DPxDC idea #3
The DC universe has its own Danny Fenton.
The problem?
He's dead.
Dead.
The portal accident killed him years ago. The Fentons buried their son, mourned him, and somehow managed to move on.
Then a dimensional breach brings Danny Phantom from another universe into the DC Universe.
At first, nobody notices anything strange. The Justice League just sees another teenage meta helping during crises. But eventually reporters get clear footage. Facial recognition software finds a match.
Danny Fenton.
Deceased.
The boy buried years ago.
Now Maddie, Jack, and Jazz are forced to watch news reports of their dead son flying alongside heroes, So they chase him wanting answers.
And Danny is stuck trying to explain something impossible:
"No, I'm not your Danny."
The worst part?
Nobody believes him.
Because how do you tell grieving parents that their son really is dead... and you're just an alternate-universe version who happened to survive?
I think this would be an interesting way for this prompt from my blog to end up...
Sorry if this is intrusive. I just like the idea of combining them.

So most crossovers I've seen with Danny Phantom and Kim Possible has Danny befriending or crushing on Kim who is either similar age or older. What if, however, you had Danny be of the same age as Shego?
We know that Shego was once a hero alongside her brothers and we can speculate it was in her teens up until she became an adult and got her degree for teaching. So what if in that time she met a fellow teenaged superhero that she could befriend and snark about teenage stuff with?
Easy scenario to set things up: the three vulture ghosts decide working for Vlad isn't so great so they quit and decide to work for Avarius, Team Go's bird themed villain. SheGo and her brothers have a hard time dealing with the ghosts until a certain white haired Phantom shows up after tracking them down. Danny and SheGo instantly bond and become friends with snarking as their love language. Danny crushes on her but tries t play it cool. SheGo teases him, though hides the fact she probably likes him, too.
They take turns visiting each other and hangout. SheGo (I'd probably have her real name be Sheila) becomes just as much part of the Fenton family as Tucker and Sam. Meanwhile at Go City HeGo doesn't necessarily like Danny because of his former bad reputation as public enemy number one, even though that label stopped being relevant after saving Amity Park numerous times.
Unfortunately, Danny and the Fenton's good influence isn't enough to dissuade SheGo from the pull of villainy and she suddenly disappears, ghosts (ha) both Danny and her brothers. Danny is heartbroken and feels somewhat betrayed; I haven't thought of the exact scenario and circumstances yet. He gets his degrees in engineering and starts working for a Dr. James Possible in Middleton. She goes full villain and starts working for Dr. Drakken.
Eventually, Drakken needs some tech that can only be found at one place: FentonWorks. SheGo tries to bow out but reluctantly goes in comes face to face with one Danny Phantom.
Phantom: Been a while, Shelly
SheGo: Spooky.
Drakken: I'm obviously missing something her; do you know him, SheGo?
SheGo; Dr. D, not now...
Public Enemy
We know from "Public Enemies" to "Reign Storm", Danny was seen as a villain to the general public. Before he would deal with ghosts and only a handful of people saw him at a time, mostly the kids at school. After Walker's invasion, not only was he made fully public to not just the city but possibly the outside world, but he also was framed as a villain.
So in a fusion type crossover story, their should be supers, both hero and villains coming and going inside Amity Park to check out the new budding "villain". Heroes coming in to try and capture him and villains wanting to team up. Maybe a few fans wanting autographs from their new favorite villain. I know there was some of this back when there were a handful of "Danny joins Hive Academy" stories back when the Teen Titans cartoon was more popular but we need more of this, imho instead of the stories that seem to want to make Danny the perpetual victim.
Maybe a young, impressionable villainess wants to meet her celebrity crush (imagine Danny as the Bieber of the teen villain world) and Danny has to try to either get her to leave, convince her he's not a villain and/or reform her. Nothing goes well.
Professional Courtesy for Superheroes
I have a head canon that in a world where there are other heroes and Danny and his family have to cross jurisdictions to catch a ghost outside of Amity Park that Danny would extend some professional courtesy and try to contact the local hero(es) so that 1.they know that there is ghost activity in their area and 2. he (and his family if he's there with them) is there to deal with it, if the local heroes want the help. The reason Danny would do this? He's been the wrong end of bad press and suspicion in his career as a hero and he just wants to be honest and upfront to other heroes as possible to prevent any misunderstandings. Whether this actually works in practice, however...
