When we love God and trust in His plan for our lives everything will end up good because it will be for God. God can only be good and he makes no mistakes. We will go through trials and they will be hard, but we have to rejoice through them (James 1:2) and know that we are called to God purpose and have something much greater than this life waiting for us. So long as we believe with our hearts and our minds that Jesus is our Lord and Savior we will have eternal life with Him in Heaven. (Romans 10:9-10)

(Luke 18:22) We are told that the young man went away very sad because he was extremely wealthy. Was Jesus serious? Yes — He never lied. Was it just a test? No. Jesus said the same to His followers: If you’re not willing to leave everything, you cannot be My disciple. Is Jesus asking you to do something and you have been putting it off? Ask Him to show you when and what needs to leave your hand. Go to God and say, “Everything I have is Yours Lord. Show me what to do with it as Your faithful servant.” He will.

As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart. Proverbs 27:19 When you look into a reflective surface, like water or a mirror, it gives you a reflection of yourself. It’s the same with our heart and lives- the way we live is an exact replica of what fills our hearts. Where we give our time, what we put our hands to, how we behave, how we spend money etc all testify to what has taken up residence in our hearts. Proverbs 4:23 says, “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” Fill your heart with God’s word, let the Holy Spirit fill it with God’s love then your life will reflect His love, His compassion and His holiness.

Following God means going through battles. Your world is going to completely change when you follow Christ; saying your world won’t is a lie. You are going to lose some friends maybe even lose your popularity, but if you are truly worried about those things you are living for the material world not for God. He chose us as his people and because of it other people will hate us. God is always there for us though in those times of trouble.

Prayer is powerful. With it we can talk to God, we can have a relationship with Him. Prayer can save, you can ask God to help your friend and you may see them get significantly better. God is good and the only way we can communicate with Him is through prayer. Prayer doesn’t have to be you bowing your head in a quiet place it can just be you talking in your mind or out loud. You don’t have to stop everything to talk to God; you can talk to him while cooking or doing homework. You can talk to Him like a best friend and He will always listen. Prayer is Powerful and God is good.

We might not know why God waits to show us His plan, but He isn’t slow He just knows the right time to execute it. We need to be patient and trust God knows what to do.

I heard this verse two days ago and it is already impacting my life, whenever I’m irritated with a teacher or my parents I try to remember this verse because in reality, they are only trying to help me. Our authority isn’t making all of the rules they have to answer to someone above them and so on. When we act bitter to someone the only person we are hurting is ourselves, so instead we should just do as they tell us and do it with joy. Like Hebrews 13:17 says “... so they can do this with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.”

I feel like this is speaking to us especially in this day and age now. Everyone is always on their phones or doing something of this world, not seeing that that God is the ultimate thing we should be worshipping. God should come first in everything yet we put so much before him, including myself that we can’t really appreciate him. So this verse hit me really hard.
