“Ghetto” is a high taste level art form that has been twisted to be seen as lowbrow and vulgar due to the propaganda from white supremacy. Personally, as I was growing up, I was conditioned by other white people that I went to school with to think “ghetto” was bad or embarrassing when in actuality, the whiteness I was surrounded by was ultimately trashy, ignorant, and narrow-minded. I had to grow out of that conditioning of seeing my beautiful people that way when the white people I was around smelled like their pets, drove big muddy trucks, and chew tobacco and kept a bottle of their residual spit. When I moved to Atlanta when I was 18, I experienced so much unique blackness so abruptly, that it was like I was seeing again. I was finally around BLACKNESS and it was so fun, engaging, and beautiful. Ghetto to me is whimsy and enthralling. Ghetto is loud and unique. Ghetto is beautiful.

The last few weeks have been quite difficult. It's been hard to be in a cheerful headspace. Still, I hope and pray that life gives you something to make you smile 💜

I've not been super satisfied with some of my recent drawings, but at least I'm doodling! 🔆

At the time of this drawing, I was actually quite sad and burnt out. (Oddly, I often struggle to draw how I feel and tend to draw the opposite emotion instead.) This doodle feels much more accurate now - I'm leaving my toxic workplace and accepted an offer at another place! I'll even have a modest pay increase, which is a blessing. :)

I'm still feeling a bit burnt out/emotionally drained and will take some time off, but I'm very thankful that, contrary to what my brain was telling me, things could get better. <3

The weird pattern of trying to rip black characters from the hands of black people, who already have so little representation in the anime space is disturbing. I feel like no matter how unapologetically, how undeniably, how very clearly black a Manga artist will make a character, if they make them look "too cool" or have too interesting of a personality nonblacks will start frothing at the mouth to tell you all the reasons this character couldn't be black. Like, you're just racist 😭😭 you actually like it that black people aren't looked upon favorably in Japan because it means less black people in your anime. Or, black people who are drawn and written to be disgusting stereotypes. You HATE it when they're depicted in real ways, despite screaming down black people's throats when they make edits of characters. You scream for us to support "real" black characters, then do this EVERY time a cool one comes out. You're sick in the head!! Desscaras is a black woman!!

yes this is about my boss who verbally assaulted and harassed me. like the only thing i can do is hurt his reputation and also his money.

okay. this is my old place of work.

for context the owner said i was hopeless, that i wasn’t doing anything with my life and would go nowhere and that i was bad at my job.

he also raised his voice at me and yelled at me ON shift. and when i told him i no longer wished to speak to him and i got my shift covered he followed me into the parking lot to harass me some more. i’ve never EVER made a post like this but genuinely don’t know what else to do. i’ve spent 4 years of my life working there. working open - closes, walking there because of my towns shitty transportation, have worked shifts by myself, covered NUMEROUS shifts.

not to mention any time my boss has verbally harassed someone else i have always stuck up for my coworkers. i am out of a stable income in one of the worst economies and he did this all purposefully to degrade and humiliate me because he didn’t like being told he was out unprofessionally and creating a hostile environment.

this post is about a lot of things. it's about my ex saying it was manipulative to talk to them in a cute voice because that influenced their emotions. it's also about someone on this webbed site saying being funny is "engagement farming". like yeah every single conversation you have is going to be "manipulative" if your standard for that is "did something with the goal of eliciting a response". if that bothers you go live in a hut in the forest and speak only to the trees. I'll be over here manipulating my friends into being happy by giving them compliments

being disabled and lgbt is such a horrible curse because you will see the most ableist take on earth online and you're like "oh surely this is some right-wing fascist loser" and then you look at the person who said it and there's pronouns in their bio. and it's like, how did we get here? but the reality is that a lot of abled people (and often disabled people who are intolerant of different disabilities) are just not even willing to confront the idea that they are capable of punching down on other marginalized groups

like i don't know who needs to hear this but you are Not as progressive as you think you are if you're saying stuff like the R slur, "jobless behavior", making fun of nonverbal people, mocking physical differences, using psychotic as an insult, or calling people "lazy" for using disability aids. even if you're gay!
