Aliya had been wandering the premise of campus since day one and yet, how hadn’t she stumbled upon the track? A wide grin was plastered across her face as she cautiously approached the field, head turning left and right while she rejoiced in the new space. This was the reason why she ventured out. The feeling of satisfaction from discovering a new place was so rewarding, especially when after 6 months of claiming herself as a resident on campus also meant familiarity. While the connotation of the word had positive outlooks, familiarity also meant overly comfortable and boring to Aliya.
She noticed the other diligently training and couldn’t help but feel mesmerized at their diligence in drilling the ball back and forth before taking the win as it flew into the net. Her face lit up when it did so and naturally, she brought her fists up, cheering for their success. A gasp escaped from the girl when they’d pause in their training and brought their head up and made eye contact with the girl. Her eyes widened when he did so causing her entire frame to tense up momentarily. Shit. Was I loud? “N-nah, I’m no good. But you on the other hand–a-are you some sort of pro?” she chuckled nervously.
"Something like that." Roberto offered a loose grin. "I'm fairly new. I'm Roberto." He held out his hand to the girl, coming a few paces closer so she could shake his hand. “I’m new around here and uh... Well, so far the field is my favorite place to be completely honest with you. Not that the rest of it is bad but.”
