something about a noseblow triggering a sneeze (or sneezes) just gets me, especially if they're super congested and the blow is so uber productive that the movement/shift in pressure causes a tickle, like they intended it to help them and instead it did the opposite send help
A fantasy setting where a cold can be magically cured, but only by transferring it to somebody else who has to ride it out for its usual duration. It starts out as people generously offering to help out other people - maybe a partner who knows they’re going to get it anyway and figures that at least one of them might as well be healthy, maybe someone who needs an excuse to skip work taking it from somebody who really can’t afford to miss work - but there soon forms a group of snzfuckers who take on colds for their own reasons.
someone so congested they literally can't think straight, constantly having to sniffle because their nose won't stop running, their bed absolutely covered in gross, soaked tissues. they don't even know whether they should blow their nose or just keep sniffing because the tiniest movement is enough to make their nose itch like hell and trigger another sneezing fit
was thinking all night about either maya with a cold, or maya with a Contagion Vector (like food or documents or something)
franziska's giving phoenix grief in court and maya makes a joke like 'want me to curse her for you' but then she starts thinking about ACTUALLY getting fran sick, maybe because she has the kink, maybe because she thinks it'd be amusing (and doesn't realize until later that she has the kink)
and then of course a few days later she gets her karma pun intended when the sight of fran in the throes of the worst headcold ever has her too horny to do fucking anything
I still really wanna write this one
DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT (not trying to be pushy lmao but i looveee ur fics they’re so hot)
repurposed so i wouldn't have to open photoshop
this is the only time i will ever acknowledge the men of ace attorney on this blog. enjoy it.
Drooling over the imagery of a hot woman, drippy/sniffly, red-nosed, sneezing repeatedly and all in all clearly miserable, coming into a pharmacy in spring, appearing somewhat desperate, begging the employees to help her find something for her
A: horrendous cold that she just can't shake; she's been like this for over a week now and it just doesn't heeeISSSHHEW-ISSSCHHEW-AHHISSSHHOO! End! None of the OTC things that she has tried seems to help yet, and she has an important event tonight/tomorrow that she HAS to get through without being a sneezy, snotty wreck like this. It's such a bad cold, she's never had a cold like it, she never sneezes just once or twice since catching this cold, it's full-out sneezing fits! When the pharmacist tries to suggest that it might not be a cold but allergies, she refuses to take it into consideration. She has never been allergic to anything in her whole life. When she mentions that she recently moved here (aka hasn't experienced spring in this region before), the employee is pretty sure this is a case of brand new allergies, but she refuses to accept it. It's a nasty cold and she needs something so she'll get through tonight's/tomorrow's event (which of course is outdoors) without making a fool out of herself.
or, you guessed it, the opposite, B:
She is exasperated and stressed out because she has a super important event tonight/tomorrow, where she absolutely can't be this wrecked by her hayfever. She always uses [brand name antihistamine] but it doesn't seem to even make a dent in this drippy, tickly, sneezy purgatory she's been in since yesterday or so. Yes, she has tried other brands too; she needs to get this under control before this event, but none of them works. If anything, her allergies seems to get worse, her poor nose tickles so much.. huhhISSSHHuhh! No, she doesn't have a cold, it's allergies, she always has allergies this time of year, of course it's pollen making her this hahhESSSHHHew! tickly, drippy mess..! Oh, sorry, she's a bit careless about covering since it's just allergies, she's not contagi-iihhhISSSHHHuh!
Love when someone is trying to take care of themselves and they're so worn down/delirious that they can't manage to do things without screwing up in a way that's annoying.
It's one thing to be sick--it's not easily denied, most of the time, given symptoms. It's another to be so sick that not only is it obvious you are sick, but that you actually struggle to take care of yourself, and especially when it's simply that your brain is playing catch-up, because--again, it's one thing to be so sick that you can't move, and a complete other to be so sick that you can't take care of yourself, despite feeling like you can.
People tend to view the problem with doing anything while sick to be physical, but I prefer it when they feel like they can, they should be able to take care of themselves just fine, because they can walk, only to screw up everything they try to do, inconvenience themselves more and more, deal with little annoying things that crop up, and finally give up in frustration, finally admitting, with moderate embarrassment, that they do, in fact, need help, and they cannot, in fact, do it themselves.
someone with a desperately soggy cold taking a bath and having to decide if they want to go to the effort of holding a hand out of the warm, comforting water to catch every single sneeze, or if they should just give up and let it all out uncovered into the bubbles.
someone blowing their nose so gurggly and thickly, its so productive and it finally FINALLY clears them up from that awful cold.....then they let out the messiest snz and they're back to square one with thick snot all down their face
Guys with soft, gentle sneezes. Lots of quiet, desperate, breathy hitching, followed by drenchingly wet sneezes into cupped hands or tissues, or freely without covering at all, the spray visible and sparkling in the low light. The kind of soft, gentle sneezes that still take over their whole body but issue with a kind of tenderness, like the sneezes are almost palpably fragile things. Guys with soft, gentle sneezes that turn their breathing ragged, and then they release that little sigh after the last sneeze, a sigh nearly indistinguishable from a moan.
two people catching the same cold, but one person is super sneezy with it while the other person is tortured with constant stuck sneezes and false starts
two people catching the same cold, but one person is super sneezy with it while the other person is tortured with constant stuck sneezes and false starts
A, with something of a praise kink, coming down with an awful cold that's adamant on making itself be known. A who usually resorts to stifling or just fully crushing their sneezes--pinching their nostrils--into silent submission. Except this cold is wreaking havoc on their sinuses with persistent fits and they can only stifle so many before they have to vocally let out a few...or an entire fit.
B, knowing how much A hates to sneeze in public, starts showering A with warm soft praises every time they fail to stifle:
"Good girl," "those were so strong," "sneeze it all out sweetheart," "I bet that feels so much better,"
Thinking about a stoic, intimidating person having harsh, growl-esque sneezes in public…
“GRRSSSHT!”
“H’RRRSHT!”
“HRRRGSHoo!”
But it turns out, those sneezes are just to keep the appearance of authority up. Their natural, private sneezes cuter, softer.
“Hih’tschiew!”
“Eih- Eisshoo!”
“Ih’dschi!”
Bonus points if they’re very hitchy and try to talk between the hitches.
She has one of the most miserable colds you've ever seen but she frustrates every attempt you make to take care of her. Won't use any of the tissues you offer her just keeps wiping her increasingly red nose on her sodden sleeves. Refuses medicine even though she's coughing and moaning and sniffling every few minutes, keeping her from relaxing. Kicks off the extra blankets you bring and only uses them to blow her constantly running nose. Interrupts or shushes you when you try to bless any of her countless sneezes, even if she has to do it mid-sneeze. Doesn't actually deny being sick, just denies you taking care of her at all decently, wallowing purposefully in her sneezy, drippy sickness.
character A is a default stifler but has such a bad cold that they’re fully at the mercy of their body, unable to stop sneezing, fully & violently. they’re so surprised by the urgency & the force that they don’t even know how to cover in time. & ofc A is so embarrassed by this newfound lack of control over themself.
character B has the kink & is working from home while A is sick, & can’t get a single thing done because all they can hear all day is A’s violent sneezes echoing through the flat. trying to do zoom calls & finish tasks while they’re absolutely losing their fucking mind.
yeah! :D
