since its summer, ill have some free time, but i also want to have enough money by my 18th bday (jan 19th) so i can move out of my home.

my brother, mother, and father are all emotionally and verbally abusive, but my mom is the biggest offender out of all of them. she doesn’t recognize me as nonbinary, and she and my dad constantly misgender me.

UPDATE: my mom has just told me i cant keep my hair the length it is bc she wants me to look ‘halfway decent’ in my senior photos, and bc of this, she isnt allowing me to get my monthly haircuts that keep my short hair in good condition. 

 the only way I can currently express my gender identity is through my hair. with short hair, i still get misgendered as he/him, but to be honest? it is far better than being called she/her. my mother knows this, and always makes a point to ‘correct’ the person by saying ‘no SHES actually a GIRL’, which is incredibly hurtful to me. so please, if you’re able to: buy a commission, donate, or boost this post.

UPDATE EXTRA: so after a long time of begging my mom finally let me get my haircut, but unfortunately it wasnt with my usual stylist. as a result, my hair wasnt cut the way i wouldve preferred, but either way, i can continue expressing myself through my hair.

One of the biggest problems with religion is that people stubbornly, insistently reduce God to their own size; they imagine that God loves the same people they love, and that God hates the people they hate. When your parents reject you, God loves you; when your friends or classmates make fun of you, God loves you; when your priest, minister, imam, or rabbi tells you that you are an abomination, God loves you; when politicians cater to people’s basest prejudices, God loves you. No matter how many times and in how many ways people make you feel less than human, God knows otherwise, and God loves you. When you feel frightened, or abandoned, or humiliated, I hope the unshakeable conviction that God loves you can help hold you and enable you to persevere.