To continue this into a more concrete story, Danny has to go to Gotham to handle some ghost shenanigans. I would set this up as the summer after Reality Trip where he actually let his parents keep their knowledge of his identity. He's going with Maddie (Jack is home sick and Jazz is taking care of him) for an official FentonWorks job. Danny, not wanting to run into any misunderstandings, decides to go out and find Batman to explain that he is there on business to give him advanced warning because he wants to be courteous and not cause trouble on another hero's turf.
Batman is off on League business so instead he bumps into Spoiler. I'm thinking post fired from being Robin Steph but right before she "dies". Spoiler decides to help to try and prove herself after being fired from being Robin. Eventually Cass and Tim tag along. Shenanigans ensue.
Phantom Professor at Titans Academy
So I have the Teen Titans cartoon stuck in my brain 20 years later and I had an idea of older versions of those characters starting a Titans Academy to train the next generation of teenage superheroes. Dani joined the Titans ages ago on her journeys to they know about ghosts and how tricky they can be so Nightwing decides they need a course on ghosts. Dani declines to teach it because she's too much of a free spirit but she does recommend Danny. Not Danny Phantom, the ghost hero who pretty much stays in Amity Park but Dr. Danny Fenton, who has survived high school and college and doesn't quite know yet what to do with his life.
Danny thought his life was weird enough with dealing with ghosts but he was in for a surprise when he found his parents entertaining some Titans in their living room they were waiting for him to come home with a job opportunity. Everyone in his family talks him into taking the job, which he does so reluctantly.
Not Danny has to deal with upstart teenager with powers who want to make it big and he and the other teachers have to teach them the skills they wished they knew when they started out. Everyone in Danny's class clocks that he was probably a teen hero but no one knows which one and there is a running betting pool as a result.
"He has to be a Robin or something!"
"Are there any teenaged ghost fighting heroes out there that he could be?"
"The Phantoms but that can't be right since Dr. Fenton obviously isn't dead."
"I'm telling you he wass the second Robin after Nightwing!"
There is a second pool on how long it will take for Danny to ask Raven out, since they work together on some overlapping classes and the kids see the obvious sparks.
I need more ideas for students for Danny. So far I have the original members of Peter David Young Justice comics: Kon, Bart, Tim, Cassie and Cissie. Maybe Anita and some of the new additions like Ginny. They hide Secret in their dorms because Dr. Fenton is a ghost hunter from a family of ghost hunters and they are afraid of what he'll do when he finds her. What he does is swiftly enroll her to his class and becomes her mentor so she can learn to use her powers.
This instantly makes Danny their favorite teacher.
A Haunting at Wayne Manor
So as far as I know, unless DC has retconned it, Alfred has been dead in the comics for a while. So this story idea is simple: what if he Mr. Pennyworth still is taking care of Wayne Manor?
It took a bit of time before the BatFamily realized something was off. It wasn't that details that the Wayne family butler was in charge of were left untouched; its that they we kept up with despite him no longer being with them. Supplies were resupplied, clothes cleaned, rooms kept dust free and spotless. Snacks Alfred was known for still kept showing up in cookie jars and cupboards. Fingers were pointed amongst them but no one took credit for the housekeeping; they were all too busy with the mission to have time to do was done behind the scenes like Alfred had done.
After they realized it wasn't one of their own, the quickly suspected an intruder, but that thought was unsettling, because it wasn't just Wayne manor that was touched but the Bat Cave as well. It was frightening to think someone with intricate knowledge of their double lives was infiltrating their home just to cook and clean and organize bat gadgets for them. Which only lead to one other conclusion: the manor's housekeeper hadn't quite left their midst.
It was Stephanie who made the suggestion: one young man who she shared a few classes with in college had mentioned that his parents were ghost hunters and he had dabbled in studying ghosts and spirits himself. After doing a number of background searches on one Daniel J Fenton and much deliberating, Bruce decided to have him at least look around the manor to find out once and for all if Alfred's ghost haunted the halls...
Still working the kinks out of this protostory but the idea has been stuck in my head for a bit. This is part of a series of ideas I have for Danny Fenton going to college to try and get away from ghost shenanigans long enough to earn a degree. The only problem is that he still runs into ghost shenanigans.
