I gotta confess something that's been weighing on me for a few years now, I'm the one who wrote that smosh fanfiction... yknow the one with the sentence that now has merch. I wrote it. I wrote that. I dont like it, it was a few years ago, but I'll never take it down in case you've ever read it or highly enjoy that "tis I" line.
If you're wondering, no I cant believe it, no they didnt ask me or anything to use the line but I mean, its smosh fanfiction, they can do whatever they want with it I dont mind, it's in support of black lgbtq+ so of course I support it, its impact will be much bigger than I can make myself so please go buy it and dont worry about the small fanfic writer who wrote the line, I'm in full support and I'm humbled. I'm lgbt myself and an old smosh stan so can you imagine??? I still cant.
For sure, I wrote that book with no planning and it was mostly on the go, I was a preteen so my works now dont reflect that same writing style. Regardless, I'd never anticipated a small line of dialogue written in between a whole bunch of other ones to become what it did within smosh... the fact that nobody I know personally knows is kind of like, this ridiculous secret that's hilarious. I still love smosh and I'm glad I have this thing in it.
I dont post anymore about them, I rarely go on the fic site I used to write on, so dont anticipate me really contributing in that regard for smosh, but I did used to do it a lot, if you'd noticed, my fics were featured twice on two different fanfic reading smosh videos... I'm very much embarrassed. Thank you for reading if you ever did, I still keep notifs on for comments and messages and I'll always respond there!
