Missing a ticket to the Critical Role Liveshow in Berlin?

I just wanna help get the word out, because there are a couple of lovely critters who are GIVING AWAY tickets for the liveshow, because they can't make it.

getting scambot messages from random accounts that clearly used to be normal active blogs is sad enough. you know that there used to be a real person on that blog until they were tricked into handing their password to the digital fae.

but it's an entirely new level of tragic when somebody you've actually spoken to gets turned into a bot account. it's like peeking at a zombie apocalypse through the window and realizing one of the shambling corpses was your friend.

and then the zombie catches sight of you, lurches up to your window, and shouts through the glass that they accidentally reported your account to tumblr and you'll be deactivated unless you click this link.

RIP to the blog that used to DM me to tell me they liked my new chapters. Their last known words spoken before being turned, 17 hours ago: "Ggs!" They were praising someone's deadlift.

the message they tried to get me with is probably the same message that got them, so for anybody who hasn't already been warned about the signs of a zombie account:

if you get something like this ↑ they're gonna follow up by instructing you to contact tumblr support on discord and give you contact info; or they're gonna link a website that looks sort of like tumblr support and say you have to email them; or any variety of "you must now contact tumblr, here is how you contact tumblr."

whatever they send you, it Does Not lead to tumblr. it leads to the master zombie that bit them and inducted them into the ranks of the undead, and will bite you the second they have your email and password. i might be confusing zombies and vampires. anyway,

it's easier to fall for these messages because the blog doesn't LOOK like a bot blog, because it ISN'T a bot blog. it's a normal person's blog that got accessed by a bot, meaning the blog's content CLEARLY looks like a real active user when you click on it. and yes—it might even be a blog you already know. sometimes bots like this go down a blog's DMs or reblogs and message people they've previously interacted with.

they got one of my treasured followers, and they can get you too. don't fall for their tricks. know the signs.

What are your thoughts on the idea of Mutent Mayham and TMNT 2012 crossing over?

Interesting question! I did check out Mutant Mayhem, though my memory is a bit fuzzy on it as a whole, so I don't know if I can answer this properly... But since the TMNT2012 bros are older, I think it would be a cute dynamic if they would feel a need to protect the MM-turts (especially if the MM-brothers end up in the 2012 universe, where humans are NOT that fond of mutants). ;^^

somewhere out there is a guy who meticulously takes screenshots of every individual frame of his favorite tv shows and then painstakingly etches each one onto a roll of film which he puts into his old timey projector and recreates the footage as a silent film with his own lavishly hand-lettered dialogue cards and original score that he plays on his upright piano and charges audiences one shiny penny a play. at last, big media has finally outsmarted ol' Zachary Zoetrope

PSA for everyone who doesn't know, explained simply

this is NOT because of blocking screenshots, it's because of HOW streaming sites use your computer's hardware to optimise performance, which means the thing rendering the video and the thing capturing your screen aren't the SAME thing. so they can't talk together.

you can fix this by going to your browser settings, searching for "hardware acceleration", and turning that off.

TPoH has become something so endearing to me, found it when I was going through hard times, I have never liked long comics because I found them boring, but when I found out about this one I couldn't stop rereading it over and over again, and now I cannot stand the thought of forgetting it. Mod, you are a truly inspiring artist. I have never come across something as clever, entertaining and beautiful as TPoH. It’s changed my perspective on art/storytelling and has actually helped me get going with my portfolio for art university! Modmad is such a rare and an extraordinary important presence on the art scene and my life feels richer from having encountered their work. Their comic "The Property of Hate" is an amazing story that SWELLS with love for art and explores the concept of creativity in a way I have never seen done before. Mod also has this gift where she can infect you with the love she feels for certain characters, even if you initially didn't care for them (I actively disliked Gladstone Gander before I read her fan comics about him, but now he is one of my favorite characters in Duckburg!?).

The OC I have picked is a little plushie-character I made MANY years ago, but never shared online. His name is Adric. He looks like a donkey with three fingers, a coat, cravat, a single peacock feather for a tail, and chronically sad eyes. He's not actually a plushie, it's just the form he has been forced to take for reasons not disclosed in my drawings. He only moves when no one is looking, which could be either a good thing or a bad thing.

Peculiar fella this one.
