Tfw you pick up a mask on Malachor and decide to make it your whole personality, aka Temple Guard Kanan
Now with a companion piece of Padawan Caleb and the (not) Grand Inquisitor
This is about Luke Skywalker but none of them knows that.

That artist is the founder of Cara by the way (https://cara.app/zemotion/all).
Cara is the only art platform I have found that not only prohibits AI art from being uploaded on the site, but also offers their users to Glaze their art (which protects them from ai mimicry). They are also working on implementing Nightshade, which actively poisons ai training.
I have used Cara for a couple of months now, and I hope more people check it out. It's really nice. š
We need these kinds of places for artists, and it's also FREE (despite the staff paying out of their own pockets to keep it running).
reblogging this as I was just complaining about the rampant AI usage on pinterest yesterday lol
Even if you're not an artist, I highly recommend signing up just to lurk because it's been such a lovely wholesome experience free of the noise and brainrot that comes with the ads and reels on instagram. As a writer I think it has a niche for connecting authors with cover designers and illustrators. I'm documenting my experience in this thread if anyone wants to follow along!
I loooove my girls!
Can you guess the outfit inspirations? :)

Maybe it's because I have a weakness for toxic female characters, but I wanted Rumi to crash out even harder and go full demon mode with Jinu

The great thing about Gus is that he perfectly oscillates from playing the annoyed straight man to Shawnās general insanity to yes-anding to an insane degree. For every moment where he says no Shawn, you did not hear that both ways thereās a moment where he, with no prompting, claims that his fictitious ļæ¼grandmother with a broken hip was teaching a line dancing class. For every time he says Shawn, stop messing around at work, there is a time where after Shawn says heās been ālooking at the man in the mirrorā, Gus, in a move that never ever fails to make me laugh, with a completely straight face and no impact on the conversation, does the Michael Jackson āhe-heā. Heās insane. He thinks heās normal. He does 11 point turns. Heās a sympathetic crier.

I found an interview with Ryan Coogler and Ludwig Goransson talking about the music of Sinners, and there's a very touching part about how the mid-credits scene came to be. So, spoilers below:
The final scene in the film, technically a post-credits scene, was actually the first one shot chronologically. Coogler wanted to show a more recent link to the storyās century-old events, and he really wanted his uncleās favorite blues musician, Buddy Guy, to be involved. But he quickly learned that Guy, now in his late 80s, hadnāt been to a theater since the āfish movie,ā a.k.a. āJaws,ā and he despaired of his chances. Still, he arranged to go see Guy play in Chicago. āI get to the show,ā says Coogler, āand his whole family is in the backstage room ā his grandkids. And theyāre like, āOh, cool, weāre going to bring you to see our grandpa.ā And me and Zinzi go in there and sit down, and heās like, āYo, man.āā āIām not a movie guy,ā the bluesman said, in Cooglerās retelling of this momentous meeting, ābut my kids love your movies and they tell me that I gotta meet with you. So Iām here ā whatever you need. You want me to sing? Iāll sing. You want me to act? Iām on for the work. But I got you.ā āI pitched him what the movie was,ā Coogler continues, āand he told me his life story about being a sharecropper as a kid and going up to Chicago and trying to learn how to play. I broke down crying, because everything I had just written in the script, this dude lived.ā āOutside of the supernatural stuff,ā Coogler clarifies.
