My digital art progression #4

In honor of arcane ending I decided to do a jinx piece! I love this show and it's animation and art is so pretty. I hope I can watch it the day it comes out! <3

The reference

I know this isn't that finished but I decided to post it anyways cause I didn't think it was gonna get better and I actually like the way this looks!

Area I need help on: I mainly think that I could do better with shading and coloring. The hands aren't the best, and the eye bags are a little strange but i think overall I did a good job. (The more I look the more mistakes I see but those can be ironed out later and it doesn't need to be perfect to be worth posting so it is what it is)

As always art advice and criticism is always welcome from artists and non artists alike!

So I'm slowly starting to get a style and I'm more confident with head shots than anything else so this is my best work imo. I still think it needs some extra stuff and looks a little flat to me though. I never use color in traditional drawings so I'm expirementing with it digitally. I think the clothes are the most trick thing to shade.

I think all you need rn is to keep practicing what u like then slowly make the torso/bust, then keep going with arms and idk lower body??? this is so peak bro

Omg thank you!! Yeah I'm slowly working on anatomy and drawing small. The support means a lot and I'll take the advice and get smaller and smaller (more body, less profile) until I get used to it!

Neat idea. Should work on the sweater front gravity though, it looks like her breasts are protruding. Sorry but it's just too smooth

Gotcha! Yeah it looks a little weird cause I never draw clothes only close head shots so I don't know how to draw different fabrics and stuff. I did notice it but I couldn't tell what it was. Thank you for the criticism!

so these are both wips that I don't plan on finishing. I'm still working on anatomy but this time I'm drawing over a reference so I have something to work off of. I don't think that's cheating since I'm drawing a picture of a character over top a real person cause I can't freestyle anatomy yet.

My digital art progression #1

Ok this is part 1 of a multi part series where I try to improve my art over time. I'm a traditional artist who doesn't have an art style and at most can only copy head shots I see on Pinterest. I never color my drawings and I want to learn how to do that as well! (Note- I use ibs paint for my art)

Area I'm trying to work on: this is supposed to be a perspective piece where you're looking down at him. I don't know how to do perspective or anatomy/pose work so I tried it out here.

Any advice and healthy criticism from artists and non artists alike would be greatly appreciated!

We need more God of war fanfics. Like gow is a big fandom but there's no fics!? Where are the marvel crossovers!? Where are the adult atreus time travel fics!? I know we have a couple of those, but I need more. (my obsessed is too bad to only have 3 fics I'm in need)

Ok but imagine karlbus in the crush phase!? Like they start to get to the point where they're begrudgingly close with each other, sitting together in classes where they dont know anybody else and having competitive banter with each other. Going from petty rivals to begrudgingly being freinds that cant help but make fun of and tease eachother. Just think about it-

They're both sitting in potions. Albus relaxing since he's already far ahead and Karl focusing on studying for their next exam. Albus had gotten to the point where he was comfortable with his name. Him and his father reconciled, and albus having gained his own sense of worth outside of his family name. So as albus watches his crush flick through the pages of his text book he gets an idea, Digging through his bag, grabbing his quill, and pulling Karl's arm closer to him. Before Karl can say anything albus dips his quill in ink, and with a smirk on his lips he starts writing on his arm. Karl- who's completely confused at this point just sits there, used to the random urge to draw on him that albus gets sometimes. Karl spaces out for a moment, not thinking about the lines being drawn on him until his partner stops and pulls away. looking down he expects to see a little doodle or mabye some insult or joke, Only to see albus's name written along his wrist. Karl looks up and sees albus's prideful expression as leans closer to him before saying-

"There, now you have the better potter's signature."

I didn't put to much effort into writing this and it's probably cringe but me and @rigeljayy were talking about this hc and i wanted to share!

ok I KNOW I've said I'm leaving the HP fandom like 6 million times and even made a whole ass YouTube video abt it (shameless plug go check it out) BUT @yendts is at it again dragging me again kicking and screaming back into the Next gen space

And I'm not afraid to say this.

I'm absolutely sick and tired of Albus I absolutely hate his middle name Potter.

I mean don't get me wrong, I still love him

But I feel like James especially deserves way more love (this is a million percent cause I definitely project onto him) and def also Lily, and all the other cousins. THEY COULD ALL BE SO INTRESTING.

BUT NO. ITS ALL ALBUS AND SCORPIUS (again I def still love them. I just got a LIIITTTLE tired of them)

This is so real, especially the James thing. Bro has so much potential and the fact that most of the stuff I've scene with him front and center is him just being a knock off of his name sakes makes me take a mental hiatus from next gen content for a couple minutes.
