as anyone who’s spoken to me since november knows, my little beardie figment is the center of my whole world. i absolutely love him to death.

the past few days, he’s started to make this weird choking noise. i thought it was a one off thing but it’s been happening more and more often. i stayed up all last night to watch him and i plan to do the same tonight but just moments ago he’s had his worst episode yet. he’s swallowing often like he can’t breathe, gagging and choking while making a wheezing noise. ive ordered him some stuff to help in case it’s a respiratory infection like I think it is (ingredients for a slurry, new bulbs for his tank, a che, reptaid, etc). ive ordered about $70 worth of supplies but it’s clear he needs a vet visit. i am going to take him to the animal hospital tomorrow but that’s going to eat away all my money for train/bus fare and textbooks.

if anyone has anything they can spare to help out, it would mean the world to me. i know to some people it may seem like not a big deal but i genuinely can’t live without him and i just want him to be okay.

TLDR: my beardie likely has a respiratory infection and i need to take him to the vet but i am incredibly broke right now because of my increased tuition, bus and train fare, and textbook costs (plus i just registered for the LSAT).

Successfully rehoused this little beauty, and finally got a shot of those colors. The common name for this species is Brazilian Blue Dwarf Beauty, and man do they live up to it! With each molt this little fella just gets more and more stunning!

It's been a while since I've had Harley. He was given to me by a student whose parents' friends was headed to jail and needed a place to house the animals. They could not care for the animals either and were terrified of Harley in particular, so they asked if I could take him in.
