Thirsty Thursday/WIP whenever
Thank you @silver-september for the tag!
I was just thinking how I missed tag games the other day! And I am responding late, per usual.
Here is a very silly snippet of something that I was noodling on.
Basically, Gale strains his back while picking up the cook pot, and Wyll decides that their group needs to start doing yoga... with Lae'zel as his co-yogi.
“Why didn’t you just use a mage hand?” Wyll asked as he pressed into a particularly tight knot in Gale’s back, just beneath his shoulder blade. The wizard let out a strained breath, wincing. “Because, contrary to popular sentiment, I am not unfamiliar with the basic movements of every day life, and I refuse to use magic for everything.” Wyll frowned, letting up on the tense muscle under his fingers. Gale was smarting from not only the lengthy crawl out of the last cave they’d visited, but from Astarion’s teasing. While Wyll didn’t know Gale’s age exactly, he knew Gale wasn’t up there with Halsin or Jaheira. Maybe Gale’s problem wasn’t due to age, but a lack of movement. After all, the gears of the finest machines would jam and lock up if not properly oiled or exercised with regular use. “Perhaps you should consider some calisthenics and stretches to alleviate some of the strain,” Wyll offered. “Ah, I appreciate the suggestion. I don’t think my self-imposed sabbatical in my tower did me any favors.” Gale added with a chagrined smile, which transformed into a wince as he rubbed at his lower back. An idea occured to Wyll then, as he watched the wizard walk slowly toward his canvas abode. Maybe it would benefit all of them to do some sort of ‘gymnastick’ exercises. When he was younger ,and learning the art of the blade, Wyll had trained with monk who specialized in ki restoration and practiced routines to enhance flexibility and still the mind. Sometimes, Lae’zel would go through a series of very similar exercises, stretching and priming her body for battle. Maybe she would be willing to share her knowledge with the group. Wyll could see no downside to asking, aside from Lae’zel’s withering stare. But he had grown accustomed to that after the first tenday together and knew any respect was begrudging at best. And so, that was how Wyll found himself approaching the gith woman as she sharpened her blade and asking, "Have you considered sharing your stretching regimen and routine with the others?"
Tagging @queen-of-the-dots and @ghouliaur with absolutely no pressure or expectations!
