A bit of lore. Sam arrives on Pandora as a scientist with his own avatar, and Dean is with him but as a soldier. The action takes place in 2150 before the first film, at a different base near Castiel's clan — the outstanding Ikran riders. During Jake's rebellion Winchesters fought on the side of the Na'vi, and after the humans were exiled Sam and Dean stayed on Pandora
