost setting and she's not one that enjoys the dark. There were all sorts of path leading to who knows where. In wonderland there may be signs that don't make sense but she's quite familiar with but the woods here don't have any.
Just when she thought all hope is lost, the princess heard something, just far from a distance where she stands. She heard someone . . . humming? This deep in the forest? Well she's not really in the place to judge since she herself is in the forest. But unlike her, she's already panicking as the sky began to darken and yet this person is humming like they haven't had a care in the world.
Bridget followed the soft sound until she finds herself to a large tree and within its branches was a girl, lying with its . . . tail? swinging back and fort.
It was a girl but with a fluffy tail and cat-like ears on top of its soft blue hair. The girl was just humming a soft tune as if lulling herself to sleep. But what really intrigued her was the colour of its fur. It's familiar with its soft colour pattern of soft blue with pink strips. An unlikely colour for normal cats here but quite normal in wonderland to one particular person she knows.
And then it hit her.
"Chesirae?" Bridget called out to the cat on the tree.
"Hmmm" the cat-like-girl responded, not even bothered to open her eyes. But she's already of her presence.
Cherise Cat, unlike her father, Cheshire Cat —who likes to prank unsuspecting people in his woods—she likes to relax in her tree and away from people that would bother her. But she still entertains anyone who crosses her path. Especially this little prissy pink Princess of Hearts.
"Oh thank goodness you're here." Bridget let out a sigh of relief as she approaches the girl and her tree.
Chesirae open one of her eyes now fully awake from her nap. She stretches her limbs before facing the princess.
"My, my, what curious steps have led you here? Were you searching for something, or did something find you? But then, does it matter which came first"
Chesirae was always one that speaks in such riddle manner which to anyone else might find quite annoying but Bridget like it whenever the two would hold their rare conversation.
"I'm kinda lost and I was hoping yo—" Bridget admitted.
"One is never truly lost if they're heading somewhere, even if that somewhere is just beyond reach. But tell me, are you truly lost, or do you merely wish to see what's just out of sight?"
"Well . . . ” Bridget look down on we fiddling fingers as she recalls the events why she was lead to the forest.
"I was just out going for a little walk but then I got confuse where the path I came from since—" before she could continue Chesirae suddenly appeared before her, just a few feet close, her grin still in full display. To others it would frighten them instantly but Bridget was quite use to it and honestly find it comforting.
"You don't have to lie to me princess but I wouldn't force you to tell me either" the cat-like girl said as she levitates off the ground and above Bridget's head. It wasn't that she wasn't interested but she could see how uncomfortable the princess was in sharing so she let it be. "You'd need only to follow me" Chesirae said before she starts to floats along a path.
The princess smiled grateful for not pushing her to open up and followed quickly.
Along the walk you Chesirae wasn't even flying that fast but Bridget was falling behind. She looks back to the girl below and notice the faint limping movements on the girl's left foot.
The cat tilted her head before vanishing into thin air.
"Chesirae!" Bridget called out, panic arise again when she saw the cat disappear. She was about to run but stop when she felt soft hand on her leg, she looks down and find the grinning cat inspecting her leg closely.
"Well that won't do" Chesirae said before conjuring a bandage and gently wrap the swollen foot.
The gesture and how gentle Chesirae was being made the princess blush but let the cat-like girl do as she please.
When the cat was done she disappeared again and reappear right in front of her with her hands stretch out. "This is as far as you go" she said. As much as she likes Bridget's company, she wont let her limp all the way back to school.
The statement made Bridget confuse since it seems like they're still deep inside the forest. But nevertheless she took the cat's hand. Chesirae’s hand was soft and warm but before she could further speculate the touch.
Chesirae then pulled the princess close then twirl her around, evaporating both her and the princess. Bridget was shock from the motion but then when she compose herself, she realized that they were back at the school and in front of her dorm room.
The cheshire cat had teleport them back to the school in just a second.
"What the . . . " she turns to face the girl who was now floating just above her, with her famous cheshire grin still on her face.
Bridget notice that Chesirae was slowly disappearing again but before she could, the princess suddenly blurted. "Thank you" as she gave her a smile of her own.
Chesirae grins widen, she reach to the princess' hand and left a light kiss before her body disappear, leaving Bridget alone to rest. "Until the next time princess" the cat's voice fades along with her presence leaving only her smile before it completely disappear.
