!!!! Someone appreciates my agenda thank you sm I need mutuals who support my schemes !!!! Gay love is stored in the body hair of every character I draw
and a shoutout to the two Māori men who travelled to Vienna in 1859, got themselves apprenticed as printers (and incidentally became accomplished ballroom dancers), and finally had an audience with Franz Josef where they charmed him so much that he sent a printing press to New Zealand….which was promptly used from 1861 to print the newspaper of the Kingitanga anti-colonial movement.
Just researched a bit- they’re names are Wiremu Toetoe and Te Hemara Rerehau Paraone and it’s quite a fascinating story.

i miss your spn days
well if the pattern holds just wait me out another 10 years and it’ll come back around
Yeah, machine learning can be kinda neat. But you know what’s even better? Actual learning
“After countless hours of research and development performed by our country’s top scientists, our company has developed a realistic AI human voice indistinguishable from the real thing that can respond to phone calls is real time”
Incredible. I was doing that when I was six years old. How much money did you spend on this
”Our AI admin’s intelligent response system allows it to take messages, summarize and generate emails, and enter and edit calendar events!”
Your thirty billion dollar Hazbro speak-and-spell set my in-person appointment to the wrong time zone without telling anyone and then told me and the company rep that I was wrong about what country I’m in
If we aren’t going to establish universal basic income for all the poor fucks being squeezed out of the workforce then we gotta legislate some kind of prioritized hiring system where you can use an AI system until a single qualified human being capable of doing the task shows up with a resume. I’m not joking. Prove to me that there was no other way to do X task. Justify your argument for canning the more qualified, more adaptable, actual individual who’s living on or below the poverty line while their skills are wasted in a completely unrelated field they don’t want to be in. That and/or pay a tax equal to that which you are withholding from an actual member of the community you are leeching off of. I am dead serious
I love visiting people who have some kind of pet reptile because they're always like "would you like to hold the reptile" and I'm like "of course I would" and then the rest of the conversation happens with me just holding a random reptile and the reptile Has No Feelings about the situation. They always just sit there, probably vaguely wishing to return to their heat lamp but clearly exuding an energy of This Might As Well Happen. and then I put it back in its enclosure and go home and the reptile very clearly has no strong feelings about the situation.
every time I see someone post about preventative botox and face wrapping and mouth tape, I take a moment to emote to make sure I get my lines faster
I fought like hell to have the chance to get older
you're damn fucking RIGHT I'll be collecting the trophies that my fresh faced teenaged self never imagined earning
I love the subject of aging lines on faces, because I love mine so much.
My mother died when I was very young. She was pretty young herself (in her 30s). You know what stands out in my memory, always? Her laugh lines.
She had beautiful creases around her mouth. She had lines across her forehead from being so expressive. She had to fight her own brain so much, but her face was full of emotion and laughter. I associate those kinds of lines with her, even more than her hairstyle or dress sense - god, I barely even remember what she wore, except in photos I've seen since I got older.
But I always remembered her smile, and the way it changed her whole face. And when I got old enough to notice lines around my eyes forming, and at the corners of my mouth, I felt so much love. I could see my late, beloved mother in my own face. I could see her smile more clearly in mine.
I know we're often trained to think - especially as women - that looking older is either some kind of crime, or terrible fate, but it's not. It's really not. Most people honestly don't care or notice that you have them at all.
I'm in my 40s now. I've outlived my mother's lifespan, and I carry her with me in the colour of my hair and the way my face changes when I smile. That's what I focus on when I see those lines. I invite you to find something to focus on other than whatever negative associations you have with those signs that you're not 16 anymore.
Maybe that's a beloved older relative's face, like it is for me; a mum, aunt, or grandma. Maybe like those above me it's a sign that you made it this far, a trophy of survival. Maybe you associate other memories with those lines - times you laughed with friends, squinted against the sun reflected off the ocean, widened your eyes in awe.
Whatever it is for you, find some good associations to replace the negative ones. Looking in the mirror and seeing your own face shouldn't have to provoke anxiety. It's ok if you're struggling with it, but you can learn to change that, I promise. It's all about perspective.
extremely casual and normal way to relax
imagine if the oceans were replaced by forests and if you went into the forest the trees would get taller the deeper you went and there’d be thousands of undiscovered species and you could effectively walk across the ocean but the deeper you went, the darker it would be and the animals would get progressively scarier and more dangerous and instead of whales there’d be giant deer and just wow
you have a beautiful imagination
I hate when people ask me about my preference but I don’t understand their preference level. Like yes I kinda want Chinese food 10% more than I want a sandwich but if you want a sandwich like 40% more than Chinese food then I would say it’s totally reasonable we get sandwiches.