Danny Goes to College in Gotham
So this idea has been floating in my head for a bit: Danny, having somehow survived high school with decent grades, decides with his family to go to Gotham University to attend college with Tucker. It has an awesome aerospace engineering track and if he and Tucker play their cards right, they could get internships at Wayne Enterprises. Gotham has its own heroes and, as far as his parents can tell, there is very little ghost activity so Danny has no obligation to do any heroing. He just has to focus on getting his degree while Phantom goes on hiatus. He and his family thought they had all the bases covered.
Unfortunately for him the Fenton luck kicked in: a GIW transport passing nearby the city has crashed due to an attempted hijacking, leading to it's cargo, a hoard of ghosts, to escape into Gotham. Gotham now has a spectral infestation.
When the Batclan find that they have bitten off more than they can chew, Steph makes a suggestion: a student in her criminal justice class apparently comes from a family of ghost hunters. One search on the Bat Computer later and the Batman shows up in Danny's dorm room asking for a consult.
Now Danny is pulled back into ghost hunting while juggling school but he doesn't want to complicate things by having Phantom show up. Unfortunately, like many things in his life, it might not be up to him.
Basically Danny helping the Batfamily as Danny Fenton while hiding the fact he is a semi-retired teen superhero. Shenanigans ensue.
Continuing this idea, apparently in the comics, Steph and Cass live in a loft owned by Barbara. A lot of times lofts are renovated warehouses, so that means it'd be in area with more. So I'm thinking the Fentons, being great parents that they are, buy a whole small warehouse in the same area and gift it to Danny as a both a place to live and a place he can work on projects, since I'm having him be an engineering student.
The girls start noticing weird things happening at the neighboring building: a couple in hazmat suits driving a mix between a tank and an RV are helping a guy their age move in. Before the couple leave, they show up with a tray of fudge brownies as a gift to their son's new neighbors.
Steph: Barb, can you do some looking into the new guy who moved in across the street?
Barb: Any particular reason?
Steph: Hazmat suits
Barb: Come again?
Steph: Hold on... Cass, don't eat those! They could be poison!
Cass: No malice in their posture. Also if evil why delicious?
Wonder Mom AU: Danny and Cass Relationship Ideas
Danny’s dating history has me convinced Danny has a type. And his type can be described simply as “Can and will step on him.” Danny likes more dominant women. The type of woman that knows what she wants and won’t hesitate to fight for it. Valerie was a ghost hunter and although she was misguided in her belief that all ghosts are inherently evil, she did chase after her new dream of becoming a ghost hunter with an intense ferocity. Sam was similar. She believed in animal rights and would fight and die on that hill.
This, in my opinion, is what attracted Danny to Cass in the first place. She’s a hero, she’s a fighter, and she’s determined to chance after what she wants.
I’m a firm believer in the idea that it should be Cass who initiated the relationship between her and Danny. While I can see Danny being interested in possibly perusing a relationship with her even as quick as after their first meeting, I don’t think he’s the type to immediately ask a girl out. Cass however, at least from the fanon interpretations of her that I’ve seen, does seem like a more straightforward type of gal. She saw that Danny was able to understand her, she knew Danny was a hero and one with an impressive track record from Amity alone, and she’d know from his interactions with other JL members that he’s a genuinely good guy. That was all she needed to know to mentally decide she wanted him. Why beat around the bush then?
Mama Wonder Woman AU: More Danny x Cass Ideas
In the middle of the large Justice League Watchtower observation deck, many of the league members are hanging out after one of their longer battles. Phantom hadn’t been hurt in the battle but he had used a large amount of his ectoplasm holding up a segment of the building they were in while the rest of the heroes got out. He was currently healing in a way only a ghost could. Feeding his obsessions.
He was constantly fluttering around the large space, checking to make sure everyone was okay as a means to fulfill his protection obsession while intermittently looking out at the cosmos to fulfill his space obsession. It was during one of these intermittent checks out the windows when Phantom, not watching where he was going and holding his tangibility as a means to transport some lemonade for one of his fellow heroes, accidentally stubs his toe. On reflex he exclaims, “Fuck me!”
He’d been hanging around John Constantine a lot. Weirdly, the magus suddenly felt a sense of oncoming dread as Wonder Woman gripped her lasso with malicious intent.
Suddenly, from across the room, Black Bat, who had been signing her report to Batman at the time, immediately stopped what she was doing and ran in a dead sprint for Phantom. Leaping over other heroes, never once slowing down. Phantom had only noticed what was happening when he heard the commotion and turned to see Black Bat jumping at him eerily similarly to a cat pouncing on its prey.
