Whole Cake Island makes me insane for how it re-contextualizes Sanji's relationship with Zeff. Like can you imagine growing up in what is arguably one of the most traumatic and abusive family dynamics imaginable where basically everyone hates you and talks about how worthless and stupid you are...

...only to have a random guy you have never met and do not know cut off and eat his own leg to save your life.

AND to spend your life up to that point being mocked mercilessly for your love of cooking bcs that's servants work and then have the guy who saves you, who maims himself for the sake of a kid he just met, be the exact type of person your family considered worthless.

Sanji makes me insane I could talk about him for hours.

My favorite scene is when Judge lists off all the things he hates about Sanji and Luffy just goes "Why did he start complimenting you?"

One of the things which has kept me busy is being a character portrait artist for the upcoming game "Bad Janitor". It's been fun.

This was one of my favorite scenes because Ushigome's generally the most mature, calm and kind-natured of the girls and gives out a lot of support/advice but the second Unoki asked her to hit him she beat the shit out of him with zero hesitation or thought whatsoever, presumably out of repressed rage at the typical dense romcom protagonist bullshit he and his love interest make her deal with

Also she's just Into That in a flip on the typical "delinquent with a kind heart" trope; she's a good person that also happens to be a sadist so bludgeoning delinquents is a preferred pastime

FIGHT KNIGHT update #28: Truckin’ along

Hey everybody, Thomas here again with the new bimonthly update. The last two weeks have been fairly uneventful but that suits me just fine! There’s not much to show off but I’m happy with my output over the last two weeks. As you might reclal, here’s where I was with things two weeks ago, when I started my final pass on the character scenes:

Some pause menu shenanigans. The backbone for this kind of move swapping existed for a long while, but it’s finally accessible in-game. Also had to refactor some moves to fit into this system, because previously they were hardcoded to work only under specific conditions, which I’ve moved away from to keep the controls clean and simple.

This morning I was suddenly possessed by the idea of animating the blabberf title logo thing in Gun Rounds, and adding it to the game was the only way I could exorcise it.
