It’s crunch time! Only one week to go before the INUSESS WEEK begins!!

We are so excited to see what everyone is working on for this year’s event!

 Just a few reminders:

This is an event for everyone with SFW and NSFW content, so we please ask that you label everything correctly so people can sort through things they do not wish to see. It is YOUR job as a writer/artist to label your work correctly and YOUR job as a reader/viewer to check the tags. We want everyone to feel safe, but we also want everyone to explore and not be afraid to post their creative works!

If posting directly to tumblr, please use the “Read More” option for fics so we do not have your whole story displayed. We want people to be able to scroll past any work they do not want to read for whatever reason. If you are unsure how to do this, send our mod, SnowInJuly, a message and they will be more than happy to help you out!

Please tag all your entries (when posting directly to Tumblr) with #inusessweek so that we and others can see your works and reblog them here. We also ask, if you can, to tag us @inusessweek in your post. This will really help get the word out and help draw more people to this event!

We also have an AO3 Collection set up for you to post directly to the InuSess Event Page on AO3! To post to the collection, visit the collection page: here and click “Post to Collection”. Our mod will approve the entries so they appear on the collection page and will also post the link to our Tumblr and Twitter pages to help get your work out there!

Although not necessary, we’d appreciate it greatly if you mentioned which day/prompt you chose in the tags or content of your posts. BUT don’t be afraid to post anything that doesn’t exactly fit any of the tags either! Sometimes stories/art take us in a direction we were not expecting and that is totally okay! Please share them with us anyway!

Jason had vanished after the run-in with the Joker, cursed and sealed in a glowing green orb, drifting in the deep. No one knew what had become of him…

Until Talia, a powerful sea witch, found him deep in the water-filled caves where she lives. She broke the curse, restoring his mermaid form and healing him as much as she could, but Joker’s magic had left its mark.

The venom, some kind of corrosive, toxic sludge that's always left behind when Joker uses his magic, had eaten into his scales, bleaching them pale and scarring some of them white. Even after healing, a faint, sickly green shimmer still clings to them, no matter how much time passes.

Yes! Or at least inspired by one.

They’re all based on different sea creatures. Dick’s inspired by a flying fish, Jason by a betta fish with a crowntail, Bruce is a mix between an orca and a shark, and Alfred is a blend of a leopard seal and an orca^^

and yes they work kind of like surnames, showing what family or pod you belong to. Also, most are enchanted to shimmer or glow underwater, but only to others wearing a matching bracelet from the same pod. It helps family members find each other more easily underwater, which is why it’s super rare to see merfolk without one, especially kids.