Phantom on instinct, or so he would later tell Batman, grabbed Black Bat and phased them before her momentum could push them into the adjoining wall. They only reappeared an hour later, Black Bat looking rather pleased with herself and Phantom looking rather rumpled. His suit was on backwards, his hair was more of a mess than usual, his belt was in his hand rather than fastened onto him, and one of his boots was missing. A rather odd situation seeing as they were sure his suit was a part of his ghostly body rather than any kind of removable accessory.
He refused to look Batman in the eye for a week.
Mama Wonder Woman AU: “No Cass?!” “No Cass!”
Danny had done something wrong. He’d fucked up enough that Diana had to actually punish him. A rare situation considering that Danny, a hero and one who’s worked solo for years, rarely made mistakes big enough to deserve punishment or went against Diana. From the moment she’d rescued him from Jack and Maddie’s lab he’d been a total mama’s boy. Still, it’d happened and now Diana had to act as a proper parent and punish him for it.
Now then, how do Bruce and Clark do this? “You are grounded,” the tone she’d said this with made it clear that there was no way around it.
“But what about my hero work?” It wasn’t a well known fact outside the hero community, and even then it still wasn’t well known, but Danny actually needed to be a hero. He’s a guardian spirit. While his obsession is space he also needs to make sure people are safe.
“Other than work,” Diana agreed easily. She wasn’t about to deny her boy one of his base needs, as confusing as it was at first for her to understand that heroism is a need for him. “And no TV,” she tacked on mainly because it didn’t seem like a punishment so far.
Danny sheepishly mentioned with a shrug, “My TV’s broken.” Ah. Right. It had been broken by one of her boy’s rouges. The hunter. Skulker she thinks Danny called him. The hunter should hope she never got her hands on him or he’d learn she’s not nearly as forgiving as her son is.
“Then no computer,” she pivoted. It made sense to her. He used it a lot to play games with his friends back in Amity Park.
“I need the computer for school,” Danny once again corrected her. She’d forgotten that too. Her boy had asked to go to school online so he wouldn’t be beholden to the stringent schedules of a typical education. Ever since he’d started going to school online his grades had soared and Diana couldn’t be prouder of him. He’d always diminished his intelligence, comparing himself to his elder sister, and it had only gotten worse since his partial death at the hands of his parents negligence. The ghosts her boy fought at all hours of the day and night made it all but impossible for him to complete a school day unimpeded or to finish his homework without it being damaged. Diana had made it a mission of hers to help her boy see himself for the amazing young man that he is.
“Then uh,” she was really grasping at straws here. She couldn’t take his TV away since it’s broken, he needed his computer for school, and she couldn’t ground him from his obsessions without hurting him. What would Bruce do? Wait, that’s it! “No Cassandra.”
The girl in question popped her head out of the vent above and slightly behind Danny with a cry of “What?!” Diana was woman enough to admit that yes, she did startle. Both at the girl’s presence since she hadn’t had even known she was in the state but also because of the girl using her voice. She hadn’t thought it was one of the girl’s vocal days. Still though, considering who it was who startled her she wasn’t too embarrassed by that fact. Cassandra was the stealthiest of Bruce’s brood, including the man himself.
Simultaneously Danny interjected incredulously, “No Cass?!”
“No Cass!” She repeated herself. She was proud of herself for having picked and appropriate punishment even as both teens looked crestfallen.

Squatters' rights apply to grandmas. If someone's not visiting and looking after their grandma, but you will, after a set amount of time once you've settled in, that's your grandma now.
Someone tried to do that with my grandma once. The guy tried to become her kid so they could inherit the house and money.
My grandma people pleases in a way where she lies all the time, so it was really hard to figure out whether or not she wanted to be in that situation, but after she was started to disown my mom (who would travel a couple hours every week to see her) we started fighting the guy. We’re now in a legal battle because he’s been using some sort of squatter’s/tenet’s rights to keep her house, and has had access to the grandma credit card(cuz she just let him borrow it). And my people pleasing grandma is now staying with us, and says she seething hates the guy.
Idk who needs to hear this, but this is your reminder to go clear out unwanted squatters from your grandma.
“Bring me Gwi-Ma.”
I feel like one of the reason polytrix exploded(especially on tumblr) is the conceit of 'two of the hottest people on the planet will listen to you infodump and actually listen' with a side of 'and want to fuck you because of it' for those so inclined
And that's beautiful
