People who try to copy historical writing styles don't say enough weird stuff in them. I'm listening to a 1909 story about a ghost car right now, and the narrator just said he honked the car horn a bunch of times, but the way he phrased it was "I wrought a wild concerto on the hooter".

My daughter is at an age where she's started really enjoying certain songs and so they get played pretty often, and there's one song she likes in particular called The Goldfish. It's very cute, it's about these fish that keep doing people things like brushing their teeth, riding their bikes, and having a shower, and then they go wait a minute!! We're fish!! We don't ride bicycles!!

Delightful. Gets a big laugh from her every time.

However, despite the song's title being the goldfish, the chorus CLEARLY SAYS

"Wait a minute! We're fish!

Let's go swimming, let's go swimming,

At the BOTTOM of the ocean"

Now ladies and gentlefriends of the jury, I do not believe goldfish live at the bottom of the ocean. So I present to you, the fish that live rent free in my little head, riding their bicycles and practicing good hygiene.
