The butch vs. femme infighting is a horrible discourse that genuinely really upsets me–ALL WOMEN EXPERIENCE AND HAVE INTERNALIZED MISOGYNY, WHAT THE FUCK STOP Don’t lump butches and gnc women together with transmasculine people. Don’t call anyone “masculine” who doesn’t identify as such.

It’s bad politics that reinforces both misogyny and transmisogyny specifically. It punishes women for being gender-nonconforming by ignoring the misogyny they experience and framing them instead as anti-woman oppressors, and positions “feminine” cis women as the only “true” women who can genuinely experience misogyny. And, heyo, it’s transmisogynist because if you’re equating “gnc woman” with “transmasculine,” then uh, you’re assuming that all gnc women are AFAB.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The only people who are men are men, and only men have male privilege.
